Hundreds of people protesting strict lockdown measures in Michigan ignored state directives on social distancing—and instructions from protest organizers—and gathered in front of the Capitol building in Lansing Wednesday. They were among thousands of people who came from across the state to clog Lansing streets in what organizers called “Operation Gridlock,” the Guardian reports. The protest against Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s stay-at-home order was organized by the Michigan Conservative Coalition. NPR reports that at least 200 people, some of them carrying rifles, got out of their vehicles to congregate around the building’s steps. The protesters, who were not wearing masks, chanted slogans including “Lock her up.”
“It doesn’t make any sense to be bankrupting companies and industries and not consider the resulting impact on families as part of the public health crisis in Michigan,” a spokesman for the coalition tells City Pulse. “We’re the most restrictive state in the union right now.” Whitmer expressed concern that the rally could have caused more coronavirus infections, meaning the lockdown could go on for longer.
Have you noticed those with the loudest desire for more deaths by opening up the country are from the GOP the very same people that deny climate change?

Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., told “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Wednesday that deciding when to reopen the economy amid the coronavirus pandemic is like choosing between “cancer and a heart attack.”
“The American people are not morons. They understand what I’m about to say,” Kennedy said Wednesday. “We’ve got to open this economy. If we don’t, it’s gonna collapse. And if the U.S. economy collapses, the world economy collapses. And trying to to to burn down the village to save it is foolish. That’s our cold, hard truth.”

I know we all have seen the loss of jobs caused by this pandemic….but did you notice that those workers working on farms may have the wages cut during this health crisis?
New White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows is working with Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue to see how to reduce wage rates for foreign guest workers on American farms, in order to help U.S. farmers struggling during the coronavirus, according to U.S. officials and sources familiar with the plans.
Opponents of the plan argue it will hurt vulnerable workers and depress domestic wages.
Maybe now is the time for the workers to unite and fight for their livelihood…..organize!

A Louisiana pastor who has drawn criticism for holding in-person church services despite coronavirus guidelines is asking people to donate their stimulus checks to evangelists who “haven’t had an offering in a month.”
In a video posted to YouTube on Wednesday, the Rev. Tony Spell called on the public to get behind a new online challenge he is dubbing the #PastorSpellStimulusChallenge.
There are three rules to the challenge, Spell said in the video. The first rule is that it starts on Sunday. The second, he said, is for people to “donate your stimulus money.”
“Rule number three,” he continued, is to “donate it to evangelists, North American evangelists who haven’t had an offering in a month; missionaries, who haven’t had an offering in a month; music ministers, who haven’t had an offering in a month.”
First this guy and any that thinks as he does can BITE ME! His concern is not for his flock but rather his wallet…..a man of GOD MY ASS!

These white-wingers are out here protesting for the ability to go and give their lives to save capitalism, even if it means a million people will die. They have no working class consciousness whatsoever. It’s rather embarrassing.

I’m hoping labor unions can become independent of the two major parties. The Democrats have consistently sold them out and the Repubs want to wipe them out of existence.
