Most Likely To Implode

The antics in the past week and the antics to come should have some adverse effects, you would think…….all the vitriol should have some type of blowback….at least you would think……sports fans….it does……

America is sick of the Republican Party. Just 24% of the public has a positive view of the GOP, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll reveals. That’s the lowest in the history of the poll, which dates back to 1989. The Tea Party movement is even worse off at 21%. By contrast, 39% view Democrats favorably, about as many as view them unfavorably. The government shutdown just might be playing a role here—the GOP is taking more blame for it than President Obama by a 22-point margin (53% to 31%). At this point, 47% said they’d like to see Democrats take control of the House in 2014, compared to 39% for Republicans—a 5-point improvement for Democrats over last month. Of course, as the Hill points out, what the public really wants is a clean slate; 60% said they would replace every single member of Congress if they could.

I have heard people that dhow sympathy for the Tea Party say that all this will just make the US a better place….will it?

I think the only thing that it may accomplish is making the Dems a dominate party for the next decade…..without changing their tactics the GOP is a LOSER!

The only way they can make up the ground they have lost thanx to the TPers is for Obama and the Dems to have a major set back……I do not see that happening right now.  I am not saying that things will change for the GOP only that they need to find common ground with the voter…..something they do not seem to care about…..it seems like the country means NOTHING to them.

God-forbid that change only comes about for morons when their adversaries make a misstep. Real change should only occur when critically thinking people start behaving like grown ups and address issues in a way that benefit us all, even if that means giving everyone free health care coverage and subsidies to generate new innovative business ventures.

The GOP has created their own dilemma. They need the backward thinking TeaParty types in the primaries to get elected but are hurt by them in the general elections

    1. Larry, take a look at the poll…..to me it appears that Congress is no where near the same thinking as the majority….thus the minority has the power….and that has to change before anything else can….

      1. Oh I don’t disagree with your premise Dr. Chuq. I am in fact saddened at the prospect that it holds more true than not.

    2. Your application for “critical thinking people” is highly inaccurate when you attempt to funnel the “thinking” into what you think it should be.

      1. The only inaccuracy I have found is the games being played by Congress and most specially the Tea Party, as they want to call themselves……there is nothing to be gained by working to destroy the country……I may be a “leftist” but my concern is for the people and their way of life not what I would do as a leader…that cannot be said with any accuracy by the likes of Cruz, his is all ego not the nation…..oh there are a bunch of little ego freaks in the Dems also….I will not give them a free ride either…

      2. C&H, it was a bit hectic but that is pretty normal….I am waiting for some cool weather and then I can say it was better. BTW, there has been some confusion about where my political loyalties lie and I want to clear it up so I will be writing a post later to explain how I got to where I am today hope you will check in for it….as always nice to hear from you…..
