Big Man From New Jersey

Right on cue another warmongering politician has made the trip to Israel to report on the war…..and to keep his handlers donating.

This was a useless trip that will do no go.

All of the major Republican candidates for president have expressed support for Israel in its war against Hamas. On Sunday, Chris Christie became the first of them to go there, seeing the destruction left by Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack, including the blood-stained remains of homes, the New York Times reports. “I want the people of Israel to know that there are hundreds of millions of Americans who stand with them, who understand the atrocities that were committed, and why in the future we need to stand absolutely shoulder to shoulder with Israel,” Christie said at the Kfar Aza kibbutz, where he saw burned-out homes still splattered with blood.

The former New Jersey governor had meetings with Israeli leaders scheduled during his one-day visit, per the AP. Christie, who visited Ukraine in August, has made foreign policy a centerpiece of his GOP campaign. Accompanied on Sunday by the speaker of Israel’s parliament, Christie talked about the horror of walking into a home and encountering the smell of death still, a month after the attack. The protesters in the US calling for a cease-fire don’t reflect majority opinion in the nation, he said in his remarks. Christie said that if the demonstrators saw what he just saw, at least some of them would change their minds. “Come to Israel and see it for yourself,” he told them.

You think I am being hard on the Big Man?

After this statement he deserves every bit of criticism…..

Touring the grounds of Kfar Aza with officials on the invitation of the Israeli foreign ministry, Christie surveyed the grim scene of the now-destroyed kibbutz, situated less than 2 miles away from Gaza’s border. Israel Defense Forces said it was one of the first places Hamas militants laid siege to in early October, murdering and maiming dozens of Israeli civilians amid broader attacks that killed more than 1,200 people and resulted in roughly another 240 kidnapped — the status of many still unknown, according to Israeli officials.

As if Israelis are the only people suffering.

What a sanctimonious twat!

This was a typical PR stunt that American politicians play….they visit one side of a conflict and pass judgement on the whole thing without any knowledge whatsoever….not just politicians…..all Americans see and hear one side and pass judgement.

Christie is being an Israeli useful idiot…like most of his ilk.

His empty words are typical from Repubs and conservs that pretend to be liberal….they have lost all touch with empathy and dehumanize in order to pretend to care….they do not.

I was in the anitwar movement for many years and had to deal with mental midgets like this slug many times…..and make no mistake if you only observe one side then you are truly a mental midget.

If I had been one of those protesters I would have had to chime in and say….’when I let some person dictate my conscience then I will join the GOP….until such time piss off!   And while you wait….Bite Me!

  1. I know that a lot of people ignorantly choose sides in these kinds of conflicts. That is why the Allies were favored to root out the nazis during the 2nd world war– the marjority of civilized people decided to side against the nazis for some unknown reason and I am sure it was unfair of them to do so. And, of course, the poor german citizens had no idea of what the nazis were doing so in the following bombing, hundreds, perhaps thousands of poor innocent civilians were killed.
    Same shit, different day.

      1. If you are talking about his comparison then I say it is wrong….or the comparison with WW2 is just trying to deflect. chuq

  2. While the Hamas attack on Israel was horrific, costing so many innocent lives, the loss of Palestinian lives in Gaza is worse by a factor of ten in actual deaths and proportionately many times more as a ratio of deaths to total population than the loss of lives in Israel. It’s hard to justify either slaughter but is the best one can expect in an “eye-for-an-eye-a-tooth-for-a-tooth” world that is the so-called Holy Land. I hate to feel seemingly indifferent to the suffering on either side of the barrier but the problem is beyond solving as long as both sides have to kill the other to gain whatever they think is freedom.

    1. I agree….but until some sort of agreement is met this will continue and Israel just keeps making more and more HAMAS. Hope you are doing well chuq

      1. I mentioned that to an Israeli friend early on, before Israel began its retribution attacks. “I hope Israel doesn’t mishandle its response and just create the next generation of terrorists.” I got a cold response to that, something along the lines that I couldn’t be for Israel AND the Palestinians. Any decent person would descry the insanity of both the Hamas and Israeli actions. Hundreds of thousands of innocent victims suffer or suffered because of evil men.
