Warnings From The Past

We were warned about the rise of the Military-Industrial Complex by and outgoing president, Ike…….

Of course you do not because it was so long ago that we tend to remove such stuff from our minds…..so let me refresh your lagging brain….

Ike handed over the reins of government to JFK and he also had a warning for the country at large…..in 1961….

We have been warned decades ago by US PresidentJohn F. Kennedy who gave a speech on the dangers the globalists pose to us all before the American Newspaper Publishers Association on April 27, 1961:

It requires a change in outlook, a change in tactics, a change in missions–by the government, by the people, by every businessman or labor leader, and by every newspaper. For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence–on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific, and political operations.

Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed. It conducts the Cold War, in short, with a wartime discipline no democracy would ever hope or wish to match

Globalist?

someone who believes that economic and foreign policy should be planned in an international way, rather than according to what is best for one particular country.”

We did not listen to Ike and we refused to listen to JFK.

Money flows out of the country to further some misguided bullsh*t…..

Our country needs so much work so it really does not need a military functioning in 82 countries or propping up some failing system in some dark corner of the globe.

Yes I believe the policies of this country should interact with others but we should not be bankrolling every minor conflict that arises…..shades of the old “Domino Theory” (now there is a post for another day.)

  1. I remember the slogan, the United States is the policeman of the world.
No wonder most of the countries hate us. We always sticking our nose where it doesn’t belong.

  2. I was born in 1952, and since then all I have seen is America and Russia forcing their views and systems on other countries throughout my life. The UK was guilty of that too of course. Very little has changed.
    Best wishes, Pete.
