American democracy is doomed – Vox

My visit to the doctor today was better than I thought…..BP is high….all else is borderline or good….I will live to argue another year!

I have been bitching about the media for 30 years…..to me they have created the crap we now face with all this partisan name calling and politics….in short the MSM is putting a working democracy in jeopardy.

I feel that our democracy is on the down side of longevity….that this fighting and insulting rhetoric is doing nothing to move the country forward.  Our country is NO longer a concern….all that has been replaced with hate and lies.  I may not speak glowingly about some people but I do not hate them….I do however question their mental capacity…..but this country has gotten ass deep into lies…..we cannot survive like that.

Unfortunately I see no relief in sight….just more made up stories and derogatory rhetoric……. could we be looking at the demise of our beloved democracy?

BiBi’s Big Congressional Speech

Today is the big day….Israel”s PM will mount (use the term and you may take it any way you prefer) the podium for his big speech……that all the world will be on bended knees waiting for his approval……

I was diligently going to watch the speech and then do a post in analysis……….

I can save you and me some time….for I got a great cartoon on Twitter that will be his speech……

Sorry my friends but today is my day in the barrel with my doctor……depends on findings I may be missing for awhile………..but never fear……I will escape and make my way back to the internet…..

By now we have heard that the Russian opposition leader, Boris Nemtsov, has been killed in Moscow during a rally against Putin.

The stories run a wide gambit of who dunnits……from the most obvious Putin had him murdered to some whacky m,ember of his opposition killed him to turn him into martyr……

I am sure that speculation will go on and on until the culprit is caught and then it will be in question if everything was truly done to find his killer.

ISIS: Oh Crap! Never Mind!

I wrote yesterday about the idea/plan for a Spring offensive by the Iraqi forces and its Coalition partners against ISIS….the plan being to retake Mosul from the clutches of ISIS.

The problem is that the US telegraphed this plan without really consulting it s allies……Iraq was pushing back saying that it was a premature announcement and that Iraqi forces could not be ready in that short of time…..

There was much back and forth about this announced plan……and in the end….guess what will happen?

After weeks of hyping their planned “spring offensive” against ISIS in Iraq, capped off with the capture of the major city of Mosul, the Pentagon is now said to have taken the plan entirely off the table on the grounds that Iraqi troops probably wouldn’t win.

“We don’t want to do anything until they are ready and can win decisively,” one Pentagon official explained, “they cannot now.” Apparently, Centcom announced the intention to carry out this attack before considering if it was winnable.

Pentagon officials are now saying that the invasion is being pushed back until at least autumn, though even that is tentative, and likely based on extremely optimistic timetables for getting the Iraqi military back into fighting form.

You would think that the US would coordinate with its coalition partners before a chest thumping announcement was made….
