I apologize for the tardiness of this post….it was suppose to be for Veterans Day but health issues made it take a back seat…..but it was a draft and I need to use it or lose it.
Trump has always made disturbing and hateful speeches but this one is one of his most disturbing….at least for me.
Trump’s speech brings back some memories from our not too distant past….and it should bring back the fear we had then.
In his Veterans Day speech on Saturday, former president Donald Trump used the language of Hitler and Mussolini to villainize and dehumanize non-MAGA people, calling them “vermin” and declaring that they are a greater threat to the United States than Russia, China or North Korea.
In response to Trump’s menacing words, The Lincoln Project issued a video comparing Trump to dictators and Meidas Touch posted a list of nearly identical statements made by Hitler and Trump:
Hitler: I will get rid of the “communist” “vermin”
Trump: I will get rid of the “communist” “vermin”Hitler: I will take care of the “enemy within”
Trump: I will take care of the “threat from within”Hitler: Jews and migrants are poisoning Aryan blood

“On a weekend when most Americans were honoring our nation’s heroes, Donald Trump parroted the autocratic language of Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini – two dictators many U.S. veterans gave their lives fighting, in order to defeat exactly the kind of unAmerican ideas Trump now champions. Trump doesn’t care about our troops or what they fought for – he thinks they’re losers’ for making the ultimate sacrifice defending our country from forces opposed to democracy and its ideals. On Truth Social, Trump posted:
“In honor of our great Veterans on Veteran’s Day, we pledge to you that we will root out the Communists, Marxists, Fascists, and Radical Left Thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our Country, lie, steal, and cheat on Elections, and will do anything possible, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America, and the American Dream. The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave, than the threat from within. Despite the hatred and anger of the Radical Left Lunatics who want to destroy our Country, we will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

A very long time ago I spent an entire semester in a class that traced the rise in power of the Nazi party and Adolph Hitler starting immediately after the conclusion of WWI up to the start of WWII. And what I see going on right now is frighteningly similar to how Hitler and the Nazi’s came into power, right down to almost word for word quotes directly from the speeches of Hitler, Goebbels, etc. They are adopting the same techniques, same rhetoric, same tactics, same propaganda techniques, all of it is virtually a mirror image of what happened back then.
I know….there is a book titled the Nazi Voter……about the rise of Hitler fascinating stuff…..chuq
Sickening that people still support this person – who has called veterans “suckers” for serving…anyone can find his words and video to back it up…he is the worst of us and is trying to tear our country apart for his own ego…
I agree he is the worse of us…but what about those that blindly follow….they are helping the US demise. chuq

He has certainly laid out his stall, and the threat is a real one, I have no doubt. But it would need the complicity of federal and law enforcement officers, as well as troops. You will have to hope that they refuse to comply. ‘Gilead’ is getting closer every day…

I’m on dialysis and use a walker, so they’ll send me to the left after abusing me verbally and with rifle butts. I get the deception about showers, having seen film of the Nazi camps, so will attempt to die with dignity before I get the ride on a gurney to the crematorium furnace.
That is a bit grim, but does Trump even understand the downside of his world view? Does he even care? Do the Trumpsters?
