Yep, that time again….when I give some of my thoughts from notes made looking for subjects for my blog posts…..I spend a wealth of time in thought and making notes that could be posts but for some reason they just do not make it……and then some are just weird sh*t that pops into my brain from time to time…….
1–Manly Nuts? A new Planters PR blitz tauting the healthy side of one of their nut mixtures….just saying…..
2–The brother in law of Holland’s Queen Beautrix recently said….”“People will accuse me of going too far. But to be honest, that’s an easy thing to say if you do not know the facts. My eyes have been opened by seeing these problems. They came as a shock. You can see that these parents need help, since they’ve no control over their own lives. When it’s clear that’s the case, perhaps contraception would be the best step.” Does that sound a tad bit racist?
3–My state once again has made the top of a list…..leads the nation with 55 teen births per 1,000 girls, and abstinence is the preferred method of contraception…..someone is NOT listening!
4–Another Southern state has passed a new law that makes little sense (but why is that unusual?)….this time it is Tennessee….Now, Tennessee has passed a law that says “Underage hand holding is a gateway to sexual conduct.”
Last week, the Senate passed SB 3310, a bill to update the state’s abstinence-based sex education curriculum to define holding hands and kissing as “gateway sexual activities.” Just one senator voted against the legislation; 28 voted in favor.
Since the bill specifically bans teachers from “demonstrating gateway sexual activity”, educators would be prohibited from even demonstrating what hand-holding is. Breaking these laws could result in a lawsuit.
5–It is disgusting when candidates, any candidate, uses the veterans as a political prop! It is also DISGUSTING to ask them to go to war and then turn our backs on them when they come home….it is SHAMEFUL!
6–OMG! The Beach Boys will have a reunion tour! Have you seen these guys? They have faces for radio…I suggest that they stay in the studio and make CDs…..they give a whole new definition to the term “geriatric rock”…….
7–What does a Scientology wedding ceremony look like?
8–Romney has a “pro growth” agenda….what does that entail? Since I have heard no solid policy I am just curious.
9–I am told that the American people are suffering because there is no budget…..why is that …exactly?
10-We have a truth in advertising law…..why does it not apply to political ads?
11-Does our obsession with beauty and the perfect body sound at all familiar? (I will pause here for thought) Does anyone remember the museum in the 30’s in Germany that was dedicated to the body and beauty? The Nazis had this thing about beauty and the body.
12-If there were a DNA test for gay in a fetus…..what would be the decision made by all these so-called religious groups?
There they are a few of the thoughts that went from brain to notes but were not quite good enough for a post………any thoughts?
