Everyone in the media is jerking off over the new “information” that has come to light…….the Left is in the corner pouting and the Right has their joint (the member not the smoke) in their hands waiting for the other shoe to fall….
And then there are all the Right wing blogs….most of them have NO knowledge other than what Drudge tells them is fact……they ask questions but never the right ones….just the ones that feed into their moronic political agenda……
Questions need to be asked…..but try asking the ones that could put all this into some sort of perspective……
The story so far….the ambassador was concerned that they were under manned in security and he was concerned…..then he goes to the consulate in Benghazi where his team was attacked and the ambassador and 3 others are killed in an attack…that is the short version for those with limited attention….and then the stories of those concerned trying to explain what happened and why is being called into account……now we have some hidden sources that are saying that they were told to stand down when the attack was going on and the Congress is doing what they always do…..hold hearings.
The hearings will consist of each Rep or senator having his/her chance to ask questions and pat the whistle blowers on the back for coming forward……..and in the end no real questions will be asked….only questions that feed a certain political agenda….nothing else. The question will be who knew what, who said what and so on and on and on…….
It is a shame that any ambassador has to die on anyone’s watch……but the biggest question that should be asked if these witnesses are truly in the know is…….if the situation was as dangerous as all claim….why would the ambassador leave the security of the embassy and travel to a dangerous spot like Benghazi with a small detail? Why would he go in light if he was aware of how dangerous it was to be there?
I am sure that in the effort to discover the “truth” none of this will be asked or seem important……like I said these hearings are theater….political theater…..
Justice or Truth will not be served by these comical antics or absurd people trying to look effective…….
The Benghazi tragedy is the only thing the GOP has had that can’t be put to complete rest simply because there are still some grey areas. But rather than get at the heart of the matter objectively it appears, as you have pointed out, that they would rather create unfounded scenarios concerning those grey areas to fit their political agenda. If they didn’t have Benghazi they would have little else other than the fabrications that came out of the CPAC and NRA conventions.
Larry, they Right has already stated that if they bitch about Benghazi long enough the rest of the MSM would pick up on it…..and it is working….they are still NOT asking the important questions like I have said before…also have you noticed that the a/hats on the fringe will not debate people that use facts….insults are all they have and to me it is not an argument….
Someone is taking a hit for this one. Clinton avoided testifying by getting the sniffles and then bumping her head and other stalling tactics until she figured out the way to play this was to get all histrionic and crocodile tears and “WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?” It looks like that one is going to bite her in the ass.
Here’s the thing. The Clintons are the most deft political team I’ve seen in memory. They have a way of weaseling out of everything. Obama’s team is schooled in the Rahm Emmanuel school of Chicago politics which is as bare knuckle as anything the Clintons have done. This is going to be one of the finest red on red political fights we’ve seen in a LONG time.
U have no love for the Clinton, but this is a manufactured thing…..I think the only ones to get bit in the ass are the people that are turning this tragedy into something it is not….

Hillary knew first hand 30 minutes after the attack started that it was a terrorist attack.

I knew from day one that this had nothing to do with a “video”. I don’t drink anyone’s kool-aid, never have.
I am with you on the lying and that is all lying not just from a person from a different party.
If this was truly about getting to the bottom of some nefarious plot then they would be talking to everyone and that would in include the generals of the Africa command….but more important than that the question should be asked…if the ambassador knew the danger associated with going to Benghazi, why did he go with so little protection?
To me this is a lot of ‘what ifs’…..just like Iraq…I commended no one until more info was available,,,,I still think this is a political circus to keep from handling the problems of the country. The people that are going hungry could care less about Libya.

At this point, only the most naive or Democratic Party boot lickers are buying that this is just a Republican stunt. It just a crime that it took this long for people to do their jobs.
I will agree that it is all about the people you named….but what about the 4 people who died? It was not an email wording that got them killed…….and sorry but the hearings are a comedy….they are not asking the important questions….it is all about making someone look bad and not looking for answers to the deaths….it is all about politics not what is important…answers.
