Continuing the idea that some of my notes that do not make it into posts, deserve a place in the line up……
1–Sun worship appears to be the latest threat to Iranian security as authorities announce that suntanned women will be imprisoned. “The public expects us to act swiftly if we see any social misbehavior,” said Tehran police chief Brig Hossien Sajedinia, who noted that women will be warned before arrests begin. “We see many suntanned women and young girls who look like walking mannequins.” Many women, especially in Tehran, ignore Islamic laws that require women to wear headscarves and cloaks. An ayatollah warned “sinners” to flee the capital before the crackdown begins, reports the Telegraph.
2–you really shouldn’t call Anna Godfrey fat. The 21-year-old Nebraska woman allegedly tackled a man who called her exactly that at a birthday party, then bit off a chunk of his ear. Godfrey was arrested yesterday, and the 24-year-old victim’s missing ear portion was never found, the AP reports.
I wonder if she and Tyson Tweet each other?
3–Now here is an idea! The first U.S. women allowed to serve aboard submarines will be reporting for duty by 2012, the Navy said Thursday as the military ordered an end to one of its few remaining gender barriers.
The first group of women will consist entirely of officers assigned to guided-missile attack submarines and ballistic-missile submarines, which have the most living space in the Navy’s fleet.
And when they let women go to sea for the first time….how many pregnancies did that produce? This would give a whole new definition to “hot rack”…….
4–After one round of the golf tourney, Tiger is tied for 88thplace……thinking…..maybe he needs to get laid (again)…he seemed to play better when he was spreading the ‘willie’ around….UPDATE: Woods misses cut at Quail Hollow……what could be missing from his game? Oh yeah….THE CAT!
5–Big news the oil spill that is threatening the Gulf South was caused by an explosion on the rig during a maintenance job….guess who the contractor was? HALLIBURTON! Sound familiar?
6–More on oil spill……..now it is somehow the Coast Guards responsibility…..oil companies do not want government meddling, but who do they want to clean up their messes? Banks are a good place to start your thinking….
7–BTW, Mexico has issued a travel warning to the citizens for Arizona…..

#3 I don’t see a problem with women in ANY position in the armed services – except that I’m not entirely sure that I want to risk the finger on the button being subject to whims of PMS – still, I guess we’ll all go together when we go, regardless of whether bigotry or bra size is to blame.

And they keep saying that BP will pay….I doubt very much……because now they have a legal precedent to go back to in the future
Of course – which is why (see your most recent post) the State is more trouble than it’s worth to most of us – it achieves nothing!
