Out of the political mists comes the monster known only as Donzilla.
I admit it I am a big fan of the Godzilla movies, all of them, and I was a bit amused when I read an article comparing Godzilla to the rise of Donny.
I post it here for your reading enjoyment….

I found the article fascinating….how about you guys?
I am amused.
I Read, I Write, You Know

I’m a serious Godzilla fan – the Showa series by Toho Studios, of course, not the crappy American ones. The Japanese didn’t portray Godzilla as simply a mindless beast hellbent on destruction. “He” (actually, Godzilla’s gender is a little ambiguous!) had a definite personality and had very good reasons for its anger towards humanity (e.g. their reckless use of nuclear weapons). So, I don’t think the analogy to Trump is apropos. Godzilla wasn’t a megalomaniac.
From “Godzilla” by Blue Öyster Cult:
With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound
He pulls the spitting high tension wires down
Helpless people on a subway train
Scream bug-eyed as he looks in on them
He picks up a bus and he throws it back down
As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town
Oh no, they say, he’s got to go
Go go Godzilla, yeah
Oh no, there goes Tokyo
Go go Godzilla, yeah
Oh no, they say he’s got to go
Go go Godzilla, yeah
Oh no, there goes Tokyo
Go go Godzilla, yeah
The whole baby Godzilla was a bit much for me…..Donny is just as destruction….he has a mind but few can find it. chuq
“….he has a mind but few can find it.” – LOL!
I do have my moments….LOL chuq
That’s a strange comparison, but I get the idea. Creating a destructive monster by carelessness and neglect is more or less what happened to the US with Trump. (I think the early Japanese Godzilla monster films are SO much better than the modern Hollywood versions)
Best wishes, Pete.
I like the Japanese ones as well….but I have to watch the Hollywood version as well….just love the monster. chuq
Totally agree with your second sentence, Pete!
