Closing Thought–09Apr24

I hope everyone that participated in the viewing of the eclipse used protection….if not then you will have a hard time reading this post.

There some things that have been proven to be true and yet there is a portion of the population that refuses to believe…..(you gotta love misinformation….proponents have done a helluva job)

Here are a few of the facts that some still refuse to believe….

Scientific discoveries are being made all the time, and things that may once have been thought of as fanciful have now been proven to be real. Although debate still rages about things like whether the Earth is flat or round and whether the moon landings happened, there are some things that science has proven beyond doubt, but some people still won’t believe.

An online community discusses scientific findings that still split public opinion and have those who refuse to accept.

Some good stuff in that article.

  1. I agree with the points raised in the linked article, but it was a struggle to read it, with all the constant pop-up ads. So, I conclude that, ‘Pop up ads are annoying’!

And that is also scentific fact. ☺

    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. I could add a few more to the list.

Coffee is actually good for you. People who consume at least 2 – 3 cups of coffee a day are far less likely to die from any cause than people who don’t. It seems to help to prevent some types of dementia, etc. Milk (at least cow’s milk) is not good for you. Any nutirients you might get from milk can be easily obtained from other sources. It doesn’t help improve bone health. Some studies indicate that people who drink large amounts of milk actually experience a greater number of fractures than those who don’t drink any. Breakfast is not the most important meal of the day. Stretching before exercise doesn’t really do anything to prevent injuries. Your diet has little or nothing to do with your cholesterol level.

The list goes on and on.
