It has been a week of Donny foibles (god I love that word)….this week was full of stories that involved Mitch McConnell and his proof of life, Iranian assassination plot (to be determined later),  those stories have been covered ad nauseam……

Let’s look at some of the other tidbits of silliness…..and start with Donny response to the assassination drama…..

President Trump says if Iran ever manages to kill him, the response has already been scripted, and it’s an aggressive one. Speaking to the New York Post on Friday, the president said he has “left instructions” for the US to unleash bombing on Iran “at levels that they’ve never seen before” if an assassination plot against him succeeds. He described himself as Iran’s top target, saying he’s been “No. 1” on its list “for a long time,” and added, “I hope you’ll miss me.”

We all remember than stupidity with the pool algae…..well Donny had a theory….

President Donald Trump declared victory over “criminally made algae” as he distracted himself from other crises by immersing himself in his renovation projects.

The 80-year-old president launched into a 594-word rant about his botched Reflecting Pool renovations on Truth Social on Sunday, claiming the pool had suffered “great damage from Criminal, Radical Left Vandals,” and saying he would drain it again after July 4 to “treat the damage caused by these ‘animals.’”

Donny spins another yarn of bullshit…..

On July 8, a reporter on Air Force One asked Trump what lessons could be learned from a March working paper by Federal Reserve economists about the impacts of unauthorized immigration on U.S. labor and housing.

The president responded, “What’s happening is housing costs are going down because — and rental costs are going down — because we’re getting so many illegals out of the country. But Joe Biden raised the cost of housing by 40 and 50% — the cost of (a) rental — because they were housing illegal aliens in all of those empty units.”

But that’s not what the paper says. It attributed 4.3 percentage points of the 22.6% overall increase in rental housing prices to unauthorized immigration from 2021 to 2024, which was during Biden’s tenure.

By taking equity stakes in more than a dozen private businesses, the Trump administration has stretched executive power to new heights—and now Congress is working to ensure that future presidents get the same opportunity.

The Senate’s version of the 2027 National Defense Authorization Act includes a provision to create a new slush fund within the U.S. Treasury for the purpose of buying stakes in more private businesses. The Pentagon would be able to tap the proposed Defense Equity Investment Account to make investments of up to $500 million in private companies involved in the production of “critical minerals, materials, and chemicals” or batteries.

The provision, which is buried within the 1,500-word bill drafted this week by the Senate Armed Services Committee, would allow the “direct or indirect purchase, acquisition, or commitment of funds by the Department of Defense in exchange for an ownership interest, convertible interest, warrant, revenue-sharing instrument, or other similar financial instrument in a non-Federal entity.”

Department of Transportation hates ‘bike lanes’…..

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced Tuesday that his department would redirect $1.73 billion in Biden-era grants away from establishing “DEI bike lanes” to build roads and bridges instead.

The Daily Wire pointed to former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s claim that a series of 2021 grants funding bike lanes would serve to “improve infrastructure, strengthen supply chains, make us safer, advance equity, and combat climate change.”

Upon hearing “equity,” President Donald Trump’s goons can’t help but get triggered into attacking any federal spending that won’t benefit them directly. In reality, those Biden-era grants directed funds to build a new transit center in North Carolina, replace bridges in New Mexico, extend streets in New Hampshire, install traffic lights and crosswalks in Missouri, and install bike lanes in Seattle, among other projects. Now the financial status of these projects is unclear.

The Republican gubernatorial candidate who claimed to have killed people as a child won his primary, according to the Denver Post.

Victor Marx, whom veteran journalist Kyle Clark once described as a “cross between Rambo and Billy Graham,” won the GOP primary for Colorado’s gubernatorial race after a close race against state Sen. Barbara Kirkmeyer, who was briefly in the lead.

During an interview with Clark, Marx claimed that his stepfather had him kill a man, that he called in an airstrike as a civilian that killed 70 ISIS fighters, and that he killed others as a “high-risk missionary,” as he’s described his role. When Clark pressed him to reveal how many people he had killed, Marx retorted, “Does it matter?” which was widely mocked.

Then there is Donny’s poop story….

President Donald Trump has arrived in Ankara for the NATO Leaders Summit, but one of the biggest talking points has nothing to do with diplomacy.

According to reports, every time Trump uses the bathroom during the trip, his waste will not be left behind in Turkey. Instead, it will reportedly be collected using his personal toilet system and transported back to the United States under Secret Service supervision. The claim has been widely reported by Turkish outlet Turkiye Today and has also been repeated by other outlets covering the visit.

While it might sound bizarre, the reported practice is said to be part of a long-standing presidential security protocol designed to stop foreign intelligence agencies from gaining access to the US president’s biological material.

The reported policy exists to prevent anyone from analyzing the president’s biological waste for intelligence purposes. Stool samples can potentially reveal details about a person’s health, which is why presidential security teams are said to treat them as sensitive material. According to reports, Trump’s waste will be collected and flown back to the US rather than entering a foreign sewage system.
