2016: Enter The King Of Clowns

One more clown for the car……but this time it is the King Clown himself…..Donald Trump.

After months of threatening to enter into the 2016 GOP race to the nomination….Trump has gone and done it for real this time (most likely will be gone in January when Apprentice starts)…..but for now we have the King of Absurdity…….

Many thought he was just teasing the media with his threats……but after a good laxative he decided to do something completely different………as usual in his announcement speech which was as usual mostly incomprehensible he did what he does best….boast and self-promotion……..(PT Barnum would be proud of this jerk)…….

“Donald Trump 2016” is officially a thing. The real estate mogul/reality-TV star today declared, “So ladies and gentlemen, I am officially running for president of the United States and we are going to make our country great again. It can happen. … I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created.” As for what else he said, SE Cupp tweeted, “Trump is winging it. This is not embargoed speech I have.” Oh, and “First presidential announcement to include the word ‘crap’?” So here are nine more things he did say:

  • “Even our nuclear arsenal doesn’t work. I thought it was horrible when [that fact] was broadcast on television because, boy, does that send signals to Putin … that America is a nation that truly has no clue.”
  • On ObamaCare: “You have to get hit by a tractor, literally a tractor to use it because the deductibles are so high.”
  • On what he says was $5 billion spent making the ObamaCare website: “I have so many websites. I have them all over the place. I hire people, it costs me $3.”
  • “We don’t have victories anymore … I beat China all the time.”
  • “Politicians are all talk, no action. Politicians will not bring us to the promised land.”
  • On China: “They’re building a military island in the middle of the South China Sea. Now our country would never do that because we’d have to get environmental clearance. You have a problem with ISIS, you have a bigger problem with China.”
  • “Saudi Arabia. They make $1 billion a day. I love the Saudis. Many are in this building. Whenever they have problems we send over the ships. What are we doing? They have nothing but money. … Saudi Arabia without us is gone.”
  • “Somebody said to me the other day, a reporter, ‘But Mr. Trump, you’re not a nice person. How can you get people to vote for you?’ I said, ‘I don’t know.’ I said, ‘Number one, I am a nice person. I think I’m actually a very nice person. But I said this is going to be an election that’s based on competence.'”
  • “Some people say, ‘Well, Donald will never run and one of the main reasons is he’s private and he’s probably not as successful as everyone thinks.’ … So a large accounting firm has been working for months … and they’ve put together a financial statement. … I have assets, big accounting firm, $9,240,000,000. And I have liabilities of about $500 [million] … so I have a total net worth of $8,737,540,000. I’m not doing that to brag. I’m doing that to say that’s the kind of thinking our country needs.”

Notice:   This will be the last thing I will say about the douche of Wall Street…….at best  I can safely say one thing about Trump……YAWN!

2016: Jeb’s In!

What?  You thought he was running already?  According to the media he was a short lived front running even though he was not running……but now it is official…..we have yet another Bush wanting to run the US of A…..and we get to fall asleep trying to forget his family.

Embedded image permalink

Jeb has so many gaffes so far that it was difficult to imagine that he was not running until today…….from the email disaster to his Iraq comment and most recently while he was on his European world tour he met with the Polish speaker of the parliament and declared what a great guy he was and a pro American individual…..the problem is that the man had to resign days before because of his anti-American diatribe caught on tape…….calling Americans losers and stupid…….maybe Jeb should stick to GOP talking points and leave foreign policy to the big boys……

Any way he is officially a candidate for the GOP nomination for the 2016 election…….let the fun begin!

And it begins with a snicker and a YAWN!

Jeb Bush made it official today: He’s now the eleventh declared Republican running for president of the United States. “We will take Washington—the static capital of this dynamic country—out of the business of causing problems,” he told a supportive crowd at Miami Dade College, per Politico. “We will get back on the side of free enterprise and free people.” Pointing to his two terms as Florida governor, the 62-year-old said that “I know we can fix this. Because I’ve done it.” Among the highlights:

  • “Not a one of us [candidates] deserves the job by right of resume, party, seniority, family, or family narrative,” he said, apparently distancing himself from the Bush lineage. “It’s nobody’s turn.”
  • Guess that means it’s not Hillary Clinton’s, either: “I, for one, am not eager to see what another four years would look like under that kind of leadership,” he said, per the Hill. “The presidency should not be passed on from one liberal to the next.”
  • He also criticized the Obama years, referring to a “phone-it-in foreign policy” and dismissing Obama’s Cuba policy: “We don’t need a glorified tourist to go to Havana in support of a failed Cuba,” Bush said.
  • He also touted the importance of school choice, despite his earlier backing of Common Core standards. “Every parent should have the right to send their child to a better school—public, private, or charter,” he said, adding that the government “should have nothing to do with setting school standards.”
  • And he set “some bold goals” for a Jeb Bush presidency, Politico reports, saying he would aim for 4% domestic growth each year and energy security for the country within 5 years.
  • Overall, Bush presented himself “as a counterpoint to a Republican Party that has struggled to connect with minority voters” in the last two presidential elections, the New York Times says. He also promised to stick with his principles, “an implicit attack” on GOP candidates who have adjusted their views to suit core conservatives.

See a video Bush offered up last night, or read about apparent troubles in his campaign.

Republican Misrule | The American Conservative

Every time I hear a politician tell me how great my state will be if only conservatives ran everything……well my state has been run by cowardly conservs for a long time…..then I tell people to go to a stat site on economics and social issues and look at Mississippi…..we are always on the top of a worse list and the bottom of a best list….that is what conserv rule will do to your state….

While surfing the other day I found a piece in the American Conservative (that;s right…I read conservative stuff also)….it goes along with what I am saying about one party rule at the state level……

Read it and LEARN!

OOPS! One More For The Circus

Yes, Irene another clown has joined the GOP circus for the 2016 nomination……this time it is our great friend the ex-governor of Texas, Rick Perry.

Rick Perry is hoping America will forgive an “oops” moment: He’s trying again for the country’s top spot. A senior adviser speaking on condition of anonymity to the AP says the ex-Texas governor will announce today in Dallas that he’s jumping into the presidential fray—and he’ll likely push his policy record as he tried to do during his 2012 candidacy. That is, as he tried to do before he flubbed a 2011 debate in Michigan when pontificating about the three federal agencies he would close: He couldn’t remember the name of one of the agencies and instead simply said, “Oops.” “It’s going to be hard to make a first impression a second time,” a Republican strategist tells the news agency.

But it looks like Perry is all in this time. His website sports a “Perry President” logo ahead of today’s announcement and says, “I am running for president because I know our country’s best days are ahead of us.” (The Houston Chronicle’s Brian Rosenthal wryly tweeted, “Rick Perry’s new site features three nouns you’ll hear a lot: “farmer,” “veteran,” “governor.”) The AP notes that he now dons “comfortable footwear” instead of his usual cowboy boots, sports eyeglasses that give him gravitas, and has been meeting with economic and business experts to bone up on certain issues. His 14-year stint as governor resulted in Texas churning out a third of the nation’s new private-sector jobs since 2001, which Perry says was partly the result of lower taxes and less regulation, per the news agency.

Oh boy another one for the death pit of failed candidacies……can hardly wait to see his debate performance this time or his love of maple syrup……

2016 Republicans are completely ignoring the lessons of their 2012 ‘autopsy’

I recall shortly after the election of 2012 the GOP decided they needed to change things up if ever they were to win a national election……they did a party autopsy and found places that they needed to change to come more into line with the voting public…..at the time I thought it was a good idea but doubted if they would buck the radical fringe…….

I was right……they ignored everything they discovered to go down the losing road they have been on since 2008…..

But read more if you doubt what I say…….;

2016: Another Clown Joins The Circus

We now have 9, count them 9…..clowns in the GOP battle for the nomination and today another one joins the club.

Today one of my fave war hawks has jumped into the ring to duke it out with fellow Repubs, Sen. Lindsey Graham of south Carolina…….

Lindsey Graham has confirmed the all-but-confirmed: He’s joining the field of Republicans seeking the presidential nomination in 2016, reports Politico. “I’m Lindsey Graham, and I am running for president of the United States,” he told a crowd this morning in his South Carolina hometown, where he sought to underscore his humble beginnings, his self-made success, and his national-security experience. “I want to be president to defeat the enemies trying to kill us, not just penalize them or criticize them or contain them, but defeat them,” he said in advance comments via the Hill, which notes his stance sets him up as a “foil” for Rand Paul’s hands-off foreign policy. The AP runs down some things to know about Graham.

Is Graham serious?  Or is the GOP using him as a butt against Paul?

There could be an answer to that question from VOX……..

http://www.vox.com/2015/1/29/7944905/lindsey-graham-president-2016

Graham is just another clown for the car……and his statement about……”“I want to be president to defeat the enemies trying to kill us, not just penalize them or criticize them or contain them, but defeat them,” Graham said from his home town of Central, S.C..

Big talk from a coward that spends all his time hiding out in Congress…..Graham has NO chance of winning….all he is doing is keeping his defense contract benefactors happy.

Like I said….another clown joins the circus.

The GOP’s worst nightmare and a pundit’s dream: A brokered convention in 2016

Have you noticed just how many Repubs are either running for president or thinking of running for president?

Let’s say they all somehow make it to the GOP convention…..just what the Hell would that mean?

Ever hear of a brokered convention?  No?

Then read on….it is a fascinating idea and would make for a Helluva GOP convention…….

Whatcha think?

A Return Of The Huck And Chuck Show ?

My brain is barely calm after the many candidates announcements yesterday…….then BAM!  The Huck-A-Buck had to throw his hat in the ring……

It is official we now have one more GOP candidate running for the GOP nomination….the Right Reverend Mike Huckabee.

Mike Huckabee is throwing his hat in the ring—again. The former governor of Arkansas today announced “I am a candidate for president of the United States of America” at the University of Arkansas Community College, in his hometown of Hope—which also happens to be the birthplace of Bill Clinton, USA Today reports. “Every day in my life in politics was a fight,” Huckabee says in a video set to introduce him. “But any drunken redneck can walk into a bar and start a fight. A leader only starts a fight that he’s prepared to finish.” The video also notes Huckabee’s ability to rise above “Bill Clinton’s Arkansas,” includes visuals of both Bill and Hillary Clinton, and describes his plan for a “maximum wage” for workers, per the AP. How his entrance is being framed:

  • RealClearPolitics has Huckabee currently sitting sixth out of 14 current and potential GOP presidential candidates.
  • Writing for the Washington Post, Karen Tumulty notes a few things in Huckabee’s favor (he’s a “gifted communicator” with solid name recognition), but sees the path as challenging. Though he won the 2008 Iowa caucuses, his funds soon petered out, and this time he’ll face “credible” opponents, some of whom “are challenging him for the financial and political support of conservative Christians.”
  • At the New York Times, Trip Gabriel frames 2008 as the easier race. “The biggest question in voters’ minds about Mr. Huckabee … may be why he has returned to the fray. Although American politics is full of stories of the ultimate triumph of also-rans, from Richard M. Nixon to Ronald Reagan, Mr. Huckabee would seem to face greater obstacles than during his first presidential campaign, when he battled only a couple of rivals for the party’s conservative base.”
  • How an NPR headline puts it: “Can Huckabee Overcome The ‘New Car Smell’ Of Other Candidates?”

We will get all the love and concern of a Bible thumper…….Huckabee’s folksy charm may not sway many gay rights supporters, as the former Arkansas governor has called for themandatory quarantining of people with HIV/AIDS, defended ex-gay therapy and pledged to restore Don’t Ask Don’t Tell if elected president. Such remarks aren’t surprising, as Huckabee has also compared gays to Nazi propagandists, alcoholics and people who have sex with sheep. Most recently, he linked the purported danger of gay rights in the U.S. to the threat posed by the terrorist group ISIS. He has warned that same-sex marriage is a “perversion” that will lead to divine punishment and the end of America.

But I hope he brings his shadow from the 2008 campaigns….Chuck Norris…..so I can once again use……”The Huck And Chuck Show”………

Do you realize that there is a chance of 18 or more GOP candidates in this election……gonna be a crazy election……cannot wait.

GOP: A Sarah In Carly Clothing?

It is our lucky day!

A busy day in the line for filing to run for prez………a popular past time among GOPers……..

Its official yet another GOP candidate for the fire……we have a plethora of male d/bags, a black retired doctor and now we have a female running for the nomination of the GOP for the 2016 election….shades of Palin?  Oh joy.

Yep Carly Fiorina is running for president of the good old USA…….since she could not win as governor of California or was it US Senator?……..But that somehow should give her a leg up for the presidency……..I just love these people that have more money than brains and must feed that ever expanding ego…..and this one has that huge ego problem.

Say hello to our newest GOP candidate……..

“I think I’m the best person for the job because I understand how economy actually works,” Fiorina said during an interview on ABC’s Good Morning America.
Although she is considered a longshot candidate, Fiorina has positioned herself as a foil to Hillary Clinton, often attacking the Democratic candidate for her track record as secretary of state and on social issues. The line of attack has been warmly received in the Republican Party, and it is likely that Fiorina will be the only female candidate in the Republican field.
Yep,  GOP now has an attack dog that can say whatever she likes against Clinton and sexism cannot be a way to criticize…..

The GOP has been looking for that “special” lady to fill in where Palin crapped out…..is this that “special” lady?  We could make a comparison like they are both GOP women and……..(give me a minute I am thinking)…….never mind!  I do not think she is capable of that down ho,me demeanor that Palin had…….they both can sling worthless red meat at the micro brained base but in the end they are both completely worthless as candidates.

We all wait on baited breath for an announcement from Huckabee and then the field of wackos will be complete………and we wait!

GOP: Another Clown For The Car

Things work out weird sometimes…….like today…..I never intended on this being a pre-2016 election special…..but as thing work out it is……..I know a bit early but as they say “fore-warned is fore-armed”……..

The GOP is growing and an alarming rate……soon every GOP voter will have their own personal candidate.

The newest candidate is 2016’s version of 2012’s Herman Cain……..Dr, Ben Carson, a bored retire doctor with very little intelligent thing to say…….but he is running……..

The three senators officially seeking the GOP nomination are have been joined by somebody with more experience in brain surgery than politics. “I’m willing to be part of the equation and therefore, I’m announcing my candidacy for President of the United States of America,” retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson tells CBS 12. The 63-year-old is expected to launch his candidacy at an event in his hometown, Detroit, this morning, reports the New York Times, which notes that the field is filling up: Sens. Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Rand Paul have already declared, former Hewlett-Packard chief executive Carly Fiorina is expected to enter the race today, and Mike Huckabee is expected to follow suit tomorrow.

Carson has never been elected to political office, but he doesn’t see political inexperience as a drawback and polls put him right in the middle of the potential GOP field, ahead of the likes of Rick Santorum, reports CNN. After his speech today, the vocal opponent of ObamaCare plans to travel to Iowa, where a pro-Carson political action committee says it has already recruited leaders in all 99 counties, the Times reports. In March, Carson apologized for claiming that prison proves homosexuality is a choice, and he tells CBS 12 he has learned from the experience. “I don’t wander off into those extraneous areas that can be exploited. I have learned that,” he says.

YAWN!  And more yawns to come.
