Should America stop foreign aid to Israel? | Washington Times Communities

My regular readers know that I have a special interest in the Middle East having worked there in the past.  This article begins a point to the surface that I have written on several occasions….my answer is yes….at least until Israel shows that it truly wants a two state solution….the Pals need to also jump on that wagon….both sides need to show a real desire for peace and security.

There is a whole goddamn desert they can build those damn silly settlements in without destroying crops to make room for them……the world needs to pull their heads out of their collective assses and stand up to Israel….as it is they are cowardly….like they own them something….that debt has been PAID IN FULL!

The Saudis Are Pissed!

I thought my readers might be up to their eyes in this Obamacare debacle…….so my friends I offer up a few stories that may have fell through the cracks of the news media………

Here is a story for the ages……it seems that the Saudis are a bit pissed with the US for not doing what they wanted the US to do….bomb Syria……

Newser) – Following his country’s decision to reject a UN Security Council seat, Saudi Arabia’s intelligence chief is edging away from the US specifically: Prince Bandar bin Sultan al-Saud told European officials that his country will reduce its secret work with the CIA on training Syrian rebels, reports the Wall Street Journal. He also called the Security Council rejection “a message for the US, not the UN.” Saudi Arabia had wanted the US to bomb Syria, and its leaders haven’t been happy with the White House’s moves toward warmer relations with Iran President Hasan Rouhani.

The Saudis have had other frustrations. When they sought US Navy protection for Saudi oil during a potential attack on Syria, the US said it couldn’t promise full-scale defense; and the US never gave the Saudis a list of possible military targets in Syria, despite a Saudi request. “The Saudis are very upset. They don’t know where the Americans want to go,” a European official says. It’s not entirely clear whether the Saudi king supports the prince’s position, reports NBC News. Still, it quotes an anonymous source calling the Saudi shift away from the US a “major one.”

This is one of those things I bitch about a lot…..the rest of the world wants the US to do their dirty work for them.  Here is a thought…..we sell advanced weaponry and planes to the Saudis for their army and air force and yet they want us to do their work for them…….it is about time the US told these twats to go f*ck themselves…that if they have a problem with Syria to handle it themselves….how is that?

I am really over these semi literate twats wanting the US to do their bidding…time to change that and NOW is the perfect time!

You Gotta Read This!

The techno world is going bat shit crazy…….there is a new discovery almost daily……and some of it sounds like scifi….but NOPE…it be real!

I told my daughter years ago that if she wanted to ever invest to look at the nano-tech companies….I do believe that it is the future and best get on the ground floor……..this is a great story….

(Newser) – A team of Stanford scientists has built a working computer out of carbon nanotubes, a nigh-impossible feat that could herald silicon’s eventual replacement. Granted, the device (which is named “Cedric,” the BBC notes) isn’t terribly useful, containing as many transistors as the earliest 1950s computers. But it can run a basic OS, perform calculations, and switch between processes. “It really is a computer in every sense of the word,” the project’s lead electrical engineer tells the Wall Street Journal .

Carbon nanotubes are rolled out of sheets of pure carbon that are one atom thick. A bundle of 10,000 would be about the width of a human hair. They’re extremely promising conductors, but must be grown like crystals, and tend to develop impurities. “People said you would never be able to manufacture this stuff,” one Stanford engineer says. The results could extend the theoretical limits of Moore’s Law (up to a point anyway), because the nanotubes have the potential to be vastly superior to silicon, CNET observes.

Technology is getting smaller and smaller and this will be a boon to that downsizing…….

Killer Clown

The weekend time for mind cleansing useless information……

The truth is I get all weirded out by clowns…..I just find them creepy and all I see is a pedophile in camo……but killer clowns….now there was a movie I could have killed without….Killer Clowns From Outer Space…..a very bad B scifi movie…..now there were some creepy clowns!

But I story I read a week ago got my funny bone stimulated……

(Newser) – It’s an ignoble ending for one of Mexico’s most notorious cartel chiefs: Francisco Rafael Arellano Felix was shot dead in Cabo San Lucas on Friday, and as a spokesman for state prosecutors tells Reuters, “A person dressed as a clown took his life.” The costume actually makes sense, because Arellano Felix, who once headed up the ruthless Tijuana Cartel, was attending a child’s birthday party. He was shot point-blank “by two bullets, one in the thorax and one in the head.” Media including the New York Post are reporting that the gunman had two accomplices, but officials have yet to confirm that.

Arellano Felix was the oldest of seven brothers who ran the Tijuana Cartel and inspired characters in Steven Soderbergh’s Traffic. Three brothers are serving time in the US, while a fourth was killed in a 2002 gun fight with police. Arellano Felix himself served 15 years, but had been free since 2008.

My point has been proven!  Any thoughts?

What About That Darn Tea Party?

In these days of high adventurism in the Congress we have a problem brewing…well I think it could be a problem….The Tea Party.

I understand the rationale behind the party and I can understand where they are coming from but I cannot see how they can stay within the GOP.  The feeling is that the TP could hurt the GOP in every landing a national government again….that it keeps the party split and with that split unlikely to win an election.

I was recently talkjing to a moderate Repub friend and he felt the only way for the party to survive was for the TP to split off and try it on their own…..he told me about an article that was written by a former speech writer of GW…….

(Newser) – Former Bush I speechwriter David Frum has a few words for Tea Party politicians who might be considering a split from the GOP to form a third party: Good riddance. Such a split might be the only hope for the party’s long-term chances, writes Frum at CNN. Tea Party backers, for instance, would rather keep the government shut down and allow the government to default rather than give even an inch to Democrats and the White House. It’s all principle and no pragmatism.

Tea Party “extremism contaminates the whole Republican brand,” writes Frum. “It’s a very interesting question whether a (Tea Party) bolt from the GOP might not just liberate the party to slide back to the political center—and liberate Republicans from identification with the Sarah Palins and the Ted Cruzes who have done so much harm to their hopes over the past three election cycles.” On that note, Frum counts at least six Democratic Senate seats that should be in the GOP ledger. So for Tea Party pols threatening to bolt if the GOP compromises, Frum counters, “Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.” Click for his full column.

There are many true conservs that feel this way….the more the TP gains the more they see any hope of winning a national election…..I feel for them….I had that same feeling many years ago…..it is a sucky feeling.

Mississippi’s Invisible Senator

What a deal….I get to do two post on my state of Mississippi…..which is great for not much happens in this state other than the usual budget cutting and services curtailment……

We have had a senator for as long as most of us can remember named Thad Cochran…….. (pause here for reflection)……..everybody has heard of Trent Lott but who the Hell has ever heard of Cochran?  My point exactly….not many.

From talkingpointsmemo.com……..

Mississippi State Sen. Chris McDaniel (R) jumped into the Senate race for Sen. Thad Cochran’s (R-MS) seat on Thursday and was immediately endorsed by two prominent conservative organizations.

McDaniel had been floating a primary challenge to either Cochran or Rep. Steven Palazzo (R-MS) prior to his announcement.

Tea Party groups in the state support McDaniel and within minutes the Senate Conservatives Fund, Club for Growth, and Madison Project offered their endorsements.

“Chris McDaniel is a constitutional conservative who will fight to stop Obamacare, balance the budget, and get America working again,” Senate Conservatives Fund Executive Director Matt Hoskins said in a statement . “Chris McDaniel is not part of the Washington establishment and he has the courage to stand up to the big spenders in both parties. He’s a principled leader who will make Mississippi proud.”

I find it incredible that he was planning to go after Palazzo who was the Tea Party fav in his race against Gene Taylor….Taylor, a Democrat, a blue dog had a 99% rating for voting in favor of the middle class…he was pro-gun, pro-life, pro seniors, everything the retirees in the area could want….but because he was a Dem he was booted out of office in favor of a Tea Party candidate……and now that candidate has not preformed to their liking and he could get a challenger…….

As far as Cochran goes…he will most likely bow out because he has lost the extreme right confidence and Mississippi could have the next Ted Cruz in the making….joy, joy……..
