What Game Is This?

We all know that US assaulted Iranian nuke sites recently and the whole affair ended in a tentative ceasefire….but as with most things within Donny’s foreign policy world there are questions….

It was reported shortly after the US airstrikes that Iran had been alerted….time enough to move their enrichment process.

The after strike assessment run the gambit of BS….Donny says the sites were ‘obliterated then US intel disputed that claim and then everyone fell in line with Donny, whatever pressure he used, and the story now is they were heavily effected.

The Iran retaliated by an attack on the US base in Qatar….the report is that it was an ineffective attack….

Donny has stated that Iran warned the US before the attack….

President Trump said Monday the Iranian government offered “early notice” about a series of missile strikes that targeted the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, downplaying Iran’s response to the U.S. bombing of three Iranian nuclear sites over the weekend as “very weak.”

“I want to thank Iran for giving us early notice, which made it possible for no lives to be lost, and nobody to be injured,” Mr. Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.

The president did not specify how much early warning Iran gave or how the warning was delivered. But Mr. Trump’s message seemed to confirm speculation that Iran could telegraph its plans for retaliation in advance, giving the United States a chance to minimize the damage and avoid an escalation.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-iran-early-notice-qatar-attacks-us-base/

It is said that Iran told Qatar of the impending airstrike knowing the Qatari government would tell their good friend about it.

To me it was just a way for the Iranians to save face after all the harsh rhetoric they had uttered.

What is going on in US foreign policy?

Iran was warned then Iran warmed of their intentions….what page is this from in the foreign policy handbook?

After looking over the reports all I can say is WTF?

Is this the new foreign policy….tough talk and then behind the scenes making nice with however we are at odds with?

At least all of Israel’s efforts and those US airstrikes have stopped Iran’s nuke program…..or did it?

President Trump is not going to like the new interview from the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Speaking to Face the Nation on CBS News, Rafael Grossi downplayed the damage done to Iran’s nuclear sites by US bombs.

  • Iran could start enriching uranium again, at least to a small degree, in a “matter of months,” said Grossi, per the BBC.
  • In his interview with Margaret Brennan, Grossi said it’s “clear that there has been severe damage, but it’s not total damage.” What’s more, “Iran has the capacities there; industrial and technological capacities. So if they so wish, they will be able to start doing this again.”
  • Gross’s comments sync with a leaked preliminary assessment by US intelligence, though the assessment’s conclusions have been aggressively disputed by Trump and defense secretary Pete Hegseth. Trump most recently asserted that Iran’s nuclear program has been set back years, if not “decades.” But Grossi’s contention is that diplomacy, not military strikes, is the only way to get a permanent solution.

Sitting and shaking my head.

Then there is the intercepted call on the damage….

Intercepted conversations among top Iranian officials indicate that the recent US strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites caused less damage than the officials expected, contradicting President Trump’s claims of “obliteration.” Four people familiar with the intercepted Iranian communications anonymously shared the information with the Washington Post, prompting pushback from the Trump administration. “It’s shameful that the Washington Post is helping people commit felonies by publishing out-of-context leaks,” said White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. “The notion that unnamed Iranian officials know what happened under hundreds of feet of rubble is nonsense. Their nuclear weapons program is over.”

The intercepted communications revealed surprise that the US strikes were less damaging than anticipated, with speculation about why the attacks did not inflict greater destruction on nuclear sites, the sources say. The debate over just how much damage was truly inflicted continues to rage; another Trump administration official said the intercepted communication was incorrect because the US destroyed critical elements of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, including a key metal conversion facility, which officials claim will take years to rebuild. CIA Director John Ratcliffe told lawmakers the same thing during a classified briefing last week, sources tell the AP.

Apparently Donny’s definition of the term ‘obliterated’ and mine are different.

Sh*t! WTF?

Late last night I read the news that the US has jumped into the Israe/Iran conflict to help our ‘good’ friends the Israelis beast down Iran.

What is that idiot thinking?

US warplanes dropped bombs on nuclear sites in Iran on Saturday, President Trump announced, ending the global uncertainty about his intentions in the Israel-Iran conflict that he had said might last another two weeks. He posted online that the planes had left Iranian airspace after striking three targets. “All planes are safely on their way home,” Trump wrote, per the New York Times. The attack brings the US directly into Israel’s military campaign to destroy Iran’s nuclear program. Iran had threatened to retaliate against the US if that happened and said it would not negotiate as long as it was under attack. Trump said he would address the nation at 10pm EDT.

  • The mission: Trump said the targets were Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. Labs in Isfahan have worked on how to convert uranium into the form required to produce a nuclear weapon. It was not often mentioned as a candidate for a strike, per the Times, and presented a more complex target. Inspectors visited the site, where Iran is thought to store its near-bomb-grade enriched uranium, two weeks ago. Fordo is the fortified underground facility that experts said would require the Pentagon’s heaviest bombs, which are carried by B-2 stealth bombers. B-2s had taken off earlier from the US.
  • Digging in: As the second week of the Israel-Iran exchanges began, Israel said it’s preparing for a lengthy war, per the AP. Israel renewed its attacks on a nuclear research facility near Isfahan and said it started strikes on military infrastructure in southwest Iran. It wasn’t clear what those targets were.
  • Americans in Israel: Mike Huckabee, the US ambassador to Israel, announced on X that “assisted departure flights” from Israel have begun, per CBS News. “If you are a US citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident currently in Israel or the West Bank and seeking US government assistance to depart,” Huckabee wrote, “please complete this form”: https://mytravel.state.gov/s/crisis-intake. Hundreds of Americans arrived on charter flights from Tel Aviv organized by not-for-profit organizations and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday.
  • Ayatollah’s planning: Iran’s supreme leader has identified three senior clerics as possible successors in the event of his death, per the Times. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who remains in a bunker, also has selected replacements for military officers in the chain of command. Officials awaiting the US decision on attacking Iran are planning for a range of possible outcomes. Khamenei recognizes that one of those possibilities is his assassination by Israeli or US forces, Iranian officials said, and would consider it martyrdom.

This is a stupid move on Donny’s part.  Shows how much influence Israeli cash has on the decision making in DC.

What does this action accomplish…..better yet was it necessary?

Does this mean WAR?

America is now at the center of this conflict thanx to the amateurs running the country.

The Story Of LA

Every swinging dick in this country has seen the doings in LA and everyone has an opinion on the causes of any violence……but the real dangers did not show up until the National Guard was ordered in to assist the police.

After about 10 days of protests and curfews the mayor of LA has lifted the curfew….

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass lifted a curfew in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday that was first imposed in response to clashes with police and vandalism amid protests against President Trump’s immigration crackdown in the city. The curfew imposed June 10 provided “successful crime prevention and suppression efforts” and protected stores, restaurants, businesses, and residents from people engaging in vandalism, the Democratic mayor said. “I will be prepared to reissue a curfew if needed,” Bass said, per the Los Angeles Times. LAPD Police Chief Jim McDonnell said police plan to maintain a “strong presence” downtown.”

That means the confrontations are getting milder (for now)….but there is something that needs to see the light of day…..

The members of the National Guard have not been paid nor can they access the health care system……

Thousands of National Guard soldiers were deployed by President Donald Trump to the Los Angeles ICE raid protests—4,000 of them haven’t been paid and can’t access their military-provided health insurance, Tricare.

That’s because the service members haven’t received official activation orders, according to a report by Military.com—a news service covering the armed forces. Activation orders are “the critical paperwork that not only authorizes their duty status, but also unlocks pay, Tricare health benefits, and eligibility for Department of Veterans Affairs services,” the publication says.

President Trump issued the order sending the Guard to protect federal buildings in the city, but the paperwork has been delayed. Without those official documents, service members cannot be onboarded and receive compensation. Four dozen National Guard members in four different units told the publication they haven’t been paid and are worried about receiving benefits. The urgency of their deployment has been “chaotic” and “clogged up the flow of administrative work,” according to military administrators who spoke to the publication on background.

Pentagon officials estimate troops will be in L.A. for 60 days. Bryn MacDonnell, an undersecretary of defense in the comptroller’s office, said at a House budget hearing last week that the cost of deploying the National Guard to Los Angeles will be $134 million. It’s also likely that part-time soldiers will be deployed in domestic missions more often, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, a National Guard veteran, said during the hearing.

“I think we’re entering another phase, especially under President Trump with his focus on the homeland, where the National Guard and reserves become a critical component of how we secure that homeland,” Hegseth told lawmakers.

Hogsbreath is a moron.

There is no documentation will there ever be that?

So were they activated without official orders?

Is this a continuation of the Donny goose step policies?

This situation is uncalled for and was most likely the cause of any escalation that occurred.

Disturbing Words On Iran

By now all the faithful have heard the news and may be rejoicing about the attack by Israel on Iran……but cheer if you must there could be a darker side on this conflict….

U.S. President Donald Trump suggested Sunday that American forces “could get involved” in the intensifying military conflict that Israel started late last week with a barrage of attacks on Iran, prompting large-scale retaliatory strikes and warnings of a prolonged and catastrophic war.

Trump toldABC News senior political correspondent Rachel Scott that the U.S. is not currently involved in the conflict, which is false. The U.S. has helped Israel shoot down Iranian missiles, and American fighter jets are reportedly “patrolling the sky in the Middle East to protect personnel and installations.” One Israeli official told the Jerusalem Post that “there was full and complete coordination with the Americans” on Israel’s early Friday bombardment of Iran, which set off the conflict.

But Trump’s remarks Sunday signaled the potential for a deeper U.S. role in the war, setting off alarm among lawmakers who have warned that such involvement would be illegal as well as disastrous.

“If President Trump intends to get the U.S. more involved in the war between Israel and Iran by attacking Iran, he must come to the Congress, make his case, and secure an authorization before he pulls our country into yet another war in the Middle East,” said Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) as Republican war hawks expressed support for U.S. intervention.

Brian Finucane, a senior adviser for the U.S. Program at the International Crisis Group, stressed Sunday that “any U.S. attack on Iran would almost certainly be illegal.”

“Hope President Trump realizes that letting Netanyahu drag him into an unnecessary war will make him look weak,” Finucane wrote on social media.

Seriously?

Is it really in the best interest of the US to get ass deep in another unwinnable war?

The only nation that will benefit will be Israel….

Have all these lame war hawks considered what will happen?  Are they ready for body bags at Dover?  (which Trump will probably miss for a golf game).

Greenland, Land Of Opportunity

Eastward Ho!

Greenland is back in the news if anyone is watching…..this time DOD Hogsbreath all but confirmed that the US will use military power to get what they want.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth refused Thursday to answer a simple question about the Trump administration’s plans for Greenland, implying that the U.S. military has drawn up plans to take the country by force.

While testifying before the House Armed Services Committee, Republican Representative Mike Turner gave Hegseth the opportunity to clarify the Trump administration’s position on taking military action to acquire Greenland—but the secretary refused to deny rumors of a potential invasion.

“While you’re here, I just want to help you out because people try to twist your words,” said Turner. “You are not confirming in your testimony today that at the Pentagon there are plans for invading or taking by force Greenland, correct? That is not your testimony today?”

“All my testimony is, is that the Pentagon has plans for any number of contingencies,” Hegseth replied simply.

“It is not your testimony today that there are plans at the Pentagon for taking by force or invading Greenland?” Turner asked, sounding incredulous. “Cause I sure as hell hope that it is not your testimony—”

“It is not your testimony today that there are plans at the Pentagon for taking by force or invading Greenland?” Turner asked, sounding incredulous. “Cause I sure as hell hope that it is not your testimony—”

“We look forward to working with Greenland to ensure that it is secured from any potential threat,” Hegseth responded, still giving no clear answer.

Turner yielded his time back to the chair.

Hegseth’s position should only come as a surprise to those who still wish to believe that Trump is kidding about his fantasies of annexing the massive, mineral-rich Arctic island, which the president has claimed the U.S. absolutely needs to wrest from Denmark’s control in order to establish “international peace.”

Are these amateurs really willing to cause a stir over Greenland?

Memorial Day 2025 (Observed)

First off I would like to wish a wonderful day and a safe one for my readers.

Second we all should take a few moments to remember those that gave their all in the service of their country…..something we seem to forget most times.

I know I will take some time and toast those friends that I lost in Vietnam….My Better Half, Sue, was also a veteran and today is her day in my house….but that is just me.

What would veterans say to Little Donny on this day?

This Memorial Day comes a month after the 50th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon, which was largely used to recall the collapse of the entire American project in Vietnam. In short, the failure of the war is now viewed as both a rebuke of the American Exceptionalism myth and the rigid Cold War mentality that had Washington in a vice grip for much of the 20th Century.

“The leaders who mismanaged this debacle were never held accountable and remained leading players in the establishment for the rest of their lives,” noted author and professor Stephen Walt in a RS symposium on the war. “The country learned little from this bitter experience, and repeated these same errors in Iraq, Afghanistan, and several other places.”

Today, after 20 years of those post-9/11 wars, the American people — including many of the veterans who fought there — have seemingly got the message. In poll after poll, they reject the use of force as the first tool in the toolbox. They eschew the idea of prospective war with Iran, and China over Taiwan.

But do our leaders “get it”?

Donald Trump swept into office in 2016 on the idea that he would end “endless” conflict and shared the national disdain for being lied to in order to invade Iraq, and for spreading American troops too thin to fight Washington’s wars of choice overseas. Now in his second term he has made similar exhortations — recently he rebuked the “neocons” who “spent trillions and trillions of dollars failing to develop Kabul, Baghdad, and so many other cities” in his recent Middle East trip.

His Vice President JD Vance is a veteran who has admonished the interventionist impulses of the past. Delivering the commencement speech to West Point’s class of 2025 on Friday, he said his boss wants only to send men and women into conflict with clear goals rather than “undefined missions” and “open-ended conflicts” of the past.

This government is a con job just like most so-called governments…..when making war is more important than a starving child then this country has taken too steps backwards.

People died in service to their nation and that is what we should remember on this day not the unofficial beginning of Summer with BBQ and beer.

This will be my only post today for there are things that I need to do plus it will most likely be a slow day here on IST as others celebrate the day in their own way.

I wish everyone a great day and as always….Be Well and Be Safe….

All Hail His Royal Majesty!

Next month we will celebrate Flag Day…..a day that most Americans ignore and still display their patriotic fervor and flag all wrong….but that is not what this post is all about…..it is about wanting to turn the day into a day of worship for Donald the Orange.

A Republican congresswoman has proposed making Donald Trump’s birthday a public holiday, in an effort probably doomed to failure in Congress but obviously intended to curry favor with the president.

Claudia Tenney, a representative from New York’s Finger Lakes region, introduced legislation on Friday aiming to combine the US annual commemoration of Flag Day with a new observance of Trump’s birthday on 14 June, arguing that the president is “the most consequential … in modern American history”.

“His impact on the nation is undeniable,” Tenney said in a news release. On X, she suggested that Trump’s birthday deserved the same treatment as that of George Washington, which is observed annually as a federal holiday on the third Monday of February.

“Just as George Washington’s birthday is codified as a federal holiday, President Trump’s birthday should also be celebrated to recognize him as the founder of America’s Golden Age,” Tenney wrote.

(theguardian.com)

Some of the supporters have to say….

“From brokering the historic Abraham Accords to championing the largest tax relief package in American history, his impact on the nation is undeniable,” Rep. Tenney said in a press release. “Just as George Washington’s birthday is codified as a federal holiday, this bill will add Trump’s birthday to this list, recognizing him as the founder of America’s golden age.”

“Additionally, as our nation prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, we should create a new federal holiday honoring the American flag and all that it represents,” Rep. Tenney continued. “By designating Trump’s birthday and Flag Day as a federal holiday, we can ensure President Trump’s contributions to American greatness and the importance of the American Flag are forever enshrined into law.”

I think I will be ill.

The federal government recognizes 11 annual federal holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Juneteenth was the most recent addition, established by Congress in 2021

Is this a not so subtle way to try and rid the calendar of holidays of the Juneteenth?

Let’s not forget the military style parade he wants for his birthday, 14 June….

Detailed Army plans for a potential military parade on President Trump’s birthday in June call for more than 6,600 soldiers, at least 150 vehicles, 50 helicopters, seven bands, and possibly a couple thousand civilians, the AP has learned. The planning documents, obtained by the AP, are dated April 29 and 30 and have not been publicly released. They represent the Army’s most recent blueprint for its long-planned 250th birthday festival on the National Mall (which happens to fall on June 14, Trump’s 79th birthday) and the newly added element—a large military parade that Trump has long wanted but is still being discussed. While the slides do not include any price estimates, it would likely cost tens of millions of dollars to put on a parade of that size.

Costs would include the movement of military vehicles, equipment, aircraft, and troops from across the country to Washington and the need to feed and house thousands of service members. High costs halted Trump’s push for a parade in his first term, and the tanks and other heavy vehicles that are part of the Army’s latest plans have raised concerns from city officials about damage to roads. Asked about plans for a parade, Army spokesman Steve Warren said Thursday that no final decisions have been made. Col. Dave Butler, another Army spokesman, added that the Army is excited about the plans for the birthday festival.

“We want to make it into an event that the entire nation can celebrate with us,” said Butler. “We want Americans to know their Army and their soldiers. A parade might become part of that, and we think that will be an excellent addition to what we already have planned.” Others familiar with the documents, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the plans have not been finalized, said they represent the Army’s plans as it prepares for any White House approval of the parade. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment. There has been no formal approval yet. Changes to the plans have been made in recent weeks and more are likely.

I read somewhere awhile back the estimated cost of this wasteful spectacle would be in the neighborhood of $92 million.

Would you consider that money well spent?

Right now there does not seem to be much enthusiasm from Congress to rush to deify this troll.

Besides all the other presidents that have been so honored are dead….

Lame ass idea from a do-nothing Congress.

Hurray For Our Side—A New Nuke

The whole nuke bomb thing has been more or less dormant for awhile and now, it began with the other admins so we cannot blame it all on Little Donny, there is a new nuke almost ready for deployment.

America’s modernization of its nuclear weapons is running ahead of schedule. The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) said the B61-13 nuclear bomb, a weapon 24 times more potent than the one dropped on Hiroshima, is entering full production seven months earlier than expected. Work on the weapon—a new type of B61 gravity bomb—started in 2023 under the Biden administration, and the DOD said at the time that “the fielding of the B61-13 is not in response to any specific current event.”

An NNSA spokesperson confirmed the accelerated timeline, saying it was enabled by “leveraging manufacturing processes from the related B61-12 program, whose final unit was completed in 2024.” Fox News reports the B61-13’s yield is akin to that of the 360-kiloton B61-7 (meaning it’s equivalent to 360,000 tons of TNT). Los Alamos reported last year that the new weapon would replace some B61-7s, meaning the overall count of America’s nuclear weapons would not increase. Interesting Engineering reports the US and Russia both possess about 5,000 nuclear warheads.

The bomb dropped on Hiroshima was a 15-kiloton bomb, while the one dropped on Nagasaki was more powerful, at 25 kilotons. As for the specifics of this one, Interesting Engineering notes the “gravity bomb” aspect just means it would be dropped from a plane versus flying on its own propulsion, though its tail kit will allow it to direct itself to its target once released. The Aviationist adds that the tail kit will also enable it to penetrate “soft soil,” meaning it could hit underground targets. The bomb is a variable warhead, meaning it can be programmed to have a yield of between 10 and 360 kilotons. That allows it to be used in a wider range of scenarios by limiting collateral damage.

Now I ask….after many years of nukes on the back burner is this such a good idea?

Sounds to me like a new ‘rams race’ could be starting…..there is China and Russia that will not want to be outdone by thye US and we are off to the races (so to speak).

Do we really need a new nuke?  We have what the government calls sufficient deterrent to any possibility that the US could be under scrutiny for an attack….we have of stealthy, drones, advanced fighters (that are basically a flying brink) and a Navy that covers the world….so again do we really need a new nuke?

What say you?

New Drone Strikes?

For the past decade drone strikes have been a way for the US to assert its dominance over the rest of the world by using drones to do their dirty work….Yemen, Syria, Somalia, etc….and now the Trump Administration is considering a new target….No it is not Iran (for now)….

They are considering using drones against Mexican cartels.

The Trump administration is considering launching drone strikes against cartels in Mexico in an effort to stem the flow of fentanyl and other drugs through the southern border, NBC News reported on Tuesday.

The report, which cited multiple former and current US officials, said the discussions were still in the early stages, but the administration has taken steps toward taking military action against cartels, including designating them as “terrorist organizations” and stepping up CIA drone flights over Mexico.

The report said that the Trump administration would prefer to launch drone strikes against cartels in cooperation with the Mexican government but is not ruling out launching unilateral military action, which would significantly rupture US-Mexico relations.

In response to the report, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum rejected the idea of any unilateral US action. “We reject any form of intervention or interference. That’s been very clear, Mexico coordinates and collaborates, but does not subordinate itself. There is no interference, nor will there be,” Sheinbaum said.

The Mexican leader added, “While this idea hasn’t been formally proposed, we’ve made it clear that it wouldn’t address the root of the issue. What truly works is ongoing attention to root causes, arrests driven by intelligence and investigation, coordination, and zero tolerance for impunity. We categorically reject any such actions, and we don’t believe they will happen. There is a strong, ongoing dialogue on security and many other matters.”

The Wall Street Journal reported in February that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth had threatened Mexican military officials that the US could take unilateral military action in Mexico. The report said Hegseth threatened action “if Mexico didn’t deal with the collusion between the country’s government and drug cartels.”

While the Trump administration wants to reduce the flow of fentanyl, opponents of turning the drug war into a hot war have warned it’s unlikely to have that effect. Daniel DePetris, a fellow at Defense Priorities, pointed out in a post on X that if the demand for fentanyl still exists in the US, then cartels or other criminal organizations would still be willing to manufacture the drug and smuggle it across the US border.

“If demand for the drug is still high, the cartels—or independent criminal syndicates—will have a financial incentive to continue manufacturing, even if it comes at the risk of death (these guys are already risking death by being in a cartel). There is a lot of money to be made,” DePetris said.

Military action against the cartels also comes with a risk of bringing a hot war to US territory since the organizations are known to have a presence inside the US and also possess advanced weapons that could even be fired across the US-Mexico border.

(antiwar.com)

Let’s be honest drone strikes have killed more civilians than bad guys….so is using them against Mexico a good idea?

I guess in some warped thinking it would be better for the use of drones than a once consider using the US military in an invasion type operation.

But this idea like the use of military personnel should be scrapped.

Just wondering.

The One DOGE Missed

The now infamous DOGE is raising all kinds of chaos in DC….but the one place that needs slimming down and budget cuts is somehow missing from the long list of targets.

CDC slashed to the bone, IRS being attacked, Social Security under a cloud, etc etc….but what about the one department with the most obscene budget and little to no oversight…..the War Department?

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said Monday that the Pentagon will soon have its first $1 trillion budget despite the Trump administration’s pledges to cut government spending.

Hegseth made the announcement on X while sharing a video of President Trump saying that his administration approved a plan for a $1 trillion military budget. “Nobody’s seen anything like it. We have to build out military, and we’re very cost-conscious, but the military is something we have to build, and we have to be strong,” he said while hosting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Trump said he was “proud to say” it will be the biggest military budget “we’ve ever done.”

Hegseth wrote on X, “Thank you Mr. President! COMING SOON: the first TRILLION dollar [Defense Department] budget.”

Hegseth said the Pentagon would “spend every taxpayer dollar wisely,” but he is currently overseeing a massive bombing campaign in Yemen that’s failed to achieve its stated goal of stopping Houthi attacks and will soon cost over $1 billion in just a month of operations.

While the Pentagon has never had a $1 trillion budget, the actual cost of total US military spending has exceeded $1 trillion for years.

The 2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which President Biden signed into law in December 2023, totaled $895 billion. According to veteran defense analyst Winslow Wheeler, based on the $895 billion NDAA, US national security spending for 2025 is expected to reach about $1.77 trillion.

Wheeler’s estimate accounts for military-related spending from other government agencies not funded by the NDAA, such as the Department of Veteran Affairs and Homeland Security. It also includes the national security share of the interest accrued on the US debt and other factors.

Trump and Hegseth’s comments suggest the president will request a $1 trillion NDAA for 2026, which would really bring total US military spending close to $2 trillion.

(antiwar.com)

Seriously?

This is obscene…..this is pathetic…..this is stupid.

Does this country need to spend $2 trillion on war prep?

I think not!

Thoughts?
