A Cure For Homelessness

The weekend begins I will be posting little as it is Spring and the garden needs attention….

There is at least one person that thinks that Hitler was a good example for a cure to homelessness.

A Republican lawmaker in Tennessee stunned his colleagues Wednesday when he shared the story of a homeless man who turned his life around—Adolf Hitler. During a debate on a bill banning homeless encampments on public property, State Sen. Frank Niceley told lawmakers he “wanted to give a little history on homelessness,” Fox17 reports. “In 1910 Hitler decided to live on the streets for a while,” he said. “So for two years Hitler lived on the streets and practiced his oratory and his body language and how to connect with the masses. And then went on to lead a life that got him in the history books.”

“So, a lot of these people it’s not a dead end. They can come out of these homeless camps and have a productive life, or in Hitler’s case a very unproductive life.” In Mein Kampf, the Nazi leader said his anti-Semitic and German nationalist view developed during the years he was homeless in Vienna. Critics said Niceley was wrong about history—Hitler ended up homeless through poverty, not choice—and wondered why on Earth Niceley would consider him an inspiring example, the Washington Post reports. “I’m going to have to apologize to the universe for this guy,” tweeted Democratic state Rep. Gloria Johnson.

The bill, which criminalizes camping along highways and exit ramps and makes it illegal to camp on public or state property, passed 22-10, with Niceley voting in favor. Critics argued that the bill criminalized homelessness itself, perpetuating the cycle of poverty, WCYB reports. As for Niceley, he has a long history of controversial remarks, the Post notes. In October, he said the shift of companies like Ford to the South shows the Civil War “is going on, and we’re winning.”

When I first read the title of this article my first thought was….yes he did….it was called concentration camps.

That Texas Education

If you want to feel good about your white privilege then Texas will be the place for you and your children…..if ever there was revisionism in our educational system then look NO further than the state of Texas.

Where to begin with this?

The Texas state Senate has passed legislation that would repeal requirements to teach the history of white supremacy and the ways “in which it is morally wrong,” among other lessons pertaining to prominent people of color and women.

The Republican-led upper chamber passed the measure, known as Senate Bill 3, in a 18-4 vote on Friday.

The legislation now awaits consideration in the House, also led by Republicans, where Democratic lawmakers left earlier this month to deny their colleagues on the other side of the aisle the quorum necessary for a special legislative session in an effort to block a sweeping elections bill.

This bill would also tackle the KKK …..

In a new political low in Texas, the Republican-dominated state Senate has passed a bill to eliminate a requirement that public schools teach that the Ku Klux Klan and its white supremacist campaign of terror are “morally wrong.”

Critics say the state is promoting an “anti-civics” education.

Senate Bill 3 — passed last Friday 18-4 — drops most mentions of people of color and women from the state’s required curriculum.

That includes eliminating a requirement that students be taught the “history of white supremacy, including but not limited to the institution of slavery, the eugenics movement, and the Ku Klux Klan, and the ways in which it is morally wrong.”

But there is so much more in Senate bill 3……

The Texas Senate approved a GOP-backed education bill backed on the moral panic against the so-called critical race theory that eliminates any requirements for public schools to teach students about Martin Luther King Jr., the Ku Klux Klan, women’s suffrage, and a number of topics related to the Civil Rights movement.

Presently, Texas law requires that public school teachers adequately instruct their students on “the history of white supremacy, including but not limited to the institution of slavery, the eugenics movement, and the Ku Klux Klan, and the ways in which it is morally wrong.”

However, the bill, advanced on Friday along with an 18-4 vote in the Republican-led Texas Senate, will effectively give school districts the choice to shape their own history curriculums. S.B. 3 falls in line with the broader conservative push to abolish educational mandates on what history teachers can and cannot teach in the classroom.

In case anyone would like to read the entire bill then look no further than here…..

Granted this has not become law yet….but there is an excellent chance that Abbot will have this bill on his desk soon.

Sorry but this is pure revisionism….and basically teaching hate….

I am so glad that my child graduated before this type of bullsh*t became the norm.

Plus this will be a template for other Red States and their brand of made-up history.

I heard an ad for something that states the “you cannot re-write history”….that is pure BS….some one should tell Texas and other idiot Red States…..

More Revisionist History

College of Political Knowledge

Subject:  History

We here in the US know all too well the diatribes by Glenn Beck….his continuing disrespect of the president, his far fetched comparisons, his chalk board and his weeping…(is there a Weepers Anonymous?  If  so, I have at least two candidates for the program)….to me he is a scary individual….but recently he became more scary….he proposes writing a history book to set all the misinformation straight…….here are a few of his “historical” facts…..

6,000 BC: God creates entire planet just for America.

27 BC: Caesar Augustus becomes first person to employ the Obama Doctrine.

1 AD: First Founding Father born.

c.1790: America achieves racial harmony.

1912: President Woodrow Wilson single-handedly proposes, passes, and ratifies 17th Amendment.

August 2, 1923 – October 28, 1929: American economy completely healthy.April 12, 1945: America catches a lucky break with death of President Roosevelt.

1968: Four British social activists release two-part treatise on progressive plot to overthrow society, commonly known as The White Album.

Just a bit of the revisionism that Beck wants to bring to the people and probably will become a best selling author, again, and the mental deficits will believe his slant on history……there is so much more go to site and see where he is going with his “history” lesson………mediamatters.org/blog/201010190…..

The sad part is that there are people today who will buy into his brand of revisionism and will most likely gain more converts if this book is actually written……
