Google: Truth Or Consequences

I try to find stuff that would interest my readers….even any Right wingers that may show……with the hope that they will offer up an opinion to start a small debate if possible………

Okay this article is just way cool….but I guess it would be according to your own perception……

There will be some that do not like this….but for the life of me I cannot understand why.  My grandfather use to say….”the truth needs NO justification”.

I can foresee a problem with a corporation deciding what is true and what is not…….could profit motivate the truth ranking?

Please read this and weigh in..”.is it is or is it ain’t” a good idea?

Anti-science advocates are freaking out about Google truth rankings – Salon.com.

  1. I always read the political truth’o-meter column about a candidate’s assertions and record claims. It is helpful but nothing is ever the final word. When I taught advanced placement US history for the 11th grade college bound the multiple test choice tests , well I found them very subjective. The test creator’s opinion was the correct answer allegedly the truth but I could write volumes on why other answers were more true(?). I think truth assessment tools are helpful because we often do not know enough about a subject or are fd just one side. Perhaps we need back up – a truth assessment of the truth assessment.

    1. In this age of BS and the internet….the truth is a difficult commodity……I agree that nowadays the truth is subjective…..I am old and that bothers me…..

  2. “With the hope that they will offer an opinion…”
Omfg, we need to have a serious re-evaluation of your current hopes and goals, and see if we can’t come up with one less self destructive, eh?

      1. Eeeesh, damn it…
        that’s torturous, I’m sure 🙁
well, at least your well-seasoned and ready for ’em when they decide to start that thing they do when their’ necks flap on either side and a whistling sound gets louder with each burst of hot air exuded…
        Hugs!

  3. Hehehehe, I must say that I liked reading about the prospect og conspiracy theorists ranking high – the way I see it then is someone out there might just take more serious note of conspiracy theories and attempt finding the fire underneath the smoke 🙂 but generally I do wonder who will actually get to decide “the best” – machines or “brown envelopes” shoved in the direction of humans operating the machines 🙂
