19 And Counting

This is a look back at the journey this blog has taken (sorta a tradition every year)….

My blogging journey began in 2006….in 2005 I was working to rehab a house that Katrina had damaged when part of it collapsed and broke my leg in 3 places….after a year of 2 surgeries and rehab I was bored with not being as mobile as I once was so I decided to start a blog since I was doing a lot of research on-line it seemed like a good idea.

So 19 years ago I started my blog (on another platform) it was entitled Studies and Observations…..this was my first post announcing me to the blogosphere…

INTRODUCTION

Thus I began my journey…..

After some months I was not happy with the platform I was on so I started looking for an alternative and finally settled on WordPress and had my previous posts imported to my new site which was entitle Info Ink….after awhile I lost interests in the Title so after a bit of tweaking I decided on In Saner Thought.

Early in my blogging journey trying to find a ‘hook’ that would get people to visit and hopefully comment I tried a semi-humorous post which has become my top visit….

Watermelon Makes You Horny

Thus began my journey in making new friends and dealing out my brand of analysis.

And my friends this is how this all began for me and it has been a journey that is well worth the aggravations that pop up once in awhile.

I want to thank all those visitors and commenters that have stuck with me over the years for it has been a wonderful ride and I would not change a thing.

Thank you!

Here’s to another 19 years.

Peace Out.

Note:  This will be my only post today for now I must return my house to some form of normal after a month of holiday, cooking, visitors and family…I hope everyone has a great day.

  1. Congratulations on 19 years! This summer, I celebrated 13 years of blogging on WordPress, after my first ever post in 2012. I took the advice of a friend to start a blog the year I retired and moved away from London. One of the best decisions I ever made.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. Well, you have me beat. My first blog post was on October 13, 2008. The topic was “Abortion and the Impaired Fetus.” And, IMO, even to this day it’s still a very important topic. I wrote two more on that same day … one of them being about Sarah Palin becoming president (!).

Like you, I plan to continue as long as my mental and/or physical capacities allow me to do so.
