There seems to be a disconnect between what Donny says and what is happening in the ground these days.  We are told that these are riots and all the news points to protests…..so far I have seen nothing that I would say is a riot.

But the reality on the ground be damn….Donny is going to push this fake riot bullshit for all it is worth….and in all 50 states and most territories.

The National Guard has begun setting up “quick-reaction” riot police forces in all the states, reports the Wall Street Journal and the Guardian.

  • Each unit will typically have about 500 Guard soldiers who will get specialized training in crowd control and the use of devices such as batons, Tasers, pepper spray, and body shields, according to Pentagon memos. They’re expected to be in place by January.
  • The new units—dubbed the National Guard Response Force—are expected to mobilize quickly: a quarter of the force within hours, half within 12 hours, and the remainder within a day. The District of Columbia as well as all US territories also will get the units.
  • While most state National Guards have quick-reaction relief teams for natural disasters, training for protest response is a new mandate, one described by the Journal as a “major shift” by the Pentagon, under the mandate of President Trump, to increase the military’s role in civil unrest.
  • The initiative has drawn criticism from some retired military officials, who warn it could blur the line between military and civilian roles. “Every American, I don’t care what state you’re from, should understand this isn’t what we signed up for,” retired Army Maj. Gen. Randy Manner tells the Journal. Janessa Goldbeck, a former US Marine Corps captain and chief executive of the nonprofit Vet Voice Foundation, tells the Guardian the order represents “an attempt by the president to normalize a national, militarized police force.”
  • A White House spokesperson suggested the concerns are overblown. “The president has lawfully deployed the National Guard to several cities either in response to violent riots that local leaders have refused to quell, or by invitation to assist local law enforcement as appropriate,” said Abigail Jackson. “President Trump and the entire administration is working to make America safe again.”

Why?

May I ask…..why do we need a special u8nit after all the military hardware that was sent to the states do we need a ‘special unit’?

So far any violence that I have seen has only manifested itself only after heavy handed tactics are involved.

This is another Donny waste of time and money….and the states are slobbering for any federal funds they can eek out of this situation.

More sad news about the consequences from the insurrection of 06 January…..

The fall-out from the riot is hitting deadly heights…..

Within days of the attack on the US Capitol on Jan. 6, two police officers who were at the scene took their own lives: Capitol Police Officer Howard Liebengood and Metropolitan Police Officer Jeffrey Smith. Now, two more officers who defended the Capitol that day have also died by suicide. A spokesperson for Washington DC’s Metropolitan PD announced Monday that MPD Officer Gunther Hashida, 43, was found dead at his home last Thursday and that MPD Officer Kyle deFreytag, 26, was found dead July 10, CNBC reports.

According to a GoFundMe campaign for Hashida’s family, the “devoted and loving husband and father” leaves behind a wife and three children. DeFreytag’s obituary says he “was kind, he had a quick wit and a great sense of humor & kept us laughing for 26 years.” He is survived by his parents and siblings. A fifth officer, Brian Sicknick of the Capitol Police, died Jan. 7 after collapsing the day of the riot and suffering two strokes, which the medical examiner said the attack contributed to. About 140 officers were injured. At a recent hearing before the House select committee probing the attack, CNN reports that a Capitol Police officer said officers who responded to the “traumatic” events should feel no shame in getting counseling to deal with “the emotions they are continuing to experience from the events of January 6.”

Sad news indeed.

And yet the US Congress, the representatives of the people, have basically turned a blind eye and deaf ears to the day of pain that Americans inflicted on its people.

I would like to apologize to the families for the pain they must endure thanx to the stupidity of some Americans.

We all know of the insurrection on 06 January 2021 and the search by law enforcement for some of the over-weight in-bred cowards that participated……they have even asked the public for their help identifying some of the culprits.

Well another coward has been identified this time on a dating site….

When a man on a dating app boasted about storming the Capitol, the woman he messaged told him, “We are not a match,” prosecutors say. She then got him a date with the FBI. According to court papers, upstate New York resident Robert Chapman chatted to the woman on the Bumble app a week after the Jan. 6 riot, saying, “I did storm the capitol. I made it all the way to Statuary Hall.” The woman shared the messages with law enforcement the same day and investigators found more evidence on social media, the Washington Post reports. Chapman was arrested Thursday and charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct on restricted government property, per NBC 4.

Investigators say they identified Chapman from police body camera footage after the tip from the Bumble user. Prosecutors say law enforcement also received tips about Chapman’s posts on social media, where he didn’t exactly cover his tracks—his Facebook profile picture was a selfie taken inside the Capitol, and another selfie was shared on a friend’s page, according to court documents. “My Dear friend and Brostar Robert made it in the Capitol building at the protest yesterday,” she wrote. “Wooo Hooooooooo!!!!” Authorities say Chapman was released on his own recognizance after a telehearing in federal court Thursday. The Post notes that soon after Chapman was reported, dating apps started banning users who shared images from the riot.

This macho little slug will get what he deserves.

New 06 January Riot Report

Lots has been written and reported about the breach of the Capitol by the rabid mob of overweight in-bred Trump supporters…..and the reports are not finished…..a new one of the policing of the crowd has been released….

For me this report is disturbing on several levels….

A new report from the Capitol Police force’s internal investigator says that even though the force had advance warnings about the Jan. 6 riot at the US Capitol, officers were told not to use their most powerful tools for crowd-control. The New York Times calls the watchdog report “the most devastating account to date of the lapses and miscalculations” surrounding the attack. The 104-page document from inspector general Michael A. Bolton will be addressed during a House Administration Committee hearing Thursday. It reveals that the Civil Disturbance Unit was instructed not to use tools like stun grenades to disperse the mob. Per NPR, it also reports they received “cumbersome” protective gear and riot shields that shattered upon impact due to having been stored improperly or simply being too old.

This despite the fact that, as the report reveals, the warnings in the lead-up to Jan. 6 were more clear than previously thought. “Unlike previous postelection protests, the targets of the pro-Trump supporters are not necessarily the counterprotesters as they were previously, but rather Congress itself is the target on the 6th,” a threat assessment sent three days before the siege read. Yet, the report says, officers were woefully ill-prepared to handle the attack due to intelligence breakdowns and discrepancies and poor leadership decisions. In addition, some members of the CDU had not undergone the mandatory annual training in years, and some critical equipment was in short supply.

Let me get this right…..

There were a handful of DC police on hand for a mob of thousands….and for a group of black protesters there is hundreds of cops and national guard…..is that equal response?

Don’t give me the excuse about some vandalism possibilities…..what do you think those overweight in-bred morons did to the Capitol?

Once again we see the inequality in this nation.

What will it take for this country to start waking up to the cancer of bigotry that is creeping slowly through our society and destroying piece by piece the very fabric of this nation?

Let The Prosecutions Begin!

Thanx to social media the FBI has starting arresting some of the morons that breached the police line at the Capitol building last Wednesday.

Two of the most high-profile participants in this week’s DC riots have been arrested:

  • Richard Barnett, who was pictured sitting in Nancy Pelosi’s office during the melee, was taken into custody in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Friday, reports CNN. The 60-year-old is charged with entering and remaining in restricted building grounds without authority, violent entry, disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, and theft of public property. Barnett spoke publicly after his stunt and admitted taking a personalized envelope from Pelosi’s desk. However, he left a quarter behind and says he didn’t steal it.
  • West Virginia state lawmaker Derrick Evans, who live-streamed himself in the throng, also was charged Friday with illegally entering the Capitol, per West Virginia Metro News. A petition is in the works calling the newly sworn-in Evans to resign, notes NBC News. However, Evans’ attorney says his client “committed no criminal act that day” and will not step down.

The moron with the headdress was arrested and  as well as the idiot that stole Pelosi’s lectern….

You’ve seen the photograph: A guy wearing a Trump beanie smiles and waves in the US Capitol while holding House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s lectern. That man, identified as 36-year-old Adam Johnson of Parrish, Fla., was arrested Friday night and is being held on a federal warrant, NBC News reports. Johnson, who is married to a physician and is reportedly a stay-at-home father of five, was booked into Pinellas County jail on charges of unlawfully entering a restricted building, theft of government property, and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, per WLFA, in connection to Wednesday’s violent events at the Capitol. He was quickly identified by residents who saw the viral photo. One of them was Allan Mestal, who tells WFLA that he called the FBI.

“Couldn’t believe it, the fact that I recognize somebody from our hometown, I was floored,” he says. In since-deleted social media posts, Johnson said he was in Washington DC ahead of the riots and spoke out against Black Lives Matter, per the Bradenton Herald. Johnson is among dozens who have been arrested or charged in connection to the events at the Capitol. On Saturday, federal agents arrested Jacob Anthony Chansley—AKA Jacob Angeli, AKA the QAnon Shaman—the New York Post reports. Chansley was seen in the Capitol “dressed in horns, a bearskin headdress, red, white, and blue face paint, shirtless, and tan pants,” according to a Justice Department statement. He is accused of unlawful entry into a restricted building and violent entry and disorderly conduct.

Even lawyers were part of this fiasco…..this one is from Atlanta…..

McCall Calhoun, an attorney from Americus, was among the hundreds in a pro-Trump riot who forced their way into the U.S. Capitol Jan. 6, 2021.

When hundreds of pro-Trump protesters stunned and horrified the nation by forcing their way into the United States Capitol Wednesday, self-described “Anti-Communist Counter-Revolutionary” McCall Calhoun was among the first through the doors.

“The Deep State cannot stop us,” he wrote on Parler, a social media network popular with Trump supporters, “They learned that today when we stormed the Capitol and took it. The word is we’re all coming back armed for war.”

Calhoun, a practicing attorney in Americus for 30 years, admitted his participation in the riot in an exclusive interview with the AJC in which he described the mob as patriotic and heroic.

An arm of the Republican Attorneys General Association, a national group representing the top law enforcement officers in their states, sent out robocalls encouraging people to march to the U.S. Capitol the day before the building was stormed by a pro-Trump mob.

“At 1 p.m., we will march to the Capitol building and call on Congress to stop the steal,” said the voice on the recording, which was obtained by NBC News.

The calls, which did not advocate violence or suggest the building should be breached, was sent out by the Rule of Law Defense Fund, a fundraising arm of the Republican Attorneys General Association. The groups share funding, staff and office space in Washington, D.C.

Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate and state Sen. Amanda Chase is facing calls to resign after attending the pro-Trump rally in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday. Chase addressed a crowd at the event but said she departed “just in time” before a mob began to riot and force its way into the U.S. Capitol.

Chase is one of more than a dozen state lawmakers from across the country who were in the nation’s capital Wednesday, including newly elected West Virginia state Del. Derrick Evans, a Republican who is now facing charges after a video he live-streamed showed him entering the Capitol building.

Republican lawmakers from at least eight other states — Michigan, Missouri, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Alaska, Arizona and Illinois — were present ahead of the riot or said they departed as the mob began to storm. Two outgoing state representatives — Rep. Anthony Kern of Arizona and Rep. Vernon Jones of Georgia, who announced earlier that day he had become a Republican — were in attendance. Another Virginia lawmaker, Del. Dave LaRock, was also at the rally.

It has been reported from numerous sources that Ginni Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, sponsored 80 busloads of “protesters” to Wednesday’s insurrection at the Capitol. Let’s say each bus held 30 people. That’s over 2,000 individuals. This is in addition to promulgating the lies about Donald Trump’s “stolen election” through her social media up to and including the morning of Wednesday’s insurrection. What’s the likelihood that any one of those 2,400 individuals participated in the seditious attempt at overthrowing our government? Of course, Mrs. Thomas has since deleted the relevant social media posts, but they were already captured.

A former assistant U.S. attorney raised the unnerving possibility that Donald Trump could pardon his supporters who violently stormed the Capitol on Wednesday.

Five people were dead at the end of the attack, including a police officer.

The chance of a Trump pardon — including for himself — is particularly jarring in this case because the president been accused of inciting the violence.

“If he pardons people who directly attacked our democratic process, committing crimes while they were doing it, how much more egregious, unjust, unfair, inappropriate does a presidential pardon get?” former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner said Friday on NBC 4 in Washington.

“It doesn’t get any more democracy-damaging than not being able to hold those folks accountable,” added Kirschner, who spent 30 years prosecuting crimes in the District of Columbia.

All Those US Riots

Now would be a good time for the old professor to interject some history into the news of the riots….what better time to learn some history if you are staying indoors….

There have been many riots over the years here in the good old USA….Haymarket, Watts, Tulsa, Detroit and so forth….let’s put them into context…..

The Haymarket Riot kicked off on May 4, 1886, after a bomb thrown from the crowd exploded in front of a squadron of policemen. All in all, 11 people died, making the Haymarket Riot one of the least deadly riots in American history.

You read that correctly. The infamous labor riot at Haymarket Square in Chicago was one of the least deadly riots in American history. But if the famous Haymarket Riot of the late 19th century doesn’t even come close to cracking the Top 10, which riots do, and why are they so much bloodier than the more famous labor clashes?

The answer is this: Race riots have been deadlier, and they have been the bane of America’s social stability since the 13 original states federated. In fact, institutionalized racism has been a horrific burden on the otherwise extraordinary case of the United States as an experiment in self-governance.

Adding to the race riots are clashes between nativist groups and immigrants. Race and immigration easily trump organized labor’s struggles when it comes to mob violence in the United States, and without further ado, here are the 10 deadliest riots in American history.

One “famous” riot that was left out of the list was the Zoot Suit Riots of 1943…..may not have been all that deadly but it did pit one ethnic group against the US Navy…..

The Zoot Suit Riots were a series of violent clashes during which mobs of U.S. servicemen, off-duty police officers and civilians brawled with young Latinos and other minorities in Los Angeles. The June 1943 riots took their name from the baggy suits worn by many minority youths during that era, but the violence was more about racial tension than fashion.

Is It Riot Or Resistance?

American society has been once again awaken from the Dream by protests……and as normal it is because a black person has been killed by the police.

I am sure there are a wealth of opinions on why and most of them are out of the mouths of white people who have no idea on what it is truly all about.

So is it riot or resistance?

Let’s be honest…..your opinion will be formed by what you see and hear in the news….so basically the MSM decides which it will be….

The general public’s opinions about protests and the social movements behind them are formed in large part by what they read or see in the media. This gives journalists a lot of power when it comes to driving the narrative of a demonstration.

They can emphasize the disruption protests cause or echo the dog whistles of politicians that label protesters as “thugs.” But they can also remind the public that at the heart of the protests is the unjust killing of another black person. This would take the emphasis away from the destruction of the protests and toward the issues of police impunity and the effects of racism in its many forms.

Now after about 2 weeks of violence the moralizing has begun….

Those who have rarely been the target of organized police gangsterism are once again lecturing those who have about how best to respond to it.

Be peaceful, they implore, as protesters rise up in Minneapolis and across the country in response to the killing of George Floyd. This, coming from the same people who melted down when Colin Kaepernick took a knee — a decidedly peaceful type of protest. Because apparently, when white folks say, “protest peacefully,” we mean “stop protesting.”

Everything is fine, nothing to see here.

Protest, Uprisings, and Race War

Some are asking…”But why all the violence?”

Vox took a look at that question in an article over the weekend….

Of course the protests are about George Floyd’s death. Political leaders fear violence at the protests — and any destruction of property or bodily harm is, of course, worrisome — but their concerns actually demonstrate the fundamental asymmetry that the protesters are pushing back against. The state has a monopoly on legitimate violence, and it is often directed at young black people like George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Tamir Rice — the list goes on. When they die, the police officers responsible too frequently face no repercussions because they are protected by the law. If the men who killed George Floyd go to prison for their actions, they will be exceptions that prove that longstanding rule.

Yet if the anger and frustration from centuries of racial oppression causes a peaceful protest to become “violent” — and most of the reported attacks have been directed against property, not people, though one man was tragically killed in Detroit — suddenly that other kind of violence becomes the dominant story so far as political leaders are concerned, a disruption to the natural order that must be corrected. The systemic racism that has led to so many black lives being cut short becomes secondary.

But it shouldn’t, because that’s the real problem America must grapple with. Otherwise, sooner or later, this will all happen again.

The most logical next question was how did the police get authorized the use of these choke holds?

Ever hear of the City of Los Angeles v Lyons?

We can lay some of the blame at the feet of SCOTUS.

Lyons brought a federal lawsuit against the city and officers who assaulted him. But that case, City of Los Angeles v. Lyons (1983), did not end well for him. Decades later, the 5-4 decision still stands as one of the greatest obstacles to civil rights lawyers challenging police brutality in cases like George Floyd’s.

Adolph Lyons was not the only man choked by a Los Angeles police officer. Between 1975 and 1980, LAPD officers used chokeholds on at least 975 occasions.

As Justice Thurgood Marshall wrote in his dissenting opinion, “the city instructs its officers that use of a chokehold does not constitute deadly force.” Nevertheless, “no less than 16 persons have died following the use of a chokehold by an LAPD police officer,” 12 of whom were black men.

President Trump, declaring himself a “president of law and order,” threatened Monday to deploy “thousands and thousands of heavily armed soldiers, military personnel and law enforcement officers” to American cities, claiming governors and local officials had “failed to take necessary action” to end civil unrest.

As officials warned that extremist groups may have infiltrated the protests over George Floyd’s death, President Trump on Sunday asserted that the US would declare antifa a terrorist group. “The United States of America will be designating ANTIFA as a Terrorist Organization,” he tweeted, after days of tweets about “LAW & ORDER!” and “ANARCHISTS” and the need to use the “unlimited power of our Military.” The New York Times notes Trump has no clear authority to actually do that, seeing as antifa, which stands for anti-fascist, is not an organization but “a diffuse movement of left-wing protesters.” Even if it were an organization, there is no law granting the federal government authority to declare a domestic group a terrorist organization; it can only do so for foreign entities. (Politico has more on the ins and outs of this.) After Trump’s tweet, Attorney General William Barr said the FBI would partner with state and local police to identify domestic terrorists who are instigating riots.

The AP reports that federal officials and experts who track extremist groups have both warned that far-left and far-right groups appear to be at work “stoking violence” amid otherwise peaceful protests, and that foreign agents might be behind a disinformation campaign on social media aimed at increasing political tensions. One expert explains to the Washington Post that while the role of outside groups is likely being exaggerated by the administration, it is true that some people simply use situations like this as an excuse to loot stores while others infiltrate the protests in order to turn them violent and thus discredit them. That’s what some Minnesota officials think is happening, warning, per CNN, that white supremacist “agitators” appear to be attending protests in the state. But one expert says she sees evidence of groups hoping to start a second civil war: “They want to co-opt [the protests] in order to start their war. They see themselves as being on the side of protesters and that the protesters themselves are useful in causing anarchy.”

But you know how pathetic this action is…..why?

Department of Safety Commissioner John Harrington said they are contact-tracing the arrested and added that an investigation is underway about white nationalist groups posting online to encourage their members to use the protests as a cover to create chaos.

He said some of the 40 arrests made in the Twin Cities Friday night were of people linked to white supremacist groups and organized crime.

“The people that are doing this are not Minneapolis residents,” Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said. “They are coming largely from outside the city outside the region to prey on everything we have built.”

Why is the federal government buying more riot gear during this time of pandemic?

The federal government has ramped up security and police-related spending in response to the coronavirus pandemic, including issuing contracts for riot gear, disclosures show.

The purchase orders include requests for disposable cuffs, gas masks, ballistic helmets, and riot gloves, along with law enforcement protective equipment for federal police assigned to protect Veterans Affairs facilities. The orders were expedited under a special authorization “in response to Covid-19 outbreak.”

The Veterans Affairs department, which manages nearly 1,500 health care care facilities around the country, has also extended special contracts for coronavirus-related security services.

Redcon Solutions Group, a private security company founded by Iraq War veterans, has won over $1.6 million in contracts to provide guards for “Covid-19 screening security guard services.” Similar contracts have gone out to private security firms to guard VA facilities in San Francisco, Des Moines, and Fayetteville, among others.

The increased security contracts appeared shortly after a recent Inspector General report noted an increase in absenteeism among VA employees and shortages among VA police. The IG report noted that there is “additional strain caused by the need for additional police presence for COVID-19-related screenings” of veterans at all VA health facilities and recommended the hiring of contract security services.
