You can bet your bottom dollar that the forces of global capitalism will be spending billions on wedging their way back into Venezuela after being spurned all of these years by Chavez. Let’s hope his successor is as tough as he was to keep the people rallied.
Watching from Brazil it seemed it was almost an American sport of demonising Chavez. A great deal of progress was made in education and health. His subsidization policies were terrible (you don’t lift people from poverty by cheapening the price of rice), but the efforts (and successes) in education cannot be understated.
John, when they speak badly about Venezuela they are talking out of the mouth of a capitalist…there is little concern for social advancements…..sad….
Larruy, my guess is that unless his VP wins election Venezuela will be raped like Chile in the 70′s……
