This is a post I wrote 10 years ago about the coming of Donny into our lives.
A decade ago my granddaughter and I spent a lot of time together and I introduced her to my world of books and thought….none of which she uses much now that she has grown up and got her own values and desires.
Swiss political thinker Rousseau predicted the rise of Donny, well not by name but rather by personality….
It is a real shame that we cannot look to our past and see the problems that we are making for our future.
What once was old is new again….and that can be said for a lot of things these days.

There is always something to be learned from history. One of the main things being that some countries rarely bother to learn anything from history and keep repeating the same mistakes.
