  1. Lobotero,

It’s precisely this sort of foolishness that give credence to the notion that liberalism is the lifelong temper tantrum of indignant children.

Old white men are not solely responsible for the Republican sweep in 2010, nor solely responsible for the GOP hanging onto the House in 2012.

Furthermore, Romney received more support among married women than did Barack Obama. Second, I’m 27 and voted for Romney. My wife is 27 and voted for Romney. I know many young people that voted for Romney. All educated, by the way.

Conservatism is not dead – at all. It never will be. When it comes roaring back – and it will – the liberal wet-dream will be over, and you guys will be sporting the same despondent look you did in 2000 when Bush beat Gore.

I’d also add that Obama won for a lot of reasons. One of which is that despite his policies, he’s a very likable guy. I like Obama. I don’t like his politics, but I like him. I love his speeches. He is the best speaker I’ve ever heard. And despite my rhetoric, I was on the fence as recent as three-months ago. It wasn’t until Romney chose Ryan that I decided, once and for all, to vote for Romney. The same could be true for other conservatives, only Ryan wasn’t enough for them.

Either way, the Republican Party, and conservatism especially, is nowhere close to dead. It will come roaring back. And when it does, I’d love to be there on election night to see your faces.

    1. Now if you want to ask me if Republicans should do more to carry Hispanics, my answer is yes. But believing that Republicans didn’t connect with Hispanics in 2012 is a far cry from believing that only old white men vote Republican.

Second, I congratulate you guys on your candidate being reelected. I’m not a sore loser. I’m happy the political process worked. I’m happy that the election is over and we can get on to repairing the country.

I’m also 100% behind Obama in his effort to convince Republicans that the Bush tax-cuts should expire on those making more than $250,000-a-year. If I had my druthers, it’d be a million a year, but I can live with $250,000. I’m ready to see Republicans and Democrats work together to fix things. I’m supporting Obama right now.

But make no mistake, conservatism will return triumphantly.

    2. I do not believe that I said it was dead…..and the cartoon is about the core voters……you may not like it but it is damn true, at least in my state….I will have to take your word for your state…….

And yes the GOP needs work, but putting Rubio on a ticket does not mean they have gained Hispanic support……I think Rubio would get Cuban support but I do not think that other Latinos will be that easy….

Sorry if you think it is a tantrum of some sort……if facts are a tantrum then I guess I will plead guilty….

      1. Lobotero,

Consider what you’re saying, for crying out loud. If what you say is true, then it must be true that the Democrat Party’s core voters are uneducated blacks from the ghetto.

        Geez.
