America: Love It Or Leave It

A favorite of conservatives and other weak minded individuals…. at least decades ago.

An old tome from days of my youth is making a comeback….well at least in Missouri….I wish I had a nickle for every time some moron used that in an argument….if so I would be a rich man today.

But enough about me.

It seems that some cross-eyed Repub in Missouri has advice for black people….

On Monday (June 17), Valentina Gomez, who’s running for Missouri Secretary of State, shared a video on social media where she denounced Juneteenth as a “rachet holiday” and told Black people to “get the f*** out” of America.

“Reparations from slavery and Black victimization is about to be shoved down our throats for the most ratchet holiday in America,” Gomez said ahead of Juneteenth. “BLM [Black Lives Matter] raised millions. And what did they do for Black lives?”

“It is outrageous to see people ask you for reparations, even though they never went through slavery,” she continued. “These ungrateful people should be celebrating because they were born in the greatest nation to ever exist.”

“Here’s a tip,” Gomez added. “If you don’t like America, kindly, get the f*** out.”

Gomez, one of the candidates vying to become the GOP nominee for Missouri Secretary Of State in the August 6 primary, has been known to hurl homophobic remarks during her campaign. In Monday’s video, Gomez wore a shirt with the phrase “Don’t be weak and gay,” a callback to a remark she made earlier this year in a campaign ad.

Maybe Ms Gomez might want to re-think her stupidity for there is a chance since she is a minority that it might be used against her….(we can only hope)

I love these people…..actually it is more loathe than love….but that is beside the point.

This antiquated thinking needs to be put where it belongs….in the crapper.

But I guess conservatives and other half wits cannot think for themselves so they have to resurrect stupidity from the past.

On reparations….that is a tricky subject and no one has defined the parameters so to make a blanket statement is always ill advised.

Are Reparations Due?

There have been many examples of country’s seeking reparations for wrongs done to them…the Armenians are looking to Turkey for reparations…..Blacks in the South are seeking them…..on and on……but the one that I find the most ludicrous is what Israel is looking to do……. Israel is trying to get reparations for wrongs done to them in the distant past…..reparations if you will……

Reparations?  Just what the Hell?

1. The act or process of making amends for a wrong.
2. Something done or money paid to make amends or compensate for a wrong.
3. reparations Compensation or remuneration, as for damage or economic loss, required from a nation defeated in war.

Israel is seeking hundreds of billions of dollars in compensation from Middle Eastern countries where Jewish people fled or were expelled from.

The Jewish state has hired an unnamed international accounting company to estimate the damages it should seek per an expected US peace plan, according to a Hahadashot TV report.

Claims for assets in Iraq, Morocco, Syria, Egypt, Iran and Yemen are expected to reach $200 billion.

How will they accomplish this?  They cannot use the international courts for they do not accept their jurisdiction…..then how will they hope to accomplish their goals….they have very little good will in the world…just what would make the nations bow to the Israeli demands?
 
If the world recognizes Israel’s claims then the world should recognize the claims made by Palestinians.
 
If the US plan goes into effect…then the Palestinians will have a argument worth hearing…..what plan?
 
Israel’s Channel 13 has leaked what it says are the contents of President Trump’s “deal of the century” peace plan for Israel and Palestine. The report would grant the Palestinians a state that encompasses 85%-90% of the occupied West Bank.

The plan would be for Israel to keep its settlements, though no longer expanding isolated outposts. Moreover, the plan would mandate Israel evacuate any outposts which are illegal under Israeli law. That’s a big deal, because Israel has recently changed its own laws to facilitate retroactively legalizing a lot of these outposts.

The Palestinian capital would be in East Jerusalem, and the Palestinians would be given “most of the Arab neighborhoods” there. Some areas would also be jointly run by Jordan and Palestine.
