No problem with huge, scary spiders? Then check out this viral YouTube video of a friendly dog in a spider costume that apparently terrifies passersby, the Independent reports. Created by Polish prank-man Sylwester Wardega, the “dog-spider” wears a furry body with big legs that shake ominously as he trots around. SPOILER ALERT: Wardega’s nighttime setups include the giant spider “feeding” on his dead body in an elevator, and torn body parts hanging in a subway. Two women who discover the elevator scene run screaming, while the subway victim gets caught in ropes resembling a spider’s web.
“This is funny as hell,” says a YouTube viewer quoted in the Daily Mail. “My only hope is that the people … find out that [it] isn’t real. I mean, I’d be SCARRED for LIFE.” The film itself took months to prepare as Wardega worked with a seamstress on the “cheap faux fur” costume, he tells Today. After three versions, they “finally managed to create something light and good-looking.” So he outfitted Chica, his sister’s mixed-breed pooch, and set up the shots. “Filming took some time because Chica had to jump at the right moment and run to the right place.
