America’s 250th birthday party on the National Mall is assuming the feel of a rally for President Trump, according to the man himself. On Truth Social on Monday, Trump touted the July Fourth celebration as “the most spectacular TRUMP RALLY of them all,” reports the Washington Post, saying he’ll give keynote remarks at a “Tribute to America” staged between the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument. He promised military flyovers, airshows, and a soundtrack mixing patriotic standards with his own playlist. He plans to cap the evening with “the LARGEST FIREWORKS SHOW IN HISTORY,” per the Hill, which notes that organizers are looking to set a Guinness World Record.

During a press event at the Oval Office on Thursday, Donald Trump claimed that there are six states that are taking people’s children and forcing them to transition, leaving people wondering if Trump was lying or if he had lost his mind, since this is not happening anywhere.
“No men in women’s sports,” he said in the middle of his long, rambling response to a question about the SAVE America Act, which would restrict voter access. “We are talking about saving America. No men in women’s sports. Another one, very popular. I think it is 99-to-1… They say it is 80/20, I think it is 99-to-1.”
“And we have no mutilization of your children for transgender purposes. You see, transgender mutilization of your children? Does that sound good with you?” he asked someone standing behind him, who said, “Not at all.”
“Where your child leaves your house, and they take your child from you, in some cases… Think of it, in six states, they take the child and do what they want to do. What they do is, is- I don’t even want to talk about it! No transgender mutilization of your children.”
There are those that will believe this crap from a proven liar.

The Trump administration is continuing its efforts to dismantle the Education Department, reassigning critical oversight responsibilities for special education and civil rights to other federal bodies.
Under the new arrangement, the Department of Justice will assume civil rights enforcement in education, while the Department of Health and Human Services will take charge of special education oversight. These transfers, announced on Tuesday, mean that the bulk of the Education Department’s functions have now been distributed across various other agencies.

The Trump administration will be allowed to replace an exhibit on slavery at George Washington’s home in Philadelphia, a federal appeals court panel said on Thursday.
The ruling struck down a lower court decision that said the National Park Service must restore the exhibit, which it had torn down to comply with the president’s executive order last year on “restoring truth and sanity to American history.”
In January, NPS removed the six-panel outdoor display, which documented the lives of people enslaved by Washington during the fight for independence. It was unveiled in 2010 after years of community advocacy, WHYY reported.
“It was the grand opening of the first slave memorial of its kind on federal property in the history of the U.S. We thought it would last forever. But 15 years later, the destruction came,” activist Michael Coard said to NPR.
Philadelphia quickly sued the Interior Department to restore the exhibit, and won. U.S. District Judge Cynthia Rufe ordered the Trump administration to put the panels back up, comparing the administration’s efforts to those taken by the totalitarian government in George Orwell’s 1984.

NN’s Jamie Gangel discussed new reporting from The New York Times’ Jonathan Swan and Maggie Haberman that detailed an instance in which President Donald Trump allegedly bragged about being more powerful than Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin — citing a “historian” who turned out to be former professional golfer Gary Player’s caddie.
The snippet came from Swan and Haberman’s new book on the first 14 months of Trump’s first term, Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump.
“In March, Maggie and Jonathan Swan go to the Oval Office for a formal sit-down interview with the president,” explained Gangel. “He’s very proud that some presidential historian has given him this document, which he says shows he’s more powerful than Hitler and Stalin and Attila the Hun — I’m not sure why you’d want that comparison.”
Who knows maybe the caddie was a historian there is probably more money in being a caddie.

The water also appears green in photos from 2009 and 2010, while a photo from 2012 shows algae forming on the surface of the water following the Obama administration’s refurbishment.
