Why Do Right-Wing Christians Think ‘Religious Freedom’ Means Forcing Their Faith on You? | Alternet

Personally, I am sick and tired of all this ‘religious freedom’ crap!

It is more about running rough shod over peoples lives than some vague religious belief…..now corporations have the rights and humans do not……how much further are these twats going to go?

“Religious Freedom” has become a damn smoke screen for taking what few rights we Americans have away….they use this ‘religious persecution’ bullsh*t for all it is worth…..the truly sad part is they get away with it!

  1. They will go just as far as they can get which means getting to the point where their right-wing evangelical psuedo-religion will be the official state religion once they have taken permanent power and established their plotocratic oligarch as supreme leader and when that happens all who refuse to bow down to their idols will be exiled or killed just like in the days of the Old Testament.

    1. You know sounds a lot like what the Muslims of ISIS are trying to do, huh? They are so afraid of Sharia law but yet want to impose their law on me….where’s the difference?

Thanx for the reblog….as always I appreciate it…..chuq

      1. There is no difference . . . Mosaic Law and Shariah Law are so patently similar it is frightening – – right down to the public stoning of errant wives and children.

    1. As always John doesn’t know what he’s talking (writing in this case) about. Pinpoint oh, lets say within the past 200-300 years when the last stoning of a woman or child happened under “Mosiac Law,” or under Christianity. The genuine thing is you’re persecuting Christianity with your hate filled articles and insane off the wall comments. You’re the ones who are really no different than the Sharia Law freaks … you just don’t have the physical stones to throw.
The writer over at Alternet couldn’t find himself/herself (who knows for sure?) in a mirror.

      1. Poor ignorant-assed Liberal John – – a totally uninformed and unaware pile of Liberal ass! He never knows what he is talking about – – never! The Righties are always 100% correct in everything they say, think and do and the dumb-assed Liberals like John don’t know enough to find themselves in a mirror. We all know all that stuff already.

We are not persecuting Christianity. The pretenders who have rewritten the faith to suit their own misconceptions and comfort zones are the ones who are persecuting Christianity. The garbage some of them spout with their twisted scriptures doesn’t even remotely resemble Christianity. This is not something that I came up with out of my pile of ass mind – – this is something that most of mainstream Christianity would agree with.

Given the change I am sure that some of the more radical of the right wads would certainly come up with some system of religious law that would make SDhariah look like a picnic in a candy-cane amusement park on a warm summer afternoon.

I stand totally humbled and chastised by someone who is far greater than I.

      2. And instead of feeling sorry for yourself brother John and/or Chuq … I’m waiting for the answer as to how the Mosaic Law and Shraria Law is the same. It’s typical left-wing bullshit. Never answer … just a play in idiocy. And this “far greater than I” is so juvenile. Go wipe the snot out of your nose and get back to my original question.

      3. You made the comparison…all i said is that forcing one’s religious beliefs on others is in the same mode….but if you want to put words in my mouth…..I am use to it….

  2. Welcome to fascist America. Remember the quote often attributed to Sinclair Lewis, “When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.” We have now crossed the Rubican. Individual freedoms that were guaranteed to “We the People” are now given to fictitious entities over the rights of the individual. This Supreme Court has been on the march since Roberts became the Chief Justice to elevate the corporation over the individual. It takes a very twisted mind to think that a corporation has religious freedom that trumps an individuals right to choose for themselves. Mitt Romney told us all during the last election what these people truly believe, “corporations are people too.” And the court has just told us today that “corporate people” are more powerful than “people people.”

  3. I made the comparison???
“There is no difference . . . Mosaic Law and Shariah Law are so patently similar it is frightening – – right down to the public stoning of errant wives and children.”
    I trow not.

    1. we can go back and forth and stoning is horrendous…my point is ANY, i repeat ANY forced religious attitudes is not acceptable to….if you like it it is your thing….but me I do not want anyone telling me what my religious beliefs should be. Period.

      1. Dear Chuq:
If you are waiting for any “opposing views” from that side of the fence that make any sense, you are in for a long wait I am afraid. They want us to explain how Shariah Law and Christianity are similar when all they have to do is pick up the books and read it for themselves. But no, I don’t believe their goal is to say something that makes sense – – their goal is not to win arguments ( which few if any of them can ever possibly win . . . and the elections have proven it ) . . .Their main goal, I believe, is to try to make themselves look good – – to find some justification for themselves – – to gain a little traction – – to get a few minutes in the limelight – – to have somebody (anybody at all will do) agree with their diatribal BS – -to feel the power of being able to feel superior to someone else . . the thrill that comes from putting other people down and elevating the self – – the collective ego of that bunch is such that it goes far beyond reason . . . it goes into the nether regions of a world all unto itself and all wrapped up in a protective cocoon from which the dwellers there can peek out once in a while and scream at the world outside and then retreat again into their comfortable and convenient little fantasies. Don’t wait for “Opposing Views” because if any ever come they won’t be worth listening to anyway.

      2. i know….I was being sarcastic…I think it was reblogged to bring in more right views to this site…..which would be okay as long as they are not some d/bag looking to insult….
