Ever hit one of those plateaus? One that no matter what you read it is all too silly to comment? I have hit one! I have been reading more and more Right wing sites and have found that they have NOTHING new. So there is nothing for me to take exception to…..for now that is.
Since there is noting that warrants a separate post I will just rant a bit…..join in if you feel frisky.
1–I read a news headline that the Nigerian government has banned all get Our girls back….the report sez that the protests are interfering with negotiations with Boko Haram…..I understand the safety of these young ladies is paramount….but negotiations rally gonna stop this sort of thing from happening again?
2–I try to write about gun violence as to upset some of my right wing brethren…….and I usually ask what would be said it a bunch of left wing nuts showed up at some protest….would they stand behind their rights? So far I got NO answer to that.
3–there was a time, a while back, when I gave the Tea Party the benefit of the doubt….deep down I thought they truly had the best interests of the country at heart…….I have since changed my mind……I now think they are just contrary and the country means nothing to them as long as they can crap of everything being tried to solve problems.
4–the GOP has finally decided that the VA is an important issue…..they were petty much silent during the Walter reed issue……..they had little to say about all the problems at Arlington cemetery…….but now that there is a chance to embarrass the prez they are all hopped up on adrenalin……They become more pathetic as they speak……
5–and then there are those that think saying ‘thank you’ to a veteran is enough….it is NOT….all it is is a gesture of which I question the sincerity……if they really gave a shit then they would see that politicians that truly care are elected……a ‘thank you’…..is nothing but gesture.
The VA would not be an issue if two things happened: (A) The Right Wing would stop opposing and voting down every piece of legislation that comes along containing additional funding to keep the VA up, running, cutting edge and current and (B) The Right Wing War Mongers would stop inflating the patient rolls at the Medical Centers with thousands of more wounded and injured coming back from their seemingly never-ending propensities to send our troops into harms way so somebody can make a few million more dollars for the bottom line of the military/industrial complex that President Eisenhower warned about. I am a firm believer that there should be a law passed requiring every major oil company and every arms asnd munitions manufacturer operating in the Continental United States to provide at the very least a float for every Memorial Day Parade in this country.
i believe that i was Lincoln that said that the country owes and the vets deserve to be care for for they gave all ..
