I sincerely doubt that Obama is upset of not needing to bomb Syria. This was almost certainly planned out with Putin in advance. Kerry’s “slip” was deliberate.
Obama played the long game and won – as usual.
He’s no peacenik (much as I wish he was), but he’s a long way off from guys like John “Bombs Away” McCain who are foaming at the mouth to prove how tough they are by starting another conflict.
