We start another shorten work week with news about the Trump clown show….it seems the judge in Georgia will allow his trial to be streamed live on YouTube….
When former President Trump goes on trial in Georgia, the world apparently will be able to follow along on YouTube. The judge presiding over the case ruled Thursday that the proceedings will be live-streamed on the court’s YouTube channel, reports WSB-TV. Other media outlets will be allowed to have cameras in the courtroom as well, said Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee, per Atlanta News First. The judge’s ruling came amid a flurry of other developments on Thursday, the most prominent of which was Trump pleading not guilty to charges he and his co-defendants illegally tried to overturn the 2020 election results in the state.
The former president’s legal team also asked the judge to sever Trump’s case from some of the other defendants in the case, per the AP. At least some of the other 18 people charged have requested an expedited trial—perhaps as early as October—and Trump’s legal team says it would be impossible to prepare for a trial that quickly. Whether all 19 will be tried together remains a huge question in the case, along with whether the proceedings might be moved from state court to federal court.
Is it just me or does this idea sound a bit crazy?
I think this will give lots of ammunition to the MAGA maggots in their journey to destroy the credibility of the legal system in this country.
We have a defendant that likes to play to the camera and turns everything into a clown show.
What is this judge thinking?
So I ask again is this really a good idea?
Any thoughts you would like to share?

Agree…while people will hear tin detail the egregious nature of his disregard for the rule of law, it will become a circus just as the OJ trial was and we know that that turned out…
It will be an interesting thing in the beginning but will devolve. chuq
I am quite sure.. more than anything.. the judge knows what he is doing, and I would reliably surmise that his intent is to share with America the actual proceedings for a measure of judicial transparency. I am sure he knows full well the possible theatrics that might come into play, not only from Trump, but also his lawyers. To that end.. I am quite sure the judge plans to control his courtroom quite efficiently so as to keep order. One thing I am pretty sure Trump will not do is stand up and shout down each and every witness. I believe that since he has spent so little time ever in his life INSIDE a courtroom, he will hold respect for judicial authority simply because he can’t control it… and a judge is absolute in a courtroom. This doesn’t mean his body language will be shut down, nor does it mean he won’t be leaning over to talk to his lawyers. So far all I have witnessed is that the courtroom is the one place where Trump himself actually wimps out. He’s seen enough TV to know what judges can do to shut someone up. He wants nothing to do with a jail, hence a natural fear of being in contempt.\
His lawyers will attempt EVERY little thing they can conceive of to slow down/delay proceedings. I am quite sure the judge, as well as the prosecution, anticipates that. As for the world watching… this will be a supreme illustration of American justice in action.. the trial of a former American president. As I have been posting on Conservative blogs…. each and every time the Constitution is utilized in the pursuit of justice, criminal or civil, is a fight to keep it alive.. to defend it. In effect, you use it or lose it. This might be the Constitution’s finest hour.
I hope your desires are true…I just am not that certain. chuq
It’s a brave new world and we don’t know where the hell it’s going.
I still do not think this is a good idea….social media will light up chuq
We are dealing with a slimy worm on a slippery slope.
A whole can of them could be opened. chuq
One slimy son of a b**ch IS a whole can of slimy worms…all by himself.
“slimy” is a good way of putting it. chuq
