In today’s world income inequality is a major issue and a decade ago I wrote a post about it…..
Some things never change.
Here we have one of the issue that has lead to the rise of the Progressives.
We will see what we will see.

A “K-shaped” economy for sure – and you spotted it long ago: the rich get richer, the poor get poorer… People should look at what a progressive socialist is vs. a communist – the right is trying to merge the two, but they do so at their peril: socialism is looking more attractive to people as they see the billions being taken by the few in this country and the inequality is more and more obvious. I’m not saying I’m a fan of the far left any more than the far right – but messages resonate when the other side ignores the warnings
John the Right has done an excellent job at defining the Left over the years and now it will take lots of work to show the lies for what they are. chuq
Great point
Yes, the VA head today took credit for opening more hospitals for vets – all of which were approved and funded by the Biden administration. They have tried to cut 90,000 VA jobs since Frump too over! Shameful but sadly effective to the cattle who follow him blindly
You would think that any time that mess with vets the people would be outraged…..but they just smile and move on. chuq
In the 1970s, I came from a working class background in a poor district of London. But I had a good job, a company car, and was married to a woman who was a university lecturer on a 50% higher salary than me. We bought a nice house in the Wimbledon area of London, had two cars, and two foreign holidays a year. Our pensions were secure, we could afford to save a lot, eat out once a week, go to the cinema weekly, and entertain our friends with dinner parties at our house. Between 1985, and after the crash of 2008, that had all gone. And now 35 year-olds are still living at home with their parents and commuting to work on electric bicycles. If they still have a job. That is the reality of the UK in 2026, chuq. Income equality has completely collapsed. The trillionaires and billionaires, the CEOs, politicians and Tech gurus. They have it all, 90% of the available wealth in the western world. We need to kill them all, but we know that’s not going to happen.
Best wishes, Pete.
That is so very true…..we cannot kill them all…..chuq
