It Finally Ends–2012
Mercifully this year is ending and ending on a sour note……after all the total bovine fecal matter leading up to the vote and then the very brief time when all looked bright for some sort of working together and then that bubble burst into a continuation of the hyper partisanship of the past year…..it can finally be buried in the pages of a history book, to be written at later date…….
As a tradition I look back on things that happened with the blog and pat myself on the back…a bit……and then I sign off to enjoy the last day of a despicable year….to watch it die and hopefully buried……and buried deep……
There have been 257,412 spammers blocked……..12,241 comments………124031 hits and 5440 post (I knew there was a reason that my fingers were stubby)……..
I have enjoyed the year of readers, followers and those that participate…….I wish all those friends a very Happy New Year….please go enjoy food, family, fun and football and I will be back on 02Jan2013………….it will all begin again!

2012 New Year’s Predictions
Happy New Year everyone!
Today we begin another year….and another election cycle….may we all keep our sanity. Since I do not waste my time on resolutions that seldom make it to the next day ……instead I rather embarrass myself with annual predictions……..
Every year I predict a couple of things that I see that may come about during the course of the year….I also judge how I did in the previous year….so far I have been pretty good….not that Cayce would ever quote me but what the Hell it is fun to try and predict situations…..
First, let us review at my predictions for 2011….
1–unemployment will not go below 9%—- “-” it fell to 8.6% blew this one!
2–inflation will rise to 2%–tie….official inflation is at 1%….real inflation is more like 7%
3–DC stays partisan……+
4–Germany has a set back–+ Germany is having to cover the whole EU
5–3% economic growth—– “-“……2% at best
6–Tax cuts will not create jobs……+
7–Major economics problems in Europe…still!……+
8–Afghan theater becomes more clouded…..+
9–Pakistan will become more unstable…..- blew this one!
10-Energy & education will be hot issues…..- blew another one!
How did I do? 5 good, 4 bad and 1 tie….I was 50% right…..a so-so year, but was Nostradamus 100%?
And now on to this year’s predictions…….
1–Obama squeaks out a win
2–Dems retake House but lose Senate
3–Violence returns big to Iraq
4–New problems for Libya
5–Inflation creeps up
6–Europe slips into chaos again…EU in danger
7–Syria sinks into all out civil war
8–Taleban steps up violence in Afghanistan in the Spring and Summer
9–Eliz. Warren wins Mass Senate seat
10-Romney wins the GOP nomination
There you have it….my Nostradamus moment!
