Actually, if you believe the government numbers, CNN is reporting that 2012 was only the 10th warmest since 1880.
Several scientists not paid by our government have found that the tempature of the Earth was much hotter 2,000 years ago and we have been cooling ever since:
“Their findings demonstrate that this trend involves a cooling of -0.3°C per millennium due to gradual changes to the position of the sun and an increase in the distance between the Earth and the sun.
FL, I covered this in the past…….when I see a report or study I check to see who is paying for it…..then I do not trust any study that a corporation funds…..I am old and will just wait it out……when we see who is right it may be too late to do anything but whine…….
For some perspective, their records go all the way back to 1879. They use 1879 because that is when the thermometer was widely used. This was also the end of the Little Ice Age. Not a very good starting point

NASN, NOAA claim 2012 was the 10th warmest year on record, not the “warmest by far”.
