You guys remember a couple of years ago when some random guy attempted to assassinate Donny and only nicked his ear…..remember that fateful day?
We all were given the defiant fist bumps of a ‘wounded’ soon to be leader and we were all so aghast.
I remember when I got my ear nicked at the barber shop and it bled a helluva lot more than Donny’s supposed assassination attempt. For that reason I have always been a bit skeptical about what really happened.
After all this time and the constant images even the MAGA faithful are starting to ask questions….
As Donald Trump’s MAGA base sours on him, some of them now think the 2024 assassination attempt on him in Butler, Pennsylvania, was staged.
Wired reports that this conspiracy theory started to take hold after Joe Kent, who resigned from the Trump administration over the Iran war, went on conservative pundit Tucker Carlson’s show and asserted without evidence that investigations into the shooting were halted before they were finished.
“If you don’t want to address that question, then you just go silent and say you can’t ask that question,” Kent, formerly the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, said. “Which then creates people who come out of nowhere and they start drawing their own conclusions.”
Kent noted that this would fuel conspiracy theories, and ever since his interview, that is exactly what seems to be happening within MAGA. Trisha Hope, who served as a delegate from Texas during the 2024 Republican National Convention, posted on X last week that “if you cannot look at this story, and use critical thinking skills and have at least some questions, you are the problem and we need you to snap out of it.”
“Since the attempt on his life, Trump has show [sic] no interest in investigating what really happened. He never mentions it, it’s as if it never happened, except when he tells us, he took a bullet for us,” Hope said in a long post.
Comedian Tim Dillon, who interviewed JD Vance on his podcast during Trump’s presidential campaign, said last week that he thinks “maybe it was staged,” adding that Trump should now say publicly that “some people are going to be upset by this, but we staged the assassination attempt in Butler to show people how important it was to vote for me and how far I was willing to go for them.”
Candace Owens, a far-right conspiracy theorist who has abandoned Trump, claimed on her podcast last week that Miriam Adelson, an Israeli-American billionaire and Republican donor, was actually behind the assassination attempt because Trump hadn’t followed through on a promise to allow Israel to annex the occupied West Bank.

I would like to hear the tale but we all know that Donny will never reveal what really happened for it would lessen him to those still worshiping at his crotch.

Former Georgia congresswoman and one-time Donald Trump ally Marjorie Taylor Greene has joined the disgruntled group of MAGA stalwarts raising questions about the assassination attempt on the president when he was running for office.
“President Trump, of all people, should be leading the charge” to determine all the facts of what happened that day in Butler, Pennsylvania, during a campaign speech two years ago, she noted on X. “Why isn’t he?” Greene demanded. “That’s the question.”

While I don’t give much credence to the entire “attempt on his life,” I hesitate claiming it was staged because of the person who was killed. Someone along the way suggested it might NOT have been a simple bystander, but to me that seems a bit overboard. In any event, like many other things connected to Donnie, we may never know the “truth.”
Nan my theory is the guy was after the one person that got killed and Donny just happened to get nicked. chuq
Not sure I follow you. Are you saying the shooter wanted to kill the guy in the audience? If so, from where they say the shooter was situated, how could the bullet have nicked Trump who was on the platform?

Sorry for my confusion … somehow I got the idea the guy who was killed was in the lower audience, but that was incorrect. Apparently he was seated in the stands behind Trump so it all makes sense now. However, I do agree that the “ear shot” story is a bit “over the top!”

We will never know the truth of this and I am wondering what happened to the guy who did the shooting? We never hear much about him do we?
He will spend his time in solitary and we will forget his name over time…..and that idiot keeps thumping his chest…..chuq
Crooks (the shooter) was killed at the scene by the Secret Service. That makes it seem even more like a staged event, as he can never tell his own story. “Crooks was subsequently killed by a member of the Secret Service Counter Sniper Team”. (Wikipedia)

The whole incident struck me as being very odd at the time, and I still have a lot of questions. Trump, as a former president and then as a candidate, had full Secret Service protection. There were agents, police and private security everywhere. So how the blazes did the shooter manage to get a rifle through all of the security, climb to the roof of a building in plain sight of secret service personnel and even snipers stationed around the area. I’m not entirely sure of what their security procedures are but I’d think there would be surveillance drones with high resolution cameras hovering over head as well. So that he was able to pull this off never made sense to me in the first place.

100% staged. There was no bullet injury visible on the ear, not at the time, or after the miraculous ‘grow-back’. And the shooter was allowed to get up on the roof and take his time, despite being seen by witnesses who were pointing up at him and reporting his presence to the police, and by Secret Service counter-snipers who were aware he was there. They then shot and killed Crooks so he could not be arrested, interviewed, and face trial. Just as Lee Oswald was killed by Jack Ruby before he could tell the truth about the JFK assassination. Anyone who believes Turmp was actually shot has never seen a gunshot wound, and also believes that part of an ear can ‘grow back’, leaving no scar.
