Okay we hear all the time about some guy that is doing his daughter after school before Mom gets home from work….or some Mom that is boiking her son and his friends while Dad sells shoes….and according to our beliefs, both moral and religious, it is a crime and should be punished harshly….right?
I recently got a tweet from Newser…..
The Swiss parliament has drafted a law that would allow parents to have sex with their children or siblings to have sex with each other, provided everybody involved is a consenting adult. “First-degree” incest is already legal in countries including France and Russia, but the Swiss measure hasn’t won widespread support, with conservative lawmakers labeling it “completely repugnant,” and polls showing a clear majority of the public in opposition.
A lawyer for David Epstein, the Columbia University professor accused of having an incestuous relationship with his adult daughter, says that while people are right to be morally opposed to incest, the Swiss bill to tolerate “what goes on privately in bedrooms” has merit. “It’s OK for homosexuals to do whatever they want in their own home,” he tells ABC News. “How is this so different? We have to figure out why some behavior is tolerated and some is not.”
I would like to hear from those that have a valid opinion on this matter…….Should a family be allowed to lay together?
I’m afraid that my view is that it’s only sex anyway and, provided everyone involved is truly adult, consenting and there is no coercion, why should other people care? It’s simply none of their f*cking business (pun partially intentional).
At first thought, it is just icky…..but if one takes the time to actually think about the subject…..then I would have to agree with Quin….I am always bitching about government in the bedroom and this would be one of those issues….as long as it is adults consenting and no illegality then it is none of my business…..
Yes, exactly. Many, many people don’t even LIKE their siblings, children, parents etc., so it’s very unusual for close relatives to get on THAT well.
Like you say though, it’s none of our business really – it USED once to be the fear that any resultant children were at increased risk of being disabled. These days there’s NO need at all for preganancy to result from responsible sex, so what’s the problem?
The idea doesn’t appeal to me personally, though. But that’s because I disliked my mother and my kids drive me nuts and pretty much always have – I love ’em, but I don’t like them very much 😆
Most people see this as some religious or moral thingy…….no matter what they feel of the government intervention thing……but you can have it one way or the other…….all in or all out….
Exactly!
