Subject: Political Theory
Once again there are those that are using the term “socialist or socialism” when they refer to the Prez….but again there needs to be a correction in their thinking (if there is such a thing). Personally, I am a bit weary of the analogy…..it would possibly a little more palatable if any truth were with in it…..but sadly, these a demented little toads that are doing NOTHING, but lying to the sheep that listen….sad indictment on the flock…..
This time it is a return visit from Rep. Bachmann of Minnesota:
“This is their intention from the start, Sean,” Bachmann answered. “This is cradle-to-grave governmentt takeover of the Pelosi health care nightmare known as this bill.”
Bachmann also called the bill a “horror picture show,” “the crown jewel of socialism,” “socialized medicine” and “unconstitutional.”
First of all, we should not allow morons to run for Congress, especially those that have NO idea about political philosophy, especially just what the hell socialism is…..I have tried several times to educate the idiots out there that keep using the socialism analogy….but so far they are NOT listening…..
Here we go…the Crown Jewel Of Socialism…is LABOR….beyond that…..socialist at the turn of the 20th century in the fledgling labor movement gave us today some of the issues that we take for granted…8 hour day, overtime pay, 5 day work week, minimum wage, paid holidays and laws against child labor…just to mention a few and I do not see anyone bitching about these things….
Sorry I digress…..if you want the truth and if health care was the crown jewel of socialism, then the Dems would be fighting harder for universal, single payer….but instead they seem to have forgotten that…..
NOTHING and I repeat for those with the IQ of their shoe size….NOTHING about the proposed health reform bills that smack of socialism….could we please move pass the bullsh!t?
The more I hear these so-called politicians bump their gums I am reminded of something Plato said, “The penalty good men pay for not being interested in politics is to be governed by men worse than themselves”.
Hmmm… I’d have said Obama in some things is something of a socialist, but only in some areas and even then, we are talking about the very dilute American form.
However, the principle of socialism is that everyone works and everyone shares in what there is as a result. I don’t see America EVER going that route in my lifetime – do you?
Nevertheless, there are SOME elements of that in of SOME of the proposals that have been put forward by SOME of the people involved in this.
It seems to me that what those most opposed to the healthcare reform really mean to say is that THEY don’t want to pay for OTHER PEOPLE’S healthcare (or any other services). Whilst this seems to me to be rather selfish, it is a perfectly valid point of view and doesn’t seem at all unreasonable to me. If that’s what they feel, then that’s what they feel – PERIOD!
My only real gripe with them is that I’ve not heard one report of ANY politician being HONEST and stating just that in those words! Are they perhaps ashamed of their views?
You are correct, as usual, they are afraid that they will have to pay for others health….but in the same vain…they do not mind if others pay their unemployment check……you are right it is SELFISH!
thanks for the encouragement, chief! 🙂
anytime…it is great to see such thoughtfulness….
Funnily enough, I left a comment over on Systematic Change (twice), but it doesn’t appear. It doesn’t say anything about comment moderation.
Perhaps they don’t like my opinions and have just deleted them. Then again, how could anyone take exception to meek and mild little me, eh? 😈
He wiull most likely either email you or post a comment….my commests are not seen either…I will ask him waht’s up….thanx for stopping by his site….
