A pair of House Republicans are pushing to have Charlie Kirk memorialized on U.S. currency in the wake of his assassination earlier this month.
Republican Study Committee Chairman August Pfluger, R-Texas, and Rep. Abe Hamadeh, R-Ariz., plan to introduce a bill later this week directing the U.S. Treasury to mint 400,000 silver dollar coins with Kirk’s likeness, the pair first told Fox News Digital.
It’s the latest proposal in a litany of bills and resolutions introduced by Republican lawmakers to honor the conservative activist after he was shot and killed during a college campus speaking event in Utah earlier this month.
The coins, which would be considered legal tender, would have Kirk’s image on one side and feature the words “well done, good and faithful servant” on the other.

He made the announcement on social media, writing that he was directing the Department of Defense to “provide all necessary Troops to protect War ravaged Portland,” at the request of Homeland Security chief Kristi Noem, per the AP. “I am also authorizing Full Force, if necessary,” Trump wrote.

The diverse coalition of supporters of Health Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. includes several anti-vaccine activists who have long spread debunked claims that immunizations are responsible.

Massive banners of President Donald Trump’s face adorning the exteriors of federal buildings in the nation’s capital have led some Democratic lawmakers to draw comparisons to the kind of overt displays of authoritarian propaganda under leaders such as Kim Jong Un, Benito Mussolini and Saddam Hussein.
The banners were installed on the buildings of the Departments of Agriculture, Labor, and Health and Human Services in Washington D.C. They have cost taxpayers at least $50,000, according to a new oversight report released by Democratic Senator Adam Schiff’s office this week.
“Dictators throughout history have used oversized portraits to convey their power and intimidate their subjects,” the report said. “In addition to the waste of taxpayer funds, the Trump Administration’s propaganda banners prompt troubling questions about whether the Trump Administration is deliberately modeling itself after authoritarian regimes.”

Another insider added: “No one could say no to him. If Trump wanted fast food at 2am, the Secret Service would fetch it. The room smelled of fries and fried chicken by morning. For staff who are used to military precision and spotless suites, it was beyond the pale.”

There is something very wrong about Kirk’s wife. She treated his memorial function like her own pop concert, and since then has been podcasting, giving interviews, and appearing everywhere smiling and happy. I get the feeling they are going to get her to run for office of some kind soon, almost partying on Charlie’s grave. Everything about Trump’s state visit to Britain was wrong, but not unexpected. Of course he would order fast food, despite having eaten a banquet, and of course he would leave a terrible mess behind and stain the bedding. Melania had her own room throughout.

Melania is the smart one. She distances herself as much as is humanly (and humanely) possible, and it’s obvious she wants next to nothing to do with her husband. I watched a clip some time ago when he tried to take her hand and she slapped it away. you go, girl.
Trump may have money, but the brains have leaked away. The toadies that bear him up are the ones I feel sorry for, and yet only a bit. Methinks he will not be entertained at the Palace again…
Money does not guarantee class, nor intelligence. Trump has neither. There is a book I read once, called “The Women’s Room” and in it there is one marvelous passage where one of the filthy rich women (you know the kind) is at a dinner party, and she puts her cigarette out in the butter dish. ow.

if I find one dime, one coin, one bit of loose change with anything on it resembling Charlie Kirk, Im giving it back. Silly season indeed. We have all lived to see PRESIDENTS assassinated, or died in office, and not one of them has gotten much more than a coin that no one uses. The ‘Kennedy Dollar’ comes to mind, but who the hell carries those things around, anyway? And these days we use very little cash anyway. I can’t remember the last time I actually paid for anything with paper or coins…it’s interesting, and fairly disturbing, that a small time rabble rouser is moving closer to sainthood, and no his death was not an assassination. He was shot. Period. As Ive said before, kings, popes, men of power and stature are assassinated. Not small time dudes like this. Frankly the first time I ever heard his name was when he was shot.
Sorry, this stuff is just getting on my nerves. And Trump isn’t helping. He does stir that pot so well…
