The day of reckoning quickly approaches….the choice will be made…..or will it?
Many of the Trump supported websites seem to believe that Clinton will be install as president….they love to call it a “coronation”.
The problem is that I find myself agreeing with them….maybe not the coronation thing but that she will be installed over the people’s wishes……
The Democratic National Committee tilted the primary season to favor Hillary Clinton. This might be seen benignly as an aberration, a negligible prank in the messy world of politics. It was not an aberration.
Unless the nation lapses into lunacy on November 8, Hillary Clinton will be our next president.
The prospect raises an alarming question we’ve never before confronted.
How can a thriving democracy conceivably elect a president who is dishonest and untrustworthy in the minds of 59% of the people? A woman shown to be a felon but not prosecuted for want of precedent? A woman who lies and contradicts herself, documented in video clips? A bold hypocrite who solicits and accepts hundreds of millions in campaign contributions from Wall Street banks, the armaments industry, and Big Pharma, and claims to abhor Citizens United which enables her to do so?

What you are talking about is not only possible but I believe it is the new normal. The government has been wrested from the hands of “We The People” and placed into the hands of the ruling elite Oligarchy whose whole world is wrapped up in what is best for the Military/Industrial Complex … the whole thing is based on the acquisition of wealth and toward that end, every single individual citizen of The United States now has a virtual price tag on them evaluating them at such and such a dollar amount per pound just like any meat in a retail store and every thing the ruling class does is designed to get the most for their money out of every pound of American Flesh and every pint of American Blood. Ask any veteran!

Yes, things change. If we had said something like during the period, 2000-2008 we might have been branded as “Traitorous.” (Or definitely Un-American.) Remember when anyone who disagreed with G.W. and the boys were often labeled as “Subversive, Un-American, Traitorous or a dozen other things?). I think I remember Hannity and Limbaugh talking about this a lot on their talk programs back in the day.

This is the same democracy that has almost 30% of Americans believing President Obama is Muslim and 1 out of 5 being convinced he was born in Kenya.
PolitiFact, the Pulitzer prize-winning fact-checking project, determined for example that Hillary was actually the most truthful candidate (of either Party) in the 2016 election season. And in general PolitiFact has determined that Hillary is more honest than most (but not all) politicians they have tracked over the years.
She has spent a lifetime of service helping people, getting great marks and poll numbers while she was a NY senator and U.S. secretary of state. Yes, she has made mistakes and yes, she is overly zealous in protecting her image and privacy.
Her poll numbers dive whenever she is running for an elected position. Could there be a bit of misogyny at play here?

In my mind, just as there are credible justifications why someone would have voted against our current President Barack Obama, which have nothing to do with crazy talk like he was born in Kenya, I would like the same to be true for the 2016 democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton. Those who vote against her for whatever reasons should not look through the republican right 40 year old prism that HRC is a congenital liar who belongs in prison.

My “HE”wwno, thinks that Trump never got over his democratic tendencies and ran just to be sure Hilary wins; because most people I know who are voting for her, are really just voting AGAINST him.

I think as a Nation, some self-reflection by its citizens is in order. Apathy is the main reason for the mess and it is a shared commodity.
