Let’s have some fun shall we…..what is life without a little whimsey?
Some call the terrorist organization ISIS for Islamic State In Iraq and Syria……the prez and his boyz want to use ISIL…..and the ‘bad guys’ want to be called IS, the Islamic State…….me? I call them DA’ISH. That is the acronym for their name in Arabic……al-Dawla al-Islamiya fi Iraq wa al-Sham, but only when I am corresponding with friends in the region. For me ISIS works.
If the organization was not such an evil and brutal group it would be almost funny at the acronym problem….we Americans love our acronyms……..but why the massive confusion?
You’ve likely seen different names thrown around this summer in reference to the group that beheaded twoAmerican journalists and wreaked havoc in the Middle East. But which is the right one? Jonah Blank, formerly of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, tells NPR‘s Steve Inskeep that the Islamic State, the name favored by the group itself, isn’t it. “They’re claiming to represent all Muslims everywhere—they have declared the establishment of a new caliphate,” he says. “So if they are to actually own this term, that’ll be a huge propaganda victory for them.” Plus, the “Islamic State” name gives members the impression that they’re not terrorists but “freedom fighters,” fighting for something that “has a real meaning” to Muslims, Blank says.
Some women who are named “Isis” aren’t big fans of “ISIS,” the short form for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, either, CNBC reports. Plus, that version of the name also spouts confusion. Syria is a direct translation of the term “al-Sham” within the group’s Arabic name. However, that term actually means “Greater Syria,” or “Syria, Lebanon, parts of Turkey, parts of what are now Jordan,” Blank says. A little confusing, no? “The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant” is less so, since the Levant is another name for the large region, Blank says, which is probably why President Obama favored “ISIL” in his prime-time address this week. However, as the region’s borders have shifted over the years—once including Israel and Cyprus—that term, too, can be a bit hazy.
The Levant? What the Hell is that, right?
No matter what one decides to call this organization the fact is it does not matter……it is a brutal, bloodthirsty and evil entity…..which cannot go out of existence soon enough.
No reputable group will call it the Islamic State for that would give it some an air of respectability……few will acknowledge it as a true “state”.
In conclusion….call the pricks whatever you like……everyone has an idea who they are and what we will do to them….so it matters not what they are called.
I forgot to add…the prez uses ISIL because it means a wider larger area that includes Israel…..maybe he does not want to hurt their feelings by omitting them….

I believe he uses ISIL because he is part of the Muslim Brotherhood and that is the capstone to all of the Jihadist groups out there like ISIS, HAMAS, Boka Haram, et al. He had come on TV and stated that he had no plan to go against ISIS. Why would any POTUS say they had no plan against any terrorist group that is doing horrific acts?
Then he comes back on later and says he has a 40 country coalition to go against ISIL and he was making it clear that ISIL is not Muslim and they are barbaric in killing other Muslims and people of other faiths. He only called out Muslims and then grouped all the other faiths into one group. He was raised by Muslims, went to Muslim schools, he can call out the Muslim call to prayer, he can speak in the language of the Muslims, and he is FAR from being a Christian.
Cannot say what religion he is for sure….but Muslim is not close….too many things he does that are not Muslim……
Of course he does not know how to fight ISIS…..few do….they use terror it is a tactic not an ideology…..
When it comes to being Christian….I have not seen many who claim they are that act like Christians…..claiming to be a Christian does not make one a Christian…..It seems too many people want Obama to be a Muslim…..I worked in the Middle East…he is no Muslim.
He was greatly influenced by Muslims in his formative years, then he was greatly influenced by his Communist grandparents, then he was influenced by his professors, then people like Bill Ayers, Rev. (he is no Rev.) Jeremiah Wright, so he is completely messed up. He has stated that they observe ALL religious holidays so they celebrate Jewish ones, Christian ones, et al, which means he is not a Christian because Christians would not do that. I know what you mean about Christians that talk the talk but don’t walk the talk. I have seen too much of that myself. I can be considered that myself, though I truly try to walk the talk. (Well, roll the talk, being in a wheelchair). And now hearing that he is gay and Michelle is a man dressed in drag, and I have seen video footage of where s/he was caught in embarrassing (?) situations with the wind blowing and the dress being blown up against her genitals and she has male genitalia. I have seen repeated videos of this. He even made the mistake of referring to her as Michael in a speech! He said, Michael and I… so this man is messed up all the way around. Inside and out. And then someone from the FBI took a water glass of his and did a DNA test and found out that he is not even related to the woman that is supposedly his mother! YIKES! So who IS his mother? His half brother was on Hannity and talked about how Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. was so abusive. He had a white mother as well. There were 5 children in all. I doubt that Obama will ever know the truth about his life. That is sad. For that, I do feel sorry for him. I have a messed up family too – my family tree has one branch! LOL And I’m not from Kentucky! ROFLOL (Just kidding about Kentucky… don’t want to offend anyone!) People want to make him a Muslim because he is so damn sympathetic to the Muslims and no one else. He funds the HAMAS which is TREASON and we have no one who has the gonads to charge him with it! This is why people want to make him Muslim. I have seen him confirm his alliance to the Muslim Brotherhood with the President of Egypt in the WH and when he went to Egypt. This is why he won’t go after ISIS but differntiates ISIS and ISIL and the media doesn’t pick up on that. I have tried to get them to by sending them tweets and messages by FB but they don’t respond or listen. So what’s the point? He is going to do what he wants to do and I don’t think he wants to leave the lap of luxury he is in, Chuq. I think he wants to stay right where he is for as long as he can. He hasn’t done anything Presidential since he occupied office. He has taken vacations, gone fundraising, golfing, he says he gets the news like we do, on TV. OMG! Really? He refuses to listen to his advisors in every area. He’s like a little kid with their fingers in their ears singing LALALALALALA! And then going back on the course. I know I am being critical of the man. I respect the office, but I have no respect for the man that occupies it. I remember when he was elected Sen. for Illinois, the news saying, you are looking at the next president of the United States. I thought, what? He has no idea what he is doing, how can you say that? And yet, he became the next president.
Everything you have written sounds like something Alex jones would say…..Obama will make tons of cash after he leaves office…..and that is what these people go into politics for….the cash.
We fund the Kurds and their organization is on the terror list…it is all geopolitics.
I have no love for the prez either….but most of this stuff is made up by people that hate….and we can try to explain why they hate but that would be a waste of time…..
People seem to forget that the American people elected Obama….right or wrong….as far as listening to his advisers….Bush listened to his and look where we are today……
This is why there are NO statesmen left in politics…..the character assassination….it is a real shame for we need people that are not swayed by fame and their performance of the TV….the more whacky stuff they say the more they will be on the tube….that is NOT governing….that is self indulgent BS…..
In a couple of years he will be gone and we will have a new prez that we can pick apart and hate….just be patient…
