I am aware that Pelosi was the first woman speaker of the House and good for her but my disdain for her has nothing to do with gender.
She is now and has always been a big business Democrat that plays the game but is controlled and owned by special interests…..even her husband has made out because of her position.
But recently she pissed me off….she is calling on the FBI to investigate those of us calling for a ceasefire.
Her statement smacks of McCarthyism…..
Nancy Pelosi wants pro-Palestinian protesters calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war to be investigated by the FBI. During an interview on CNN Sunday, the former House speaker suggested (without evidence, as the New York Times notes) that some of the protesters could be Russian plants. “For them to call for a ceasefire is [Russian President Vladimir] Putin’s message,” Pelosi said. “Make no mistake, this is directly connected to what he would like to see. Same thing with Ukraine. It’s about Putin’s message. I think some of these protesters are spontaneous and organic and sincere. Some, I think, are connected to Russia.”
Asked to clarify her position, she said, “I think some financing should be investigated. And I want to ask the FBI to investigate that.” The national executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations decried Pelosi’s comments, saying they illustrate “the negative impact of decades of dehumanization of the Palestinian people by those supporting Israeli apartheid.” In a follow-up statement provided to CNN, a rep for Pelosi said the congresswoman is “informed by three decades on the House Intelligence Committee” and “acutely aware of how foreign adversaries meddle in American politics to sow division and impact our elections.” Meanwhile, during a Sunday appearance on NBC, Pelosi’s colleague Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said the protests show that “young people are appalled at the violence and the indiscriminate loss of life” in Gaza.
She is suggesting that protesters are somehow criminals and we need to be under surveillance….
Her words…..former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi charged that:

This is the same witch hunt crap that McCarty pulled in the 60s searching for the elusive Communists in the government.
Glad to see that she is still on the payroll of AIPAC….maybe there is where the FBI should focus their investigations….
In conclusion….
I will not stop and the FBI probably has my number already for I am in the system from my activities in the 70s (COINTELPRO program) for I live in the same house as I did then….I will be easy to find.

I am ashamed the she calls herself Italian. But her “business matters” aside, what infuriated me was her answer to the question about all the lawlessness, assaults on citizens and police, lootings and burnings, street warfare in summer of ’71 was “People do what they do”. She just dismissed the question and the events themselves as mere frivilous child’s play. Those lawless escapades and appropriating blocks of cities were 100 X worse than Jan 6 . That crap all summer was a REAL insurrection
We see her differently…..she is more GOP than Dem……you do not think that 06 January was lawless….trying to prevent the government from doing its job…..a 100X I canno0t agree with that. chuq
The point is that dems don’t consider the rampages in Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis anything but a hiccup. That was real insurrection and government take over. That a dozen states and over 900 cities have declared all federal law and immigration protocols null and void is actual government takeover. They are all equal to dozens and dozens of 1861 Ft. Sumter attacks. I’m sure some jackasses thought they were sporting a takeover on Jan 6 but I think that was democracy in the sense that we deplorables let them know “just who the hell do they think they are ? ” You think a bunch of yokels rushing the capitol armed with sticks and flags constitute an actual threat ? That’s just silly. If Trump was behind Jan 6 and thought he could pull it off is even more delusional fantasy. But the dems scream our nation was in peril but the summer riots and declaring federal law null and void are actual threats and actually successful takeovers of government but those things don’t count, eh ? Jan 6 was no more that a Saturday night college frat party in comparison. The nation was in jeopardy Jan 6 ? Ha,ha,ha – pulleeze.
They were armed with more than sticks and flags…..is that not what ‘state’s rights’ is all about….the only smiles from me is that the leaders are all going to prison after breaking the law and a trial. But this is enough we see that day differently. chuq

Yes, I see 1,850 arrested and prosecuted jail, fines but only 11 for threatening government operations seditious conspiracy. They’ll get hit hard but no one charged with insurrection or prosecuted for insurrection so if there are no issurrectionists how can Jan 6 be called an insurrection ? Maybe a dozen or two had real guns and they were charged and sentenced for being armed. They all deserved jail. Point #2 – Why has congress and law enforcement not called the very violent summer 1971 insurrections ? Point #3 – You don’t think sancturary cities and states declaring federal laws null and void and obfuscating federal law enforcement are insurrections ?

There are legitimate states rights “those reserved for states” and enumerated powers “those assigned to federal govt only”. When states circumvent the supremacy clause and declare they may dismiss, void, assume rights to be performed by federal government they have crossed the line. Some conflict may be complicated legalities that must be examined and decided, defined and ruled upon by by the federal courts. Others certainly deny the supremacy clause. I thought that crap got settled at Appomatox in 1865. So what do you call my examples 1,2 and 3 ? Certainly to be characterized as shennagans and tomfoolery is a bit “soft”.
We can debate this until the cows come home…..but I will not see break into the seat of our democracy as the same as stealing some tennis shoes…..or what immigrants have to do with any of this. chuq
