I read this yesterday and thought that it needed to be read more widely…..a loyal friend of IST, Calico Jack, has hit the nail on the head with this post.
Project 2025 and the GOP are working hand in hand to throw out the existing Constitution and rewrote it to favor their archaic ideas.

His blog is very difficult to read and I gave up … but if the intro you posted is an example of the contents, then yes. I agree. We simply MUST upset the cart (or at least put some obstacles in its path) with the mid-term elections.
Nan I agree but I am not confident that the Dems can do it….right now the vote seems to be ‘anyone but Donny’ and that will change little. chuqq

They’ve been trying to do this for decades as well. And if they ever do manage to call a constitutional convention, all bets are off. The entire Constitution would be open to modification. The only thing that might save us is that any changes the convention might make would still require approval of 38 of the 50 states.
That is my thinking as well….look at the ERA and the time it took….that would be probably longer. chuq
