UFOs And Schumer

Ask yourself why!

The big news is that a bi-partisan group will push for the government to make UFO information public (except when national security would prevent it)….

This is not a joke!

I am serious!

Over the last six years, the entire UFO topics has shifted from conspiracy theory to suddenly the U.S. Government accepting the objects in the sky are real but they don’t know what they are. On Thursday, the New York Times finally addressed the latest developments in the story with a breaking news update that could send this issue to a whole new level. Before this update, there were already a number of U.S. Senators who kept on appearing in news shows and pushed for public hearings after the recent whistleblower claims from David Grusch. But the highest-ranking senator just turned this story on its head by tweeting the New York Times Story on his official Twitter account. According to the report, Schumer is officially going to push legislation that will attempt to declassify UFO documents.

In the legislation, the Senate Majority Leader will also force private companies to present every bit of important information that deals with “extraterrestrial matters”. That phrase was written by the article author in the New York Times, making it the first time that terms is coined by one of the highest authority news organizations in the world. Here’s what Chuck Schumer wrote on his official Twitter account: “I’m introducing new legislation to declassify government records related to unidentified anomalous phenomena and UFOs as an amendment to the NDAA, modeled after the JFK Assassination Records Collection Act.” This legislation will have bipartisan support, according to the New York Times.

Seriously?

What are the chances that this will pass?

Slim to none…..

Sorry but if this is the best we can do for bi-partisanship then all is lost.

You telling me these slugs could not find something more important than is ET stopping by for a joy ride?

This country is circling the drain and we are going to waste time and resources worrying about something that holds no importance to the grand scheme of things.

We have national hunger…..a failing infrastructure….a government that cannot function without the cash of lobbyists….rights are being eroded away…..and finally lazy politicians who can be bought and sold.

And you think this country can be saved from itself….I have my doubts.

Closing Thought–15Jan21

UFOS!

THere has much speculation on what the US government knows about so-called UFOs.

Is there a cover-up?

The CIA has finally released some documents to the public.

Want to know the Central Intelligence Agency’s lowdown on UFOs? If you’ve got the time and the curiosity, download every single file that’s in the public domain, because they’re now available for the taking. Motherboard reports that, after years of behind-the-scenes wrangling, declassified-docs repository the Black Vault has opened an archive where anyone can browse and download PDFs of CIA intel on unidentified aerial phenomena (the agency’s fancy alt name for unidentified flying objects, or UFOs), some of them stretching back to the ’80s. Black Vault founder John Greenewald Jr. says he started filing Freedom of Information Act requests for some of the files back in 1996, and the CIA finally acquiesced, as well as on other previously unreleased records, placing them all on a CD-ROM that Greenewald bought from them sometime last year.

t was like pulling teeth,” he tells Motherboard of his efforts to get the files. The New York Post notes Greenewald’s obsession with filing FOIAs with the CIA and getting his hands on such documents began when he was a teen. Users can either download the entire intel collection as Greenewald originally received it from the CIA (though he says those TIF files are “incredibly difficult” to sift through, as they’re not searchable) or as an easier-to-use file, created by him converting the original TIFs to PDFs. The files can also be downloaded individually. The CIA insists this is everything they’ve got on the matter, though Greenewald notes on the Black Vault site we can’t know if that’s really true. If it actually isn’t, Greenewald is on the case. “Research by the Black Vault will continue to see if there are additional documents still uncovered within the CIA’s holdings,” he vows on his site.

This should give the Ancient Alien crowd something to do….before they spin it in their direction.

It’s A Hurricane….But Nor Barry!

An apprehensive Saturday.

But the storm Barry is not the meat of this post…..

As we here on the Gulf Coast await the season’s first Hurricane/ T. Storm I read something in the news that caught my eye…..

It seems that some tin foil hat wearing expert thinks UFOs use hurricanes to enter into their secret underwater base…..

A UFO expert claimed that a satellite footage of a hurricane showed a fleet of alien vessels flying into its eye. According to the expert, the UFOs deliberately created the hurricane in order to secretly enter their underwater base.

The satellite footage of the storm was recorded and shared by YouTube user MRMB333. According to the user, the hurricane happened during the recent total solar eclipse on July 2.

In the video, strange dark orbs can be seen entering the hurricane and converging into its eye. According to the YouTube user, the dark circles could be the reflections of the shadow on Earth that was caused by the eclipse.

I am starting to see more and more of this type of silly story in the news…..it is troublesome that so many are starting to believe the manure spread by these babbling buffoons….that our ancestors were not intelligent enough to progress with the help of aliens (ET not Hispanics)….that is poppycock! (Excuse my language)

Back to the storm….looks like it will make land fall in the Louisiana lowlands….means we should get lots of rain and a bit of wind….but all should be fine for us….Louisiana may not fare as well.  Our thoughts are with those impacted by Barry.

MoMo is bummed!  And when she is bummed she watches the world go by waiting for the storm to pass.

More Alien Ammo!

The weekend and I would like to talk about something that has me concerned…..UFOs and the resurgent alien thingy…..

I am sure by now most everyone knows about the “Ancient Alien” theory that was started by von Daniken back in the 60s…..and now a whole new “interest” in the theory and they even have a “AlienCon”…….I want the “tin foil hat” concession.

The news has come out about the Pentagon and the AATIP…….a study that investigates ‘aerial” sightings…….

Every once in a while, a news item surfaces that prompts you to throw up your hands, sink back into your chair and begrudgingly welcome the impending apocalypse. The most recent item on this docket: A New York Times report confirming that between 2014 and 2015, Navy pilots reported “almost daily” sightings of unidentified flying objects lurking in the air, including one that resembled a “spinning top moving against the wind.”

Well, we had a good run, everyone! Time to pack it in.

According to the Times report, the sightings began in the summer of 2014, with Navy pilots reporting that they spotted the vessels nearly 30,000 feet in the sky while they were conducting training maneuvers between Virginia and Florida. Sometimes, they reported, the vessels reached seemingly hypersonic speeds. One of the Navy pilots even almost collided with one of the objects, which apparently (and justifiably) freaked him out so much that he issued an official incident report about it to the Navy. The sightings apparently grew so frequent that earlier this year, the Navy issued official guidelines for how to report “unexplained aerial phenomena.” To date, no official explanation exists for the sightings, though a Navy spokesperson did say that a few of them could have been unlicensed drones.

But please do not assume the Aliens are coming……

UFOs are very real, as we have recently seen — but that doesn’t mean E.T. has been violating our airspace.

“UFO” refers to any flying object an observer cannot readily identify. And pilots with the U.S. Navy saw fast-moving UFOs repeatedly off the East Coast throughout 2014 and 2015, in one case apparently nearly colliding with one of the mysterious objects, The New York Times reported earlier this week.

Those incidents were reported to the Pentagon’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), whose existence the Times and Politico revealed in December 2017. (Interestingly, those 2017 stories cited Pentagon officials as saying that AATIP had been shut down in 2012.)

On the other side of this debate……UFOs are real…now time to consider aliens……

A decade ago, two scientists published a paper on “the authoritative taboo on taking UFOs seriously.” Essentially, Alexander Wendt and Raymond Duvall put the issue down to a failure to accept a scenario—say, that aliens are visiting us on the regular—that would injure our anthropocentric view. But as Tufts University international politics professor Daniel W. Drezner writes at the Washington Post, our view of UFOs is slowly changing. “Official organs of the state are now acknowledging that UFOs exist”—the US Navy issued new guidelines about sightings earlier this month—”even if they are not literally using the term. They are doing so because enough pilots are reporting UFOs and near-air collisions so as to warrant better record-keeping.”

Indeed, Navy pilots reported numerous UFOs off the US east coast in 2014 and 2015. Several pilots have now spoken out to the New York Times, describing objects hitting hypersonic speeds from sea level to 30,000 feet with “no jet engine, no exhaust plume,” then making instantaneous stops and turns. “No one in the Defense Department is saying that the objects were extraterrestrial, and experts emphasize that earthly explanations can generally be found for such incidents,” reports the Times. For Drezner, that’s an indication that authorities are still unwilling to seriously consider extraterrestrial activity, no matter how unlikely. They’ll need to do that to fully debunk Wendt and Duvall’s theory, Drezner writes. If they do, “what happens to our understanding of the universe?” (Read his full piece here.)

This just adds to the ancient alien craze……

I will allow the “experts” debate this one….I just wanted to let my readers know…..an FYI post……

But what about a new ‘religion’ as it were?

Last week, the New York Times published a viral article about reports of UFOs off the East Coast in 2014 and 2015. It included an interview with five Navy pilots who witnessed, and in some cases recorded, mysterious flying objects with “no visible engine or infrared exhaust plumes” that appeared to “reach 30,000 feet and hypersonic speeds.”

No one is quite sure what they saw, but the sightings are striking. And they’re part of a growing fascination with the possibility of intelligent alien life.

According to Diana Pasulka, a professor at the University of North Carolina and author of the new book American Cosmic, belief in UFOs and extraterrestrials is becoming a kind of religion — and it isn’t nearly as fringe as you might think.
