Thanx For Misleading Ads

Daily Agitator

Subject”  Marketing BS

Before the calls for my head start….I am NOT saying that Iran does NOT have devices that harm our troops….I am pointing out the lies and deception used to sell you a product or idea or whatever it is these liars use to influence…..

I recently saw an ad on the tube put on by Vote Vet…it is all about the explosive devices that the troops face in the ME and then they say the if oil goes up $1 then Iran gets another $1.5 billion to use on developing more explosives to use against out troops…..this is an ad to promote an alt energy plan for the US…..the problem I have with this is that the US gets NO direct oil from Iran and if we develop a program that we do not need ME oil it still will not make the troops safer…they will still get their money and they will still develop deadly devices to be used on our troops…..

Yes, there is more!

Another ad for the tube has doctors doing nimble gymnastics as they approach a patient and the voice over says that Doctors are the real heroes…..the problem I have with this one is that heroes are people to do a thing without thought of how it benefits them…..I have met NO doctors that fit into that category…..they became doctors for no reason only….THE MONEY!

I know it is just Marketing……but the point it is our whole lives we are lied to on every side…..politicians….salesmen…..media…..everyone lies to everyone…….this is the society that we have created……full of illusion and fecal matter…….

I know I am farting in the wind….but we all have to have something to bitch about….Happy Mother’s Day…..

  1. You may be right in the US, but you’re wrong about a huge majority of doctors worldwide (and, as I’ve pointed out before, it’s only in the minds of provincial colonialists that America IS the world). Additionally, what happens to oil demand elsewhere in the world undoubtedly affects the value of Iran’s (as well as the US’s!!!) oil reserves and production. The oil producers and particularly the Arab states who have oil have continuously held the rest of the world to ransom for the last thirty or forty years and have often seriously damaged western economies in the process, purely (and quite understandably) entirely for their own selfish reasons.

I have no argument with them for doing that, because it is in THEIR interests and that is what they should be thinking of first. However, what IS stupid is the fact that we in the WEST (largely because of the vested influence of “Big Oil”), have done damn all to break out of their vice-like grip.

In fact all the shit we put up with from the “Greens” and the global warming bandwagon has made the situation FAR worse. I support research, development and the introduction of alternative energy sources 100% – but that’s for purely economic and self sufficiency reasons! Ecological concerns are vital, but they must still always be tempered with ECONOMIC concerns, since without successful economies, we’ll all be back in caves and no one will be able to afford their f*cking alternative anything – a lesson in realism is (yet again) urgently required by these people!!!

However, in the context in which you quote those ads, you are almost certainly completely right and they are indeed devious in the extreme. What I keep asking is: if you will insist on supporting criticism and tinkering with a totally discredited and shit, broken system, what else would you expect?

Such things are simply the entirely predictable outcome of the system we currently have in place. It is not really the fault of the individuals, but of the SYSTEM ITSELF that encourages and even demands that they behave in that way for the sake of their own survival!

    1. Unfortunately I have to deal with the pricks here……..look at BP…they have dismal record world wide……the valve was expensive so why use it…wait for a problem and beg off on the responsibility…..BP is passing the buck already…they keep saying everything belongs to Transoceania….and the best we can tell is they are an address in the Caymans……because of the spill we ALL will pay more for our gas because all will be made to have protective equipment……

On Iran…..they are the enemy…that is what we believe…so they can use that in anyway possible to sell a product or idea or whatever….we Americans always need a “bad guy”…..

      1. BP stands for BRITISH Petroleum, although it’s nothing of the sort. However, when you get to paying around $10 per gallon in the US for your petrol like we do in the UK (because of all the tax the UK and EU add!!!), then maybe I’ll sympathise…

As to needing a bad guy – Brits are the same – we just usually blame Americans 😆

      2. My point on the doctor thingy was the use of hero…..I hate that word! NO one is a hero if they are doing their job….a good employee maybe, but not a hero…I put cops and firemen in the same bowl….if they are on duty they are working…now if they dash into a burning house on their way to a movie then we can call them a hero…..all this hero worship is just stupid….by using the word for everything they are diminishing a real hero when he/she actually does something heroic.

      3. I agree with you about the “hero” angle. But then the “over use” of any tag (good or bad) that describes human qualities and behaviour ALWAYS devalues that tag, doesn’t it?

      4. Yep, I went on a rant about hero thing awhile back after Katrina when every fireman, cop and guardsman was a hero for doing their job…….no where was the average working stiff a hero….it just pissed me off and still pisses me off….
