  1. Great awards! I can see how Americans might see her that way, but I do think she’s right and she’s NOT a quitter…

In my opinion, she is fighting for one thing and one thing only – it’s her single purpose in life and she follows it relentlessly. It is the most important thing in her world and she will NEVER stop following that goal.

So I think the award is not entirely deserved.

So there you have it… my opinion.

What? Oh… yes… sorry… the single, all consuming focus of Sarah Palin’s life? Sarah Palin of course! 😆

    1. Hi Chris…and thanks I will be posting it and giving you credit for it….anytime yoy find something that sounds anal, well most politicians sound anal, let me know…..

  2. This is a bit off topic, but it seems appropriate with all this talk of arses…

Years ago a friend of mine suggested that the ungrounded fear that some heterosexual men feel toward homosexual men should become the basis for a new Freudian category. Alongside anal-retentive and anal-expulsive, he suggested the category of “anal-vulnerable” be added, to describe the intense fear of rape from behind and excessive attempts to avoid situations where this might break through from the imaginary into reality (showers, gym locker rooms, Army pup tents). He also suggested this might explain the weird way in which many mens public toilets are subdivided into separate stalls, and, in some countries, stalls within stalls.

Of course Zizek talks about toilets in a slightly different sense, but I was glad to find, just recently, an essay by a British critic, Lee Edelman, titled ‘The Epistemology of the Water-Closet,’ in which he proposes a similar addition to Freud. Anyway, there it is.
