Here Comes The “Fear” Card (Again)

Once again the RNC will use the “fear” card as a draw for fund raising….they were outed by a dummie that left the material behind in a hotel room and it came into the hands of Politico…….

The Republican National Committee plans to raise money this election cycle through an aggressive campaign capitalizing on “fear” of President Barack Obama and a promise to “save the country from trending toward socialism.”

The strategy was detailed in a confidential party fundraising presentation, obtained by POLITICO, which also outlines how “ego-driven” wealthy donors can be tapped with offers of access and “tchochkes.”

The presentation was delivered by RNC Finance Director Rob Bickhart to top donors and fundraisers at a party retreat in Boca Grande, Florida on February 18, a source at the gathering said.

In neat PowerPoint pages, it lifts the curtain on the often-cynical terms of political marketing, displaying an air of disdain for the party’s donors that is usually confined to the barroom conversations of political operatives.

The presentation explains the Republican fundraising in simple terms.

Once again the RNC and those who buy into this form of propaganda are NOT working in the best interests of the country….yes, Bush was a caricature many times….that does not make it right and I do not seem to recall those same caricatures used as a fund raising tool……this is just wrong on so many levels…and of course, no one contacted in the RNC knew anything about this smear campaign…..

It is a childish attempt to scare the living Hell outta the base……but maybe that type of immaturity plays well with conservatives…..after all they do HATE intellectuals or anyone with half a brain….

  1. Of course, but then if a climate of fear hadn’t been created by politicians of all parties (same fear, different reasons) then we wouldn’t have voted for any of them in the first place, let alone allowed them to get away with almost anything they do.

Whether it is fear of the unknown, fear of terrorism, fear of attack, fear of debt, fear of losing employment, or even fear of simply being alone – fear is the key to controlling the populace, isn’t it?

    1. Yes it is and the GOP is a master of using it….my most concern is that there has become a serious lack of respect for the office of the president…I do not care what they believe or what party they belong to….there is a need for some respect….

      1. That is the saddest and most serious fact of all… all these assholes have reduced the offices of the administration and the presidency to nothing more than a despicable absurdity that is utterly disrespected.

It’s the same in the UK. The question is – what the hell are we all going to do now? The police, the local authorities, the courts system, the central government and the presidency all complain that the public do not respect them – but respect is EARNED and, once lost, it can be near to impossible to regain.

      2. I agree with you completely….respect is earned…..the problem is that now , at least in the US, it is complete hatred for one and and the other…..back in the day there was fiery debate then at the end they went and had a drink…there was a mutual respect but that is lacking now…ideology has changed everything for the worse….

  2. Regardless of your political stance you should always try to appreciate the humor and message of political cartoons

  3. When the US Supreme (idiot) Court overturned campaign finance laws which will allow corporations and foreign governments to essentially buy US elections, I decided it’s time for me to give up on voting, except at my local level. I’m done. What’s the point now?

    1. Welcome to the conversation…..I feel your pain……it is time for the American people to take back the government from special interests……
