Most of us bloggers keep an eye on our region so that we may comment on the developments that effect our country.

Since I live in the Gulf South I keep an eye on the US mini dictator, the governor of Florida DeSantis (I had better be careful or he may send the Floridian thought police after me)…..

DeSantis recently went to California to make a speech at the Reagan Library to promote his new book…..

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Sunday blasted “leftist politicians” and touted his state’s “massive gains” in a speech in California amid speculation that he’ll jump into the 2024 presidential race. 

“We’ve witnessed a great American exodus from states governed by leftist politicians imposing leftist ideologies and delivering poor results. And you can see massive gains in states like Florida, who are governing according to the tried and true principles that President Reagan held dear,” DeSantis said in remarks at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Southern California with the Orange County GOP, as reported by The Washington Post. 

The governor said he was there “to share the Florida Blueprint to preserve and protect freedom” as he promotes his new book, “The Courage to Be Free: Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Revival.”

One of Ron DeSantis’ appointees to a special district that will oversee Walt Disney World once amplified a conspiracy theory that tap water could be turning people gay, according to a report from CNN.

Ron Peri, the CEO of The Gathering, a Christian ministry, also disparaged homosexuality, calling it “shameful,” according to CNN.

In a video of a January 2022 Zoom discussion, Peri claimed, without evidence, that higher levels of estrogen in the water from birth control pills led to lower levels of testosterone in men.

“So why are there homosexuals today? There are any number of reasons, you know, that are given. Some would say the increase in estrogen in our societies,” he said, according to the CNN report. He also linked homosexuality to disease.

Peri also said, according to the KFile report, “There are a lot of unhealthy effects of a homosexual lifestyle. There are diseases, but it goes beyond that.”

Deputizing a Nation

Recently I wrote about the amount of vigilantes that are hitting our streets….all claim to be ‘policing’ the society….but read it for yourself……https://lobotero.com/2022/01/04/vigilantes-on-parade/

Think back to the days of the Nazis when people were used to spy and inform on friends and family….or the East German Stasi that used people in the same manner…..and that disgusting trend is appearing here in the US…….

So now Texas deputizes its citizens to snitch on women getting abortions, while Oklahoma authorizes its parents to police school libraries. If an Oklahoma parent objects to a book in the school library, and it’s not gone in 24 hours, the librarian gets fired. Clearly this new vigilantism is a trend. Constitutional rights to privacy or against censorship are flying out the window.

What next? Well, think about it: Deputizing Montanans to rat on neighbors who won’t hunt wolves, or empowering oil and gas companies to sue pipeline protestors. Deputizing busybodies to report their neighbors for using birth control. Rewarding Floridians for informing the local prosecutor on anyone who uses the phrase “climate change” (after all, former governor Rick Scott banned the term, an imbecility he should never be allowed to forget). Authorizing anyone to punch anyone who tells them to wear a face mask. Deputizing parents to sue school systems that require ANY vaccines. Allowing anyone to ram their car into anyone they think “might be antifa.” Basically, just name anything currently annoying the idiotic average American reactionary and before long that creature will be deputized to take action against it, as if it were as objectionable as cannibalism. The list is endless.

So it’s time to turn this stupid fad on its head. California’s plan to deputize its citizens against gun manufacturers blazes the way. Governor Gavin Newsom produced this stupendous idea and he’s to be commended. If Californians sue gun manufacturers out of business – voila! No more school slaughters. Who cares about the second amendment, especially when Oklahoma already ditched the first? Clearly, it’s open season on the bill of rights – most of which American morons oppose on principle anyway.

Blue states could also deputize their citizens to sue hospitals that give beds to unvaccinated covid patients. It sounds nasty, but vaccine advocates will no doubt argue that anti-vaxxers are there by choice. They opted not to protect themselves against a lethal plague. And how is suing the hospital and doctors that enable their lousy choice any different from suing a doctor for providing an abortion to a 12-year-old raped by her HIV-positive uncle? Once you start chopping down constitutional rights, soon the whole forest disappears. But hey, Homo Americanus clearly thinks those rights are defective, insofar as he can be said to think at all.

Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene expressed support for penalizing those who move from Democratic-controlled states to Republican-controlled states by temporarily stripping their right to vote or imposing an extra tax.

The idea, she said, would be possible in a “National Divorce scenario,” though Greene appeared to be musing about the idea rather than promoting a specific piece of legislation.

“After Democrat voters and big donors ruin a state like California, you would think it wise to stop them from doing it to another great state like Florida,” Greene said.

Pedro Gonzalez, an editor at Chronicles magazine with populist views, proposed a transplant penalty in response to a viral Twitter thread from a man moving from the Bay Area to Miami, Florida, who criticized California’s policies but was “apprehensive” about his destination’s “worse politics.”

Greene made her remarks on the Joe Pags Show after it was reported that the Biden administration will allow hospitals to use ethnicity when determining who is at “high risk” for severe illness. The “high risk” label allows a patient to more quickly qualify for monoclonal antibodies like sotrovimab.

Conservatives have criticized the policy as “racist.”

For decades the GOP has had two idols….Reagan and Lincoln…..but all that has apparently changed. It appears the Abe Lincoln is losing some of his luster among those that pray at the altar of Trump….

With all the hoopla around the removal of statues that celebrate the Traitorous generals of the Confederacy it seems that some are now turning on Lincoln in retaliation for the removals….

This week, the statue of General Robert E. Lee in Richmond, Virginia — one of the largest standing monuments to the Confederacy — was taken down from Monument Avenue, a major victory for activists who have long sought to remove white supremacist symbols in the public square.

Republican Missouri state Rep. Tony Lovasco tweeted that people should be “fair and balanced” about “tearing down statues of reprehensible people” — and accompanied this with a picture of the Lincoln Memorial.

Lovasco did not clarify why he considered the father of the Republican Party — and the president widely credited with saving America from the Civil War and bringing about the end of slavery — to be “reprehensible,” but doubled down in a follow-up tweet, insisting he didn’t support the Confederacy either.

The news is filled with some overpaid accountant and condo collapse and some silliness from Congress….and yet this story was not important enough for the MSM to bother reporting….

This is a disturbing report of an active duty serviceman that was intent on committing violence against his fellow Americans….

An active-duty U.S. Marine came under federal investigation for allegedly plotting with at least two others to assassinate minorities, drug users, and employees of the Democratic National Committee with explosives, rocket launchers, and automatic rifles.

That’s according to a newly unsealed FBI search warrant affidavit obtained by The Daily Beast, which indicates USMC Private First Class Travis Owens and his partners in the unrealized murder plot were influenced by Timothy McVeigh, the former U.S. Army soldier behind the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing that left 168 people dead and injured nearly 700. The document also states that one of the suspects had links to the Atomwaffen Division, a violent neo-Nazi group linked to at least five murders. A handful of active service members and veterans have been identified as being members of Atomwaffen, which calls for the armed overthrow of the U.S. government.

This is a scary report….but it should not come as a surprise…..

Law enforcement, the military, and politics in the United States have been infiltrated by white supremacists, who use it to recruit others and gain paramilitary training.

The claim, by a former neo-Nazi skinhead who now works as an anti-racist activist, is supported by internal reports on local policing by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the top domestic law enforcement agency in the US.

Membership in a white supremacist or neo-Nazi group won’t necessarily get a U.S. service member tossed out of the military, defense officials told a House subcommittee Tuesday.

The officials, including representatives of Naval Criminal Investigative Service and the Army‘s Criminal Investigation Division, appeared to make a distinction between membership in an extremist organization and “active participation” in deciding on recruitment and retention.

The officials also told a hearing of the House Armed Services subcommittee on personnel that they had no reliable data on how many service members had been administratively discharged for espousing white supremacist ideology or how many potential recruits had been barred from enlisting.

The context: Putin is likely to come under strong criticism from Biden at their meeting in Geneva for moves against his political opponents in Russia, particularly the imprisonment of opposition leader Alexei Navalny, the detention of thousands of demonstrators protesting his arrest, and the outlawing of Navalny’s organizations as extremist. “You are presenting it as dissent and intolerance toward dissent in Russia,” Putin said in an interview with NBC News. “We view it completely differently.” He then pointed to the Jan. 6 unrest in Washington.

“Do you know that 450 individuals were arrested after entering the Congress?” he said. “They came there with political demands.”

A New Hampshire man who admitted in a media interview to entering the Capitol and drinking wine he stole from a lawmaker’s office said he’s running to unseat Democrat Ann Kuster as state representative.

Josh and Jessica Bustle have reached a plea agreement for their participation in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. Jessica infamously posted on social media that Vice President Mike “Pence is a traitor.”

The couple was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, knowingly engaging in disorderly or disruptive conduct in restricted building or grounds, violent entry and disorderly conduct on capitol grounds, and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in Capitol buildings.

“Several tips were received indicating that Jessica BUSTLE and her husband Joshua BUSTLE were present at the Capitol and entered the building,” said the Statement of Facts from the Justice Department. “These tips included Facebook postings which appear to have been made by Jessica BUSTLE.”

Intel says that there could be more violence of the horizon……

A new federal intelligence report warns that adherents of QAnon, the conspiracy theory embraced by some in the mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol, could target Democrats and other political opponents for more violence as the movement’s false prophecies don’t come true.

Many QAnon followers believe former President Donald Trump was fighting enemies within the so-called “deep state” to expose a cabal of Satan-worshipping cannibals operating a child sex-trafficking ring. Trump’s loss to President Joe Biden disillusioned some believers in “The Storm,” a supposed reckoning in which Trump’s enemies would be tried and executed. Some adherents have now pivoted to believing Trump is the “shadow president” or Biden’s victory was an illusion.

The report was compiled by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security and released Monday by Senator Martin Heinrich, a New Mexico Democrat. It predicts that while some QAnon adherents will pull back, others “likely will begin to believe they can no longer “trust the plan” referenced in QAnon posts and that they have an obligation to change from serving as “digital soldiers” toward engaging in real-world violence.”

As an example, Griffin showed part of his discussion with Donovan Crowl, a retired Marine and member of the far-right paramilitary group the Oath Keepers, who is facing multiple charges stemming from his invasion of the Capitol — but who doesn’t view it as a serious situation. “I was hanging out with some of the wrong people it seems like, but I didn’t really do anything, so I feel pretty good that my case is going to come out and show that.”

A U.S. Capitol rioter says he attacked a police officer during the Jan. 6 insurrection because the officer made fun of the Donald Trump supporters violently storming the building.

Newly released video shows 54-year-old Thomas Webster, a Marine Corps veteran and former New York City police officer, screaming profanities at officers and striking at least one of them with a flagpole before tackling the officer, but his defense attorneys intend to blame the victim for the attack, reported MSNBC’s Scott MacFarlane.

“Showing little regard for the peaceful protesters present, Officer N.R. can be seen reaching over the metal barrier and pushing a peaceful male protester wearing a maroon sweatshirt who was blinded by pepper spray,” a court filing says. “Officer N.R. can also be observed mocking several protesters who were complaining about this Officer’s excessive use of force.”

Waco Tribune-Herald reported that a man from Gatesville, Texas who claimed he felt “invincible” storming the Capitol is among the many arrested by the FBI for their involvement in the incident.

Stacy Wade Hager, 57, was arrested May 27 in Waco after someone who saw his Facebook posts alerted federal authorities.

“Photos from the riot show Hager wearing a ‘Trump’ baseball cap and carrying a Texas flag. Hager is seen on a video talking to a District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department officer outside the Capitol, according to records in his case. The officer told Hager, ‘Nah, nah, I get it, you are just walking up behind our line,’ according to federal records,” wrote the Waco Tribune-Herald. “‘Hager then responded: ‘Actually that was my purpose.’ The MPD officer continued, ‘If you could not, we are all trying to stay safe and get home.’ Hager replied, ‘I know you are and I really appreciate y’all.’ However, Hager continued to walk past the MPD officer and through the barricades where he was instructed by police not to go,’ according to federal records.”

The Justice Department and the FBI are investigating whether high-profile right-wing figures — including Roger Stone and Alex Jones — may have played a role in the Jan. 6 Capitol breach as part of a broader look into the mind-set of those who committed violence and their apparent paths to radicalization, according to people familiar with the investigation.

The investigation into potential ties between key figures in the riot and those who promoted former president Donald Trump’s false assertions that the election was stolen from him does not mean those who may have influenced rioters will face criminal charges, particularly given U.S. case law surrounding incitement and free speech, the people said. Officials at this stage said they are principally seeking to understand what the rioters were thinking — and who may have influenced beliefs — which could be critical to showing their intentions at trial.

One insurrectionist is trying to find a way to lessen the penalty for her actions on 06 January….

An Indiana woman, expected Wednesday to be the first of more than 400 people charged in the Capitol attack to be sentenced, has agreed to plead guilty to a single federal charge, saying movies and books have showed her what life is like for nonwhite people. In a letter to the judge, Anna Morgan-Lloyd of Bloomfield apologized for entering the Capitol building and failing to remove herself from a violent crowd. Had she done so, violent participants “may have lost the nerve to do what they did,” wrote the 49-year-old grandmother, per the Indianapolis Star. “For that I am sorry and take responsibility.” Attached to her letter were movie and book reports for Schindler’s List, which tells of a factory owner’s efforts to save 1,200 Jews during the Holocaust, and Just Mercy, which explores Bryan Stevenson’s career fighting against racial injustice in the legal system.

Morgan-Lloyd said she’d “lived a sheltered life,” per HuffPost. But “I’ve learned that even though we live in a wonderful country, things still need to improve. People of all colors should feel as safe as I do to walk down the street.” On Facebook, she’d described Jan. 6 as the “best day ever,” adding she was among “the first 50 people” inside the Capitol, per WUSA. But she now says she’s “ashamed” at how the events of the day unfolded. Initially charged with four counts, she’ll plead guilty to misdemeanor parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building in exchange for three years probation, a $500 fine, and 40 hours of community service, per WUSA. Acting US Attorney Channing Phillips has agreed to the deal, acknowledging her remorse, lack of criminal history, and cooperation. Authorities note she didn’t engage in violence or damage property.

First I would like to give my props to those that are hunting down these traitorous pigs….

The revolution was televised. Or at least live-streamed. And now a network of online amateur sleuths is dedicated to identifying those who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6. In a profile at Bloomberg Businessweek, David Yaffe-Bellany talks to several of these “sedition hunters” about their mission to pore over endless hours of video and still images and set up databases for cross-referencing, all as volunteers. “Every person brings a piece of the puzzle together,” says one of them, Chris Sigurdson of Canada. “People are only able to really hone in on somebody based on the work that everyone else is doing.” The 58-year-old, with time on his hands amid the pandemic as an out-of-work actor, set out in January to identify a rioter who doused officers with chemical spray. The FBI cited Sigurdson’s tweet about his work when it arrested a Texas man weeks later.

Another such sleuth is a stay-at-home mom in the Pacific Northwest who has annotated roughly 100 hours of video. She tells Yaffe-Bellany she now watches the video on mute to avoid burnout from the rhetoric. Another puts on classical music for the same reason. The crowdsourcing appears to be making a difference: The FBI saw a 750% increase in calls and tips to its main hotline immediately after the riot, and it is still receiving about the twice the normal amount. A spokeswoman says such tips have helped in “dozens” of cases, and the FBI continues to ask for help in identifying people in photos. The story also addresses a potential dark side—the dangers of vigilante justice or of people being mistakenly identified. “When you do it publicly, there’s just a lot more that can go wrong,” says an exec with the Anti-Defamation League. One insurrectionist is trying to whine his way into the history books….claims he was the victim om 06 January…..

While 140 police officers may have been injured and maimed, five people died and millions of dollars in damage to a historic building was done, one lawyer for an insurrectionist is claiming that his client was the real victim.

Many of those who attacked the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 are employing the excuse that they were dragged into it after they were duped by a cult of right-wing media. Anthony Antonio’s lawyer claimed last month that he suffered from a rare disease that only afflicts those who watch Fox News: “Foxitis” or “Foxmania.”

In that case, Antonio’s lawyer claimed that his client was radicalized to attack the U.S. Capitol after watching Fox News for six months. He then started “believing what was being fed to him” by the conservative network and President Donald Trump.

A man from one of Chicago’s richest suburbs was arrested and charged Tuesday with unlawfully entering the U.S. Capitol and engaging in disorderly conduct on Jan. 6. 

Christian Kulas, 24, of Kenilworth, wore a Burberry coat and a Keep America Great cap as he documented his movements around the Capitol grounds and inside the building in a series of Instagram stories, federal authorities alleged in court documents. He faces two misdemeanor charges, which carry significantly lesser sentences or penalties than criminal counts.

Republican lawmakers voted with majority Democrats in the Oregon House of Representatives to take the historic step of expelling a Republican member who let violent, far-right protesters into the state Capitol on Dec. 21, the AP reports. Legislators said on the House floor that this could be the most important vote they ever cast. They then proceeded Thursday night to expel an unapologetic Rep. Mike Nearman with a 59-1 vote, marking the first time a member has been expelled by the House in its 160-year history. The only vote against the resolution for expulsion was Nearman’s own. Rep. Paul Holvey, a Democrat who chaired a committee that earlier Thursday unanimously recommended Nearman’s expulsion, reminded lawmakers of the events of Dec. 21, which were an eerie foreshadowing of the much more serious Jan. 6 assault on the US Capitol.

Nearman said he let the protesters in because he believes the Capitol, which has been closed to the public to protect against spread of the coronavirus, should have been open. The assault happened during a peak of the pandemic. But even Republicans said the crowd outside the Capitol that day was not made up of constituents who wanted to peacefully engage in the democratic process. Some were carrying guns. Some shouted false QAnon conspiracy theories about Democrats kidnapping babies. They carried American flags, banners for former President Trump, and a sign calling for the arrest of Democratic Gov. Kate Brown. They broke windows, assaulted journalists, shoved police, and sprayed officers with bear spray. Nearman also faces two misdemeanor criminal charges and has said he will seek a trial by jury.

Misdemeanor charges?

I think that his actions are a bit more serious than a whack on the pee-pee.

Dozens of members of two prominent far-right organizations—the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers—have already been slammed with conspiracy charges surrounding the Capitol riot on Jan. 6. Add a third group onto that pile. Prosecutors filed a federal indictment on Thursday accusing six California men—including four said to have ties to the Three Percenters, an anti-government militia group—of conspiring to impede police or otherwise disrupt Congress’ confirmation of the 2020 election results, the Washington Post reports. Charged with conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of an official proceeding, and other unlawful entry charges are Alan Hostetter, 56; Russell Taylor, 40; Erik Warner, 45; Felipe Antonio “Tony” Martinez, 47; Derek Kinnison, 39; and Ronald Mele, 51. Warner is the only one alleged to have entered the building.

The indictment says the group mapped out their DC trip, with the intent to “fight” and satisfy then-President Trump’s call to push back against the election results in Joe Biden’s favor, per ABC News. Some of the defendants sported tactical gear, the indictment adds, while at least one carried a knife while grappling with police in front of the Capitol. The top two defendants—Hostetter, an ex-cop turned yoga instructor, and Taylor, a well-off graphic designer—ran a group called the American Phoenix Project, “founded to fight the ‘fear-based tyranny’ of coronavirus-related restrictions,” the New York Times reports. The outlet adds that it’s not only the first time that any Three Percenters have been hit with conspiracy charges, but also the first time that charges have been brought against anyone involved with the planning of the event.

Trump said residents of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California may need engage in extra-legal violence against people perceived to be immigrants from south of the border.

Fifteen percent of Americans agree with the central false tenet of the QAnon conspiracy theory: that the government and other entities are controlled by Satan-worshipping pedophiles running a child sex trafficking ring, according to a new poll.

Among Republicans the survey, released Wednesday by the Public Religion Research Institute, found that 23 percent of respondents agreed with the statement that “the government, media and financial worlds in the U.S. are controlled by a group of Satan-worshipping pedophiles who run a global child sex trafficking operation.”

That number declines to 14 percent among independents and 8 percent among Democrats.

A QAnon adherent who claims she can time travel is whipping up her thousands of followers to carry out a plot to oust elected officials in the U.S. and replace them with QAnon followers, VICE News reports.

After months of building a network of groups in all 50 states, Terpsichore Maras-Lindeman promised her followers that “retribution” is coming for what she says was the stolen 2020 election. She also claims Donald Trump will be reinstated into office. 

While growing her subscriber base on Twitch, Maras-Lindeman, who streams under the name Tore Says, has raked in tens of thousands of dollars, even convincing her subscriber base to donate over $80,000, so she could buy a new Tesla.

“Maras-Lindeman is part of a growing ecosystem of grifters and hucksters who are leveraging the widespread belief that Trump’s election loss was somehow orchestrated by shadowy figures and companies tied to the Democrats,” VICE News reports. “This so-called ‘Big Lie’ has taken hold within the mainstream Republican Party, and fringe figures like Maras-Lindeman have succeeded in carving out a niche that’s proving to be highly lucrative.”

Vice, reporter David Gilbert analyzed how the “grifter influencers” at the top of the QAnon conspiracy theory movement are scrambling as a new wave of anti-Semitism hijacks their movement.

QAnon, the pro-Trump movement that has claimed the former president is fighting a cabal of Satanic child-eating pedophiles that control the United States, has always borrowed from anti-Semitic tropes of blood libel. But, Gilbert writes, things have reached a new stage, with one specific account leading the charge.

“There is a war brewing within the QAnon community,” wrote GIlbert. “One one side you have an upstart anonymous account called GhostEzra who has amassed a massive following in the space of a few months by spreading wild claims about President Joe Biden being a fake played by Hollywood star James Woods in a mask. In recent weeks, the account has become more and more extreme, spreading Holocaust denial and neo-Nazi content.”

Donald Trump on Saturday pushed Republicans to support candidates who are loyal to him in next year’s midterm elections as the former president launched a new more active phase of his post presidency. Trump, 74, teased the prospect of another presidential bid of his own in 2024, but vowed first to be an active presence on the campaign trail for those who share his values in next year’s fight for control of Congress. “The survival of America depends on our ability to elect Republicans at every level starting with the midterms next year,” Trump charged early in what the AP describes as a rambling speech that spanned nearly an hour and a half. Standout details:

  • Trump’s speech to an estimated 1,200 Republican officials, activists, and supporters gathered for the North Carolina GOP convention in Greenville was the opening appearance in what is expected to be a new phase of rallies and public events. His advisers are already eyeing subsequent appearances in Ohio, Florida, Alabama, and Georgia to help bolster midterm candidates and energize voters.
  • Invited to the stage briefly during his remarks, Trump daughter-in-law and North Carolina native Lara Trump announced she would not run for the Senate because of family obligations. “I am saying no for now, not no forever,” Lara Trump said.
  • Minutes later, Trump announced his endorsement of loyalist Rep. Ted Budd in the crowded Republican primary, adding a slap at former Gov. Pat McCrory, who has been critical of Trump’s falsehoods about the 2020 election. “You can’t pick people who have already lost two races and do not stand for our values,” Trump said. McCrory served as the North Carolina governor from 2013 to 2017, but lost elections before and after his term.
  • Trump focused his early remarks on President Biden, referring to “the most radical left-wing administration in history. … As we gather tonight our country is being destroyed before our very eyes.” The former president waited more than an hour to reference the 2020 election, which he described as “the crime of the century.”
  • The Guardian reports he also went after Anthony Fauci, whom he called “not a great doctor but a great promoter. … He’s been wrong on almost every issue and he was wrong on Wuhan and the lab also,” Trump said.
  • The Hill reports Trump zeroed in on China, its pandemic role, and what he believes it owes us. “The time has come for America and the world to demand reparations and accountability,” he said. “China must pay, they must pay.” More specifically, he believes the world should give China a bill for a minimum of $10 trillion. “The damage is far, far greater than that,” Trump said. “As a first step, all countries should collectively cancel any debt they owe to China as a down payment on reparations.”

The lies and bullsh*t has begun again.

All in all it was an hour and a half of hate and lies…..and the peasants rejoiced.

There’s an old internet adage that says the longer a political discussion continues, the greater the probability that someone will compare something to Nazi Germany. In a speech on Thursday night, however, Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene didn’t take long to both denounce such comparisons – and then make one herself.

At a stop in Dalton, Georgia on her and Rep Matt Gaetz’s “America First” speaking tour, the combative congresswoman complained that Democrats “spent four years… calling Republicans Nazis.”

“That’s a mean, nasty, dirty word,” she said. “And what did they call President Trump? Hitler, that’s right! That’s one of the most evil men to ever walk this earth, but that’s what they called our president.”

Moments later, Ms Greene was using that “mean, nasty, dirty word” to describe Democrats.

“You know, Nazis were the National Socialist Party, just like the Democrats are now a national socialist party,” the Georgia Republican said.

It was not Ms Greene’s first Nazi comparison this month. Last week, she drew widespread condemnation for comparing masks to the yellow stars Jews were forced to wear in Nazi Germany.

Maybe if you’re just a little less patriotic, maybe if you just conform to their way of thinking a little more, then you’ll be allowed to participate in the digital world,” Gaetz told the crowd. “Well, you know what? Silicon Valley can’t cancel this movement, or this rally, or this congressman. We have a Second Amendment in this country, and I think we have an obligation to use it.” He then went on to define the Second Amendment as giving citizens “the ability to maintain an armed rebellion against the government of the United States, if that becomes necessary.”

Avowed QAnon disciple and confessed felon retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn has called for a Myanmar-like military coup in America.

“It should happen,” Donald Trump’s former national security adviser said in an astonishing declaration at a QAnon conference Sunday.

Flynn presented his dark vision of a military coup and dictatorship in the U.S. in response to a question from the audience at the conference.

“I wanna know why what happened in Myanmar can’t happen here?” an unidentified member of the audience asked Flynn, though he pronounced the nation as “Minnimar.”

“No reason,” Flynn responded to wild screams of approval. “It should happen.”

A man who identified himself as a Marine asked “why what happened in Myanmar can’t happen here,” per the Hill. When the cheers subsided, Flynn responded, “No reason. I mean, it should happen here,” to more cheers. That’s also the transcription from a number of outlets, including CNN and the Washington Examiner.

In the same post, he added, “For all the fake news ‘journalists’: Let me be VERY CLEAR—There is NO reason whatsoever for any coup in America, and I do not and have not at any time called for any action of that sort.”
