The digital ink is dry on a US-Iran framework, President Trump and other US officials said Monday, that he contends will have the Strait of Hormuz “completely open” by Friday. Arriving at the G7 summit in Évian, Trump touted a memorandum of understanding calling for the US naval blockade to be lifted in exchange for reopening the key oil chokepoint, the Guardian reports. Trump and Vice President JD Vance electronically signed the deal, as did Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran’s lead negotiator, per the New York Times. Pakistan said a ceremonial signing will be held Friday in Geneva; Trump did not commit to attending but said Vance would.
Little information about the agreement has been released. Vance told CNBC that administration negotiators have “very important details to figure out” in the next phase of the talks. Those details include how the US wants Iran to dispose of its highly enriched uranium. “It’s been nearly 24 hours since Trump announced there was a potential deal with Iran, and we still don’t know the details,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said, per CBS News. Trump told reporters in France that the text might not be released until after Friday. “This is a very powerful document and I want it to be released,” he said. “So probably pretty soon.”

Israel’s leaders are watching President Trump’s looming Iran deal with more unease than enthusiasm. With the agreement expected to be signed this week but key details still murky, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is urgently seeking a meeting with Trump as Israeli officials warn the accord could ease sanctions and revive Iran’s economy without forcing it to surrender enriched uranium, per the Wall Street Journal. While Trump aims to bring the conflict to a close without Iranian regime change, Jerusalem still talks about using military pressure to weaken or possibly topple Tehran and maintaining a “security zone” in Lebanon.
Israel will continue killing civilians in the name of defense…..the same tactic they have been using for at least 50 years and get away with it because the US will always look the other way.

Barack Obama predicts some deja vu when the dust settles on the new deal between Iran and the US. In an interview with ABC’s Robin Roberts, the former president said any deal that emerges is unlikely to be much different from the 2015 nuclear accord his administration negotiated, known as the JCPOA—an agreement Trump quit in 2018 and has long castigated as a “horrible deal,” reports ABC News.
“It is doubtful that any agreement that arises is going to be significantly different, or in a significant improvement from the deal that we had in the first place, and had worked for a long stretch of time before we, the United States, pulled out of it,” Obama said in a Good Morning America interview set to air Wednesday, per the Hill. That was about the same time he said America’s “excursion” into Iran would take “four to five weeks” and “won’t be difficult.”
More than 14 weeks, thousands of lost lives and billions upon billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars later, it appears America is the one surrendering.

God, this is such a fecking mess! Everyone seems to forget that we once had an agreement with Iran that was preventing them from developing a nuclear weapon that included independent inspectors being given access to all of Iran’s uranium processing facilities, etc. Yes, it wasn’t an ideal situation but at least it seemed to be working. An agreement that Trump killed for no other reason than it had been negotiated by Obama. So if Iran was indeed working towards a nuclear weapon, there is only one person who should carry 100% of the blame, and that is Trump.
The lies come thick and fast as one reads or listens to how the administration is trying to spin this.
Have you heard yet that he’s also agreed to pay Iran up to $300 billion? Vance was making the rounds of the news services trying to explain that away.
Israel, meanwhile, is absolutely livid with rage over this. Despite what Trump has been saying about them being involved in the negotiations, from what I’ve been hearing Israel had no involvement at all in the “negotiations” and several people high up in the Israeli government have denounced the agreement in no uncertain terms and stated that the agreement doesn’t apply to them at all and they’ll continue to attack Lebanon and, if necessary, targets in Iran itself if they feel like it.
Sidenote: Israel’s cushy relationship with the US seems to be definitely on the rocks. Trump apparently had more than one very heated phone call with his buddy, Netanyahu, thoroughly cursed him out, and told him that he’d be in jail already if it weren’t for Trump.
It’s a real shit show.
Having seen this kind of word salad before with Trump, trying to dissect it, and trying to find the reality in it is a freakin’ waste of time. I’m sure you remember when he first ascended the throne oops Presidency he went to war with Oregon? Im sure they do. I wouldn’t trust him with anything…

They’re trying desperately to spin this to make it sound less bad than it really is. The exact details of just what is in this “agreement” don’t seem to have been made public yet. But from what Vance is saying now the $300 billion isn’t going to come from the US it’s going to come from the other countries in the area? Maybe? Sort of?
This whole “deal” sounds more and more like a complete sham designed to let Trump try to wriggle out of a horrific situation that he himself is 100% responsible for, and claim that he somehow managed to “end” the war. Iran is now claiming that the deal requires Israel to completely pull out of Lebanon and stop attacking Hezbollah. Which, of course, Israel absolutely will not do. Israel has already stated that it had nothing to do with this deal and absolutely will not adhere to any restrictions on its actions.

On December 29th 2025, the per-barrel price of Brent Crude was $61.25. On February 28th 2026, Israel and the U.S. launched surprise attacks against Iran which started the current war. On March 23rd 2026, the Brent Crude price hit $100.34. On May 26th, it dipped to $96.51. Today’s price is $80.74, roughly 32% higher than at the end of 2025. Please note that retail gas pump prices always lag behind wholesale market prices.
Assuming that the 2026 Iran War is over (for argument’s sake), does anyone actually believe that oil prices will fall back down to pre-war levels? If not, then the purpose of the U.S. involvement in the war becomes clearer. Western aggression in the Middle East has always been about oil, and that doesn’t always sit well with Netanyahu and his insane Zionist crusaders.

The war was only ever about insider trading on oil prices. Now Trump has tired of the criticism, wants to end it and claim victory, then move against Cuba. But Israel is still bombing Lebanon, and Israel will not allow Trump to walk away completely from ‘their’ war.
