Here’s Why

When Romney announced his running mate would be Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, people rejoiced and I was one of them….not because I am a conserv but rather that Ryan was a person that had a plan, which I did not agree with, and that would give the Romney presidency some direction and some specifics that could be debated….but so far I have seen nothing to impress me about Ryan, if I deduct that gym schedule that he has, and the Romney presidency has nothing, even after several promises of more specifics and several restarts, we as voters still have NOTHING that would make him a good president….Hell not even a bad president….at least bad pres have plans….Romney got nothing but “trust me” or  “I will explain everything after the election”……

GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan insists that Mitt Romney’s plan will lower taxes for all Americans, but you’ll just have to take him on his word. When asked by “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace about the plan’s specifics, Ryan said he did not have enough time to explain it.

“It would take me too long to go through all of the math,” Ryan said. He added, “But let me say it this way. You can lower tax rates 20 percent across the board by closing loopholes and still have preferences for the middle class for things like charitable deductions, home purchases, for health care. What we’re saying is people are going to get lower tax rates and therefore they will not send as much money to Washington.”

If Paul Ryan is the best they can do at explaining their issues then they are in bigger trouble than I had anticipated.

One of the best examples of this campaign with NOTHING is an response that Ryan  had to a question by FOX News personality, Chris Wallace…..let me say that again in case you missed it…….Chris Wallace of FOX News…..

I think we have seen what will be one of the points covered at tomorrow’s debate….

This is the perfect example of the Romney/Ryan campaign….they have no way to give specifics…even when asked by FOX News….they have nothing.

  1. Lobotero,

I once remember you hawking the Simpson/Bowles economic plan.

Did you know that Democrat Erskine Bowles praised Paul Ryan and his budget?

      1. This is Romney’s candidacy, Lob – not Ryan’s. Romney has decided not to run on the Ryan plan because most voters are stupid and fall for liberal lies. Not even ‘ol Ershwine, a liberal, could convince the voting public that the Ryan plan is a smart, detailed plan slated to get America back on track.

      2. I know but all, the excitement was because Ryan had ideas that Mitt cannot talk about, for some reason…liberal lies? Do you realize that the Ryan plan for Medicare is very similar to Obama’s, at least the promised savings over the next ten years? How liberal is that?

      3. I guarantee you won’t hear Obama say that, Lob.. Democrats must convince elderly folks that Republican plans will hurt them. That’s how they win.

      4. Oh I agree and Romney needs to convince them they will be better off with him…..both are not being honest, but as usual, that is just my opinion……neither have a real solution just political advantageous ones……

  2. It has been my sincere belief that for sometime now the GOP candidates and their Party are so slim on details about any of their plans because, 1. they simply have nothing other than more trickle down economics as their strategy to create jobs and lower the deficit while cutting taxes even lower than they are now and 2. – they really believe this election is their because more people would rather vote for them than Obama.

There’s some merit to that last item. Those likely voters in the GOP, when polled, had about 54% voting against Obama rather than voting to support Romney.

Hate is a big driver in the GOP. They don’t really like their own nominee but they like the President even less. Ain’t democracy with its informed citizenry grand?

    1. Larry, there seems to be a great deal of confidence that the debate may be the day that we get specifics….personally, I do not think so….and that is from either candidate….I agree that it is sad that in voting it is not for the better of the country but rather to defeat a candidate….that is why the system is grinding to a halt.

  3. I don’t think Ayn Rand’s clone is ready for prime time. Ryan was over-hyped by his Republican cohorts, and now their chicken has come home to roost. Ryan has fallen flat on his face so many times on his national tour all but the die-hard neocons are left shaking their heads at his ridiculous explanations of his stand on any issue he is questioned about. Romney might have done better to pick Palin as his running mate. At least she had some entertainment value.
