A Return To Yesteryear

There has been massive protests in Iran and the neocons are drooling all over themselves and they want to return the son of the late shah to a leadership roll.

It’s getting a little old at this point, but as the Deep State log rolls for another U.S. attack on Iran, it is promoting a new Iranian national savior, one with a familiar name.

Here’s a graphic seen on X, much like others showing up on social media, championing Reza Pahlavi as “the legitimate national leader of Iran.”

Because Pahlavi calls for more U.S. intervention in Iran including airstrikes, his champions are a midnight choir of failed voices from prior regime change calamities:  Richard Perle, Michael Ledeen, James Woolsey.  He is featured frequently in the warmongering of the Empire’s lapdog press, in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and on Fox News.

Pahlavi’s only claim to legitimacy is that he is the son of the late-Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi who was driven from Iran in the 1979 revolution.

Once again the US is ass deep in regime change….and as usual we have a leader in mind…..one that will be subservient to the US….just another control issue of oil.

The Iranian people’s desire is nowhere in the equation…..period!

This will return Iran to the days where the secret police (the Iranian version of ICE) will keep the people inline with brutality and the only winner in the overthrow of the Iranian leadership will be Pahlavi just as his father benefited.

Plus it will give Israel more leeway to focus all its energy on the elimination of Palestine in favor of some lousy idea of a Holy Land.

This will not bring peace to the region just a momentary lull until the next Iranian revolution.

  1. We should do everything possible to promote regime change in Iran and destroy the death grip its theocracy has on the country. Help establish a secular goverment too but promoting the shah boy is a symbolic return to royal dictatorship which is not healthy. Even if the shah boy is a reasonable new start , it still stinks or shahism. and a very stupid US policy. The persistence of Iran’s theocratic militarism is disruptive for entire Middle East and any attempt to negotiate anything with these liars is foolish indeed.

    1. Carl I think it is more about the oil and who they can control that is foremost…..the shah boy is just a return to the past and I do not think the Iranian people will go for that. chuq

  2. Send in the Shah’s son as a US puppet, steal the oil, and leave a mess behind. Classic collaboration between the US and Israel to establish regime change in that part of the world.
    Best wishes, Pete.
