This Is Good For A Laugh

Sorry guys I could not resist this story.

Remember Michelle Bachmann, that crazy bitch and MAGA twat?

Since she left Congress we have not heard much from this mouth of stupid….but that is about to change.

Former Rep. Michelle Bachmann appeared on Victory News, where there was a little bit of a showdown between Donald Trump and Gavin Newsom, in which she hosted a sort of beauty pageant.

Bachmann was asked her assessment of President Trump‘s current standing and “stamina” as he navigates his second term. This prompted Bachmann to gush about the president’s appearance and fitness, leading to the specific comparison between him and the governor of California, which was unprompted.

They see Gavin Newsom as this big beauty, but I would put up Donald Trump against him any day,” she said.

“Here you have Donald Trump, who is in his very late seventies, the guy is absolutely handsome, in incredible shape, he’s married to the most beautiful woman in the world, and I’d put Donald Trump up against Gavin Newsom any day of the week.”

“Gavin wouldn’t even be in the same league as Donald Trump.”

She never fails to show here ignorance…..

“Handsome and in incredible shape”….what a complete suck up and apparently is losing her eye sight.

Just thought I would let you know that this twat has not gone away and you deserve a good chuckle for the day.

You are welcome.

They Eat Their Own

Cracks are forming!

One of the more interesting stories last week was that of two of Trump’s minions in the House that are sniping at each.

MTG and Laura Loomer are at each other’s throat…..

An online war of words—including accusations of racism and antisemitism—has broken out in Donald Trump’s inner circle, sparked by a post mocking Vice President Kamala Harris’ heritage. After Harris posted a photo of herself visiting her grandparents in India as a child on Sunday, Laura Loomer—a right-wing conspiracy theorist with a history of saying such things—wrote that the election of Harris would mean the White House will smell like curry and other unamusing references to India and its people, the Hill reports. “This is appalling and extremely racist,” Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene posted on X in response. Loomer called Greene a “raging antisemite.”

There was more. Loomer brought up Greene’s divorce, saying she’s “a poor excuse for a Christian.” The lawmaker said the post about Harris, which Loomer defended as a “funny joke,” doesn’t reflect “who we are as Republicans or MAGA. This does not represent President Trump. This type of behavior should not be tolerated ever.” Greene later said that when Loomer puts up posts that are “flat out racist, hateful, and make President Trump look bad, she needs to be responsible and delete them.” Loomer declined.

While the back-and-forth was proceeding, Loomer was visible at the side of Trump, flying with him to New York and Pennsylvania to mark the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on Wednesday. She also was on Trump’s plane when he traveled to Philadelphia for his debate against Harris on Tuesday night. Another Trump ally, Sen. Lindsey Graham, suggested the presidential candidate put more distance between himself and Loomer, per the Wall Street Journal. “The history of this person is just really toxic,” Graham told the Huffington Post. He said Trump “would serve himself well to make sure this doesn’t become a bigger story.”

Is this a good sign?

If only more Trumpian toadies would start attacking each other…..maybe then some of the low intellect supports would see just how ridiculous their support truly is.

But I will not hold my breath!

Just What Makes Trump’s Policies Attractive?

I have asked myself that question many times….I cannot see where a normal rational person could find anything Trump has to offer appealing in the least.

But that is just me…..and I do not fall for fear mongering and race baiting.

Now I read an article that could explain this phenom somewhat…..

Today I want to suggest why so many working-class Americans are attracted to a sociopathic liar who advocates neofascism.

IN 2010, A MAJORITY OF THE SUPREME COURT decided in Citizens United vs. the Federal Election Commission that corporations are people under the First Amendment, entitled to freedom of speech. Therefore, said the court, the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 (commonly referred to as the McCain-Feingold Act), which had limited spending by corporations on political advertisements, violated the Constitution and was no longer the law of the land.

Yet as a practical matter, freedom of speech is the freedom to be heard, and most citizens’ freedom to be heard has been reduced as big corporations with deep pockets get the loudest political voice.

Nowhere did the five members in the majority acknowledge the imbalance of power between ordinary citizens and big corporations able to bribe politicians with campaign donations. In practice, the “freedom of speech” granted by the Supreme Court to big corporations has drowned out the speech of ordinary people — especially those without college degrees who had been losing economic ground for decades.

There is no countervailing power. By the 2016 campaign cycle, corporations and Wall Street contributed $34 to political campaigns for every $1 donated by labor unions and all public interest organizations combined. (And the richest one-hundredth of 1 percent of Americans accounted for 40 percent of all personal donations.)

Citizens United opened the floodgates to big money, but big money was already polluting American politics. The flow really began in 1971, when future Supreme Court justice Lewis Powell wrote a memo for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, urging corporate America to finance a massive lobbying operation in Washington,

WHAT HAVE BIG CORPORATIONS and the ultra-wealthy received for all their money? Among other things:

Whatcha think?  Is this characterization accurate?

But before you answer….a little something to think about….read it and be amazed.

Donald Trump believes in eugenics. He really does. Of course, his understanding of it is purely based upon his own belief in his superior genes and good “German blood.” He’s said it many times in public:

Trump’s out campaigning in earnest now as the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary are just weeks away. And if anyone thought he was going to soft-peddle the “Hitleresque” rhetoric, they were way off base. His basic stump speech is all about banning immigration by those who don’t “share our ideology” (whatever he means by that), and rounding people up here in the U.S. and putting them in camps. He’s not being subtle about who he’s talking about.

Trump is always looking for a way to thrill his followers with a new outrage so it’s easy to say he’s just putting on a show. But I think he means it. He’s very bitter and angry at half of America for not loving him unconditionally and his thirst for revenge is overwhelming. It’s not about ideology, it’s personal. But the program that he’s contemplating as his instrument to pay back all those who’ve refused to bow and scrape before him is a full-on fascist agenda. And he knows it (the man watches a lot of TV.) He just believes it will work for him.

This is a person that has about a 40% approval rating among GOPers.

Are amazed yet?

Closing Thought–01Aug22

We all know that Trump is a pain in the ass of American society and then there are his cronies in Congress……the very voices of the Trump insurrection. Ever wonder just who is funding these toads and destroyers of the republic we say we love?

If you have ever wondered then the old Professor can help you understand.

In the month of June, as the House January 6 committee revealed alarming new details on former President Donald Trump’s coup attempt, corporate trade groups and Fortune 500 companies donated more than $819,000 to the Republican members of Congress who voted against certifying the 2020 election results.

That’s according to a new analysis provided to Common Dreams by the watchdog organization Accountable.US, which has been tracking corporate contributions to the so-called “Sedition Caucus”—the group of 147 Republican lawmakers who, just hours after the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, voted to overturn the 2020 election in an attempt to help Trump maintain his grip on power.

Accountable.US shows that since January 6, 2021, corporate trade organizations and the political action committees of top individual companies have donated a total of $21.5 million to Sedition Caucus members including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La.), and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).

Those three lawmakers are among the 23 GOP members of Congress set to join Trump this week at the America First Policy Institute Agenda Summit, an event led by a think tank aligned with the former president. Trump is slated Tuesday to deliver the keynote address at the Washington, D.C. summit, which has been billed as an effort to outline a right-wing agenda as the former president gears up for another run.

McCarthy and Scalise have been the top recipients of corporate donations since January 2021, bringing in $701,000 and $617,500 respectively from corporate interests, some of which made a show of condemning the January 6 attack and voicing support for the democratic process.

I read the list and will not use any product or service that these traitorous companies offer…..I may a small voice and may not make much difference but I will not let my money be part of the crap that Trump and his slugs spread.

You do what you think is right….just remember your country deserves better from its elected officials and the companies that depend on the nation for their protection.

If you are interested in where and who donates to Congresws then I have a site for you…..

Shedding light on the Fortune 500 corporations and big corporate lobbyists funding the 2020 Election objectors since January 2021—including those that broke their promises not to donate to their campaigns.

Protect Manhood

Feminism had brought out the envy from some males. Even to the point of a Male Liberation movement….still working on that one…..I mean males have been the controlling general of society for so long and they are now running scared.

Even a US Senator has jumped on this stupidity…one Josh Hawley…..

Joshie boy wants to step the stage for his presidential run in 2024…..and he is thumping his frail chest on manhood……

Conservative Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri opened a fresh battle in the culture wars with a defense of masculinity, arguing that the left is turning young men into wimpy creatures addicted to porn and video games. That, in turn, triggered a backlash against the 41-year-old. Coverage:

  • The speech: Hawley addressed the National Conservatism Conference over the weekend and addressed the “future of the American man.” You can read it in full via the Federalist. He complained that liberals “want to define traditional masculinity as toxic. They want to define the traditional masculine virtues—things like courage and independence and assertiveness—as a danger to society.”

Big line: “Can we be surprised that after years of being told they are the problem, that their manhood is the problem, more and more men are withdrawing into the enclave of idleness and pornography and video games?” asked Hawley, who’s expected to vie for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024. (The Trump supporter famously raised a supportive fist to protesters in DC on Jan. 6.)

Counterpoint: At the Independent, Noah Berlatsky disagrees with Hawley’s take on masculinity, but he also sees a lot of hypocrisy in the criticism. Calling Hawley a wimp plays into the very stereotypes that these critics typically rail against. “Whether Hawley is a bad masculine manly man by his own standards is irrelevant,” he writes. “What is relevant is that those standards themselves are malignant and dangerous. Don’t let Hawley trick you into using them.”

Another wedge issue….just once I would like to hear a policy coming from the lying lips of a GOP candidate.

And the GOP malignancy continues to grow in the party of ignorance and lies.
