Intifada for Dummies

I have been writing about the “intifadas” of the Palestinians….I was in the area when the first one was happening….December 1987……I witnessed some amazing bravery and gonads by the Palestinian protesters…..

Americans do not understand what or why the intifadas were important…..they were the people of the Occupied Territories trying to reclaim their heritage and their rights…..something most Americans could understand and would understand if it were anybody but Palestinians protesting Israel.

I have tried to explain as best as I can but I have fallen short on every occasion……I did find a good article by Ramzy Baroud that does the very thing that I tried……

What’s Going On In Palestine?

Every day the Western news media is telling us about the violence in the Occupied Territories…..most of those reports are one sided at best.  What we are told is the Palestinians are committing violence against Israelis….of course there is never any background to the violence so according to the reports the Palestinians are just prone to violence for no reason other than they hate Jews….a false belief!

Is that about what you hear and/or believe?

You know here is a thought……could there be another reason for the violence…..like Israelis are committed to eliminating the Palestinian any way they can?

You think that is a silly notion from the only “democracy” in the Middle East?

These are statement made by elected officials in Israel…..you decide…….

 

 

How would you like to be talked about in this manner?

Sadly this post will fall on deaf ears and blind eyes……but if it were me and I will be honest…..I would take it to the streets also……and so would you….even if you are too cowardly to admit it.

There Will Never be Peace In The Middle East

Today BiBi comes to Washington to be sure that the “dogs” still remember their obedience training …..and I would bet there will be little mention of the problems Israel is having trying to subjugate the Palestinians…..I’m sure it will all be ignored as “self-defense”….something that Israel will not allow the Palestinians to practice…..

Recently when asked about the chances of a peace deal in the Middle East Obama said……

President Obama “has concluded that a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians is beyond reach during his presidency and will press Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take steps to preserve the mere possibility of a two-state solution,” the Washington Post reports.

“The issue has taken on greater importance with the recent wave of stabbings carried out by Palestinians against Israelis, senior administration members said during a conference call with reporters about Netanyahu’s visit next week.”

“………Greater importance with the recent wave of stabbings carried out by Palestinians……..”?  WTF?

No mention has been made of the opposite side of the conflict……

IMEMC News: The Palestinian Health Ministry has reported, on Monday evening November 2, that 74 Palestinians, including 17 children and two women, have been killed by Israeli army fire, and more than 2355 have been injured, since October 1, 2015.

Somehow that stat is NOT important enough to mention……to be truthful…..there have been about 10 Israelis killed with others wounded…..

Can you see why the Palestinians could be a bit pissed?

The media makes it out as the Palestinians are the only ones that are committing crimes……did you know that a rock thrower now could be sentenced to 20 years in an Israeli prison?

At what point does the Western press stop pretending that they are unbiased?  Are they afraid of what will happen if they give the American people the truth or the real news?

The US needs to stop blindly supporting a country that is committing more crimes against humanity than the Russians…..

Can you now see why the world,  especially the Arab world,  has a dislike for American policies?

Yes We Have An Intifada!

Please take some time and learn about the situation developing in the Palestinian territories…….this is an event that the world would like to ignore….please do not let them win.

The Palestinians have decided enough is enough….after decades of the world ignoring their plight and the media only reporting news after a Jew is attacked or killed…..the people have taken it into their own hands to do something about an uncaring world…….

Intifada in English is translated as uprising, rebellion or resistance…….the Palestinians have had at least 4 in the history of the Palestine-Israel conflict…..

In the past I have tried to keep my readers abreast of the situation and alerted to the possibility of further violence and counter-violence…..but if you need a refresher course…..read my past post……

Recently the Palestinians have once again decided it is time for some real resistance and stop waiting for a fickle world to do the right thing…..we are having another round of violence….but this time the media and the world seems to be more alert to the situation……

This time around the Palestinian people are doing this on their own……it has not been the master plan of some leader……there was no master plan of what to do and what results were acceptable…..of course the media is running around trying to find the leadership so that they can get some type of scoop…..but there is a problem with this type of thinking…..NO one knows who to contact…..Two weeks into the outbreak of security clashes between Palestinians and settlers in Jerusalem, Palestinian factions have yet to step in and lead the popular uprising.

What I have seen in this edition of an intifada is that the Palestinians are doing things to get the Israelis to overreact…..so far it is working……because of the overreaction the media has become more involved than normal…..unlike past intifadas and even without leaders….the Palestinians are coordinating well…………..

This is a people that have been driven to violence…..below is the face of the conflict that the wold should remember…..a people mistreated into facing tanks with children…..

Time for the world to stand up to Israel and demand that they begin a withdrawal of Palestinian territories……and to end their genocidal tendencies…..

I have said that the Palestinians need to return to the days of the 1st Intifada….that was when children throwing rocks were met with armed IDF troops……gave the movement a boost and then from there on the answer was rockets and violence.

I understand why they resort to those tactics but they need to find a way to get to the people in other countries….most of which have seem their share of violence so any violence will fall on unsympathetic ears and eyes.

But all that could change….this one story could do more than a group of armed fighters……she should become the focal point of the movement.

Talk of a third Intifada: Where to from here, Palestine? | Middle East Eye

The tit for tat violence in the area around East Jerusalem has prompted some to call for a 3rd intifada….a popular uprising of Palestinians against the occupation, destruction and theft that Israel is perpetrating against the population of the territories.

Personally, I think it is a good idea…..but more on the lines of the 1st Intifada and not the mindless violence of the 2nd…………

Continuing my thoughts on the Middle East……..

We have a tentative deal with the Iranians on the possibility for a nuke deal that would make everyone happy….with the exception of Israel and we all saw that one conning….the Saudis are not real happy either but being the cowards they are they will go along to make all nice with its neighbors and that includes Israel…..

And now why it would be the perfect time….and for what…..

The Palestinians are calling for a third intifada…….. (a previous post of the day)…..a good idea as long as they hold to the conditions of the first and not the second…..now would be a good time for the Palestinians to push back on the violence against Israel….let the kids and civilians confront the IDF but the militants should just offer up protection and NOT go on the offense…..

Israel has been thumping its chest like a sex crazed primate over the deal the Iranians have almost agreed to with the rest of the world…..they, Israel, have even gone so far as to say they will attack Iran even if they must do it alone…..big words….and a play on the sympathies of the world for the deeds done to them in the past…..sorry, but that debt is paid and in full…they need to realize that and start acting like a civilized member of the world…..

If the Palestinians play their cards right and Israel keeps acting like the bully they claim everyone else is….then the possibility of a real and lasting intifada could swing most of the world to the plight of the Palestinians….the worsen plight at the hands of Israel and its unquenchable desire for more and more land, mainly for the construction of more and more settlements…..

If there is ever going to be a chance for a Palestinian state, an independent state, then the situation developing around the Iranian deal may provide fodder for the cause……

Palestinians need to assess the situation and if a third intifada is coming use it to the advantage of the Palestinian people, not the militants they will stop any progress made in its tracks…..and with their interdiction into the intifada will destroy any goodwill and sympathy that may have been formed because of the “peaceful” disobedience of the Palestinians…..

In my humble opinion….this could be the BEST chance the Palestinians have for a state of their own….yes, there are many factors that have to come together….but they are NOT impossible!
